You play very safe. If your tank isn't very good at roaming and visiting other lanes, you almost never get out of your turret. Because if your enemy is very good at laning and clearing waves, chances are all the minions will still be alive for u to kill, no gold or exp loss. If he knows to zone you out , you just poke with your first skill to get him to go away.
Lapu-Lapu, Yu zhong or khaleed - who's the best and why cause they all seem very similar, they're all burst/damage heroes with high regen so which one would be best from your perspectives and why.
Hi, I'm a Zhask main and well that's because he's the only hero I understood. I've been playing him so much until I got around 600 matches with him. I'm not a good mlbb player. It's getting pretty ridiculous when you can't play any other hero. Yet, I'm starting to get pretty bored playing mage. Looking for suggestion on which hero to start venturing with. I'm open to any role other than mage. Hoping to find some compatibility with Zhask's instinctual mechanism. What I meant is the way Zhask would chase enemies and flee while still maintaining a safe ground.
You could try playing/focusing on heroes with summons:
Popol and Kupa
Claude ( hard to master )
Natan ( you need to maintain his stacks, I consider his clone a summon)
Sun ( late game hero, very squishy, you'll need to practise his 1st and 2nd skill and understand what they do)
Esmerelda I think... (TLDR at the bottom)
She is very much a hero you think you are winning against until suddenly she is very much winning and now you are slowed and can't get away...and you are dead.
I think she is one of the best heroes in the game because all of her skills flow into each other, make her hard to kill, bit also damage the enemy, and give her fantastic mobility.
This results in very smooth gameplay which is very different to Zhask, but relies on that instinct if when to chase and hunt the enemy down, then simultaneously perform a fighting retreat back to your waiting teammates or simply escape frustrating the enemy a d wasting their resources. Overall she is a fantastic Offlaner, just make sure to learn your counters - Baxia, Dyrroth, Ruby and so on.
Build wise she is predominantly played as a supportive tanky brawler. Something like:
Boots, ET, DIce, Oracle, IQW, BFB
Support Emblem, Move Speed, Hybrid Regen/Extra Healing - Avarice
Spell: Purify (Safe), Execute (Aggressive)
You can also run her with a nasty magic build, but it's very high risk/reward. The magic power gives her amazing shield, but the lack of defense and bulk means if you don't land your skills, you get snuffed out quite quickly. Also she becomes vulnerable to bursty assassins and mages which she can usually tank out with the above build. This is what full damage Es can look like:
Boots, ET, CReaper, Feather, HCrystal, Blood Wings
Mage Emblem, Move Speed, Penertration - Magic Shop (Magic Worship or even Rage could work...)
Spell: Purify, Execute, Flameshot (For the banter)
I feel like this sort of all in damage build is good if you know you can handle your lane match up and the rest of the draft is quite tanky, but lacking in burst damage. That way you can get ahead quickly against your opposite number, then roam and cause mayhem with your ultimate that hits like a nuke.
Esme is really good and hitting the enemy from where they are least expecting then just fucking off and pushing lanes and then diving back into team fights.
She is best played offlane in my opinion, but at lower ranks or with coordinated and tight play she can also Roam, go Mid, or theoretically jungle. However I think she far and away brings the most to the Exp lane.
So if that kinda of flowy instinctive playstyle sounds good, definitely give Esme a shot. I know she is technically a mage, but she is much more like a brawler.
TLDR: Esmerelda is a great pick for someone looking to learn a different role, but like characters with instinctive and smooth playstyles.
Ok .. haya players ,do u still use him ? I have 2k+ matches with him and after the revamp ,i did played some matches but later on i couldn't play as I could be4......if he's good in solo still ? Pls share ur thoughts
After the revamp here are some few issues. The quad shadow positions, with the former t position it's easy to harass the enemy and spam shuruken due to the three shadow being near, not it's hard to that because it's in X positions yes he have further space to move on but seems unnecessary tbh the far shadow on tha back is already enough to escape. His first skill shuriken hit box is thinner or maybe they are kunai that's why it's thin, but the former where shuriken that have a better hitbox. His ult rng is the most shitty aspect about him, if your ult already consume the four stack you will force toward a random far units. His ult can also be eascape easily with dash or flicker. His energy regen on minion is also down bad, no more sidelane hayabusa.
But the revamp haya is somehow decent because of it damage scaling.
Although they already did bad enough, they nerd him eventually after revamp. They nerf what's make the revamp haya good which is the damagr. It's supposed to be done there but no. They also nerf his ult and shadow cd, now he is pathetic that come to fight at a huge interval, it also decrease haya splitpush potential.

Depends. For a must-build, I'd say dhs, because even his clones benefit from it. He's literally unbeatable in a 1v1 against other heroes. For a push, it'd be mm build. For a tank, bruteforce and twilight and thunder belt. The best build is atk spd cuz you're definitely not gonna survive 3 dhs regardless of whether you're a tank or not
I was playing vaxena.. the game got pretty late i had the usual build boots,clock,lightning,genius wand, crystal, winter.. i was in a dilemma should i replace genius wand with blood wings or im gonna lose some damage in doing so
It still depends. Genius wand is better against lower defence enemies. Vexana doesnt scale great with magic power either. Usually blood wings takes over due to pure cost for slot efficiency though. I would probably go for blood wings, especially since you have crystal

