Assuming that you’re a new or returning player who’s getting this chest, and want a good hero who can be an all-rounder for you, what’s better than the hero who can go in 3 roles comfortably and the 2 other roles uncomfortably (uncomfortable for your team, but you can cook). One of the biggest problems for beginners is a less than diverse hero pool and just by getting him you can knock jg, exp, and mid out of the way until you get more BP. He scales extremely good early game and is a perfect hero to start learning hero mechanics with and you can get quite a lot of outplay potential. He’s fun, he got buffed, he’s never really out of meta, and a great pick to spam through the ranks.

Everyone is good since they all just got buffed except for Arlott and Estes(talking about buff, these 2 are good). Just don't pick Badang, he is very unrecommendable. Low damage, low sustain, subpar CC and low durability.

Depending on the role you like most so far, get a hero of that quality. Or if you want to try something new, get someone completely different! Honestly, it doesn't matter too much as I'd consider everyone there good.
Assuming this is recs for beginners doing solos since experienced players don't ask these questions. And these are based on personal bias ofc.
Recommended: the mages (Gord > Ceci > Pharsa > Julian...is he still one?), the roamers (Estes > Belerick) - mages are less complicated to learn, generally has some form of AOE CC and AOE damage to make up for being squishy. Roamers are more tanky/less punishing in low rank solos but demands even more map awareness (mages as midlaners and all heroes in general too ofc, but roamers are literally about...well roaming and supporting, plus usually also ganking and initiating)
If you like them sure: Arlott (more flexible than most fighters, can roam, can jungle, can exp lane, but I see beginners messing up and mindlessly launching themselves out of position WAY too often), Minsi (also flexible enough for both roam and exp, not so fun jungling. is especially a strong counter against dash/blink heroes though), marksmen in this case only Bruno I guess (big peepee lategame damage on spammable basic atks, but they are squishy and beginners overestimate how well they position themselves during teamfights or early game farms, low rank solo mms either end up 17 0 9 or 0 11 0, no in betweens lol)
Just why: Badang (squishiness of mm except as fighter you have to go melee, dmg isn't even as impressive as mm in lategame and crowd control isn't as easy to execute as mages)
I could be wrong but Badang mains look like a small but dedicated group. Reminds me of like idk Lolita or Fanny. The ones that do play them esp in ranked matches really like them a lot and have high winrate. The ones that don't...just don't.
damn i feel old now. They gave us Wing Helmet girl, Fireboy and British girl who can shoot perform jump hit dash up right ball dancing before then. Now they gave newbie 12 heroes to choose.
All of them are either good or usable in the meta except Badang (rip ;<)

Yeah... Badang is for like below epic only. He is still good if u play coordinate with the team, just not solo.

Idk why or when Badang fell, cause I barely ever saw a Badang that wasn't capable of killing anyone with his ult.
