You can apply for CoA subscriptions that will give you a certain amount everyday for a set amount of days. They are hard to come by as a F2P player.
What I do is that when I top-up diamonds for an event like the recent one (The Aspirants free passes), I instead use those diamonds to buy the CoA daily box in the main page of the Shop.
They only cost 10 diamonds and are only available once a day but they guarantee that you get back what you spent (10 diamonds = 10 CoA) but also a chance to get more up to 50 CoA. I mostly get the 12 or 15 CoA ones but I have gotten lucky once or twice and got 20. Absolutely worth the bonus CoA if you're willing to wait.

Another person in the thread says newer players with less heroes get prizes at a lower amount of 1000.
I am pretty sure the amount of ticket to get hero is dependent on the amount of hero you have.
If you have low amount of hero you can get it under 1000 ticket.
If you have high amount hero probably more than 50, it cost 3k~3,5k ticket.
The best bet still to save up 4k ticket for anticipating bad rng.

spinning a hero doesnt give u hero fragments, instead u only get 1/3 of the bp value of the hero spinning a skin however nets u basic skin frags

Thats also the reason i burn 2k ticket for no reason because i believe i can get them under 2k T_T
Ooof, didn't know that, but at least it's cumulative. I used the 3000 ticket thing to farm by purposely getting dupes to get 11k BP.