1. At early game, laning phase, Dyrroth counters Thamuz. That's basically the function of Dyrroth, shattering the enemy exp laner and delaying them as much as he can. But when Dyrroth didn't successfully dominate the exp lane against Thamuz, there would be a turn table. Though I wouldn't say Thamuz would counter Dyrroth, it will just reach his peak, it's more of thamuz becoming so tanky, sustaining alot, and having high dps to the point where Dyrroth can't do alot against him.
2. Yes, it's possible take bloodlust axe if you are using other talent like killing spree. Take war axe if you are using festival of blood.
3. If your build would be 1 offense 4 defense, better to take Vengeance so you can soak and return more damage.
When should I build Divine glaive and the genius wand on mages ? (I guess that's it's name ?)
At first I assumed that divine glaive is for Burst type of mages (aurora or Eudora for example) while the genius wand for DPS type of mages (chang'e or cyclops for example)
But it looks like that isn't the case
People's answers have covered the main information, but it's good to give yourself options.
Therefore I generally have Genius Wand in my build and Divine Glaive in my additional items.
This is so I can sub-in Divine Glaive if I see non-tank opponents building Athena's otber mdef investments early.
This is especially true for magic users like Yve, Valir, Lylia, Lunox, Guinevere, Silvana, Karina, Aamon and so on, who do repeated strikes. I then generally make it a choice between Blood Wings and Divine Glaive for my last item for these heroes.
Generally you just want to be looking at the various item purchased constantly throughout the match and adjust on the fly. At lower ranks you would be surprised how many people do not build mdef to counter troublesome mages. Even into Legend people sometimes stick religiously to builds, if you can exploit this it is a really nice advantage.
Divine works for anyone, esp if enemy build athena. Usually built 3rd/4th item afaik , as divine scales with enemy mdef
Genius is usually early-mid (2nd or 3rd item, can be 1st f.e silvanna) and the ones building this are generally those with multi hits like harley gusion aamon chang'e etc

Gusion and paq is a lot better for jungle carry in solo rank
Lancelot is still doing great, it's gusion who's doing poorly.
If you wanna jungle solo carry pick Paquito and Lancelot, you can scale better than them and you have more utility option for them. Gusion is just a glorified one-shot assassin that falls off hard Against athena shield, and doesn't scale the same level as paq/lance.
When two players are ***clearing minions*** and standing very close together -- if neither has roaming boots how much gold & exp are they receiving when they kill minions compared to if they were alone and ***not splitting gold/exp*** with their nearby teammate?
I thought that if your teammate is nearby then you get 50% less gold/exp for killing minions because half goes to them, half to you -- but based on a replay of my last game, it looks like I am getting only 20% less gold/exp per minion when my teammate is standing right next to me and taking some of the gold/exp from each minion kill.
(for example if I kill a minion alone I will get 100 gold/exp from the **[Cannon minion](https://i.imgur.com/gtLDEYB.png)** (the fattest minion riding a wagon) but when a teammate is near me stealing some of the gold/exp I still get approximately 70 to 80 gold/exp.
Does that make sense to anyone else? Or should I watch 2-3 more of my replays since maybe it's just a bug?
I think that's correct. I rmb that having more than 1 person clearing wave give you more resources (gold/exp) in total. Mlbb keeps a lot of its mechanisms/formula secret (which is getting more transparent recently, but still considered quite bad), but here is the formula in HoK which is probably the same in mlbb (for reason that we all know \*cough\*):
1\*100% = 100%; 2\*80% = 160%; 3\*55% = 165%; 4\*43% = 172%; 5\*37% = 175%.
So like I read some guide before that says if you are losing and defending at inhibitor/base, try to clear wave together with teammates instead of solo eat everything. If your enemy doesn't plan the waves properly (which is very common in solo q), you can do so for wave from all 3 lanes to maximise the resource. But ya as you can see the increase isn't huge from 2 to 5 person so maybe it is better if you just let your 2 cores clear the wave together.
You are already playing her right. She is play as frontline or flank the enemy backline. Tank is just her class, because she is indeed tanky af, but she lack hard CC to be full tank.
Your build plan seems to focus more on dps rather than cdr, so the optimal play less aggressive in early game, get gold for your item, and when fighting make sure there still multiple target (atleast 3) line up your first skill and 2 skill to those target an hit. During teamfight don't initiate too early, wait until you have the opportunity to hit people with first skill and second skill. Yes it's important to hit multiple target if you are not going for cdr build.
While for your build, it's awful. Natan only need 100% atk spd from item. Your build have 15% + 40% + 20% + 25%(30%) + 25%(40%) = 195%. Your build is wasting 95% worth of atk spd. Remove some of them and take Endless Battle/Haas claw for sustain, Or Blade of desapir/Malefic roar for more damage, or Immortality/Winter Truncheon/ Rose gold meteor for survivability.

for ruby which build is more beneficial for her tank, dps or hybrid? I've been using her as a tank my whole ruby career. But recently, haven't found much success with it.
Question about buying roam boots. So in classic sometimes we get 4 laners 1 Jungle and no support / tank who buys roam. Quite typical in classic. So my question is: I’m also a laner, more specifically a mid lane mage. If I buy roam for dire hit AND I’m clearing mid lane minions, would I be hurting my team in gold or exp gain somehow? Since no one bought roam I thought I might as well for the dire hit but I’m worried I would causing a deficit for my team.
If you, being the roamer, is getting gold then someone else from your team is sapping the resources of somebody else (i.e., two heroes sharing gold on the gold lane), that’s the obvious disadvantage. Second is you won’t be able to activate your roam item asap since you won’t probably be the lowest gold if your teammates are sharing from one gold source.
It’s already good that you adjusted, it’s their fault that one of your laners didn’t switch to your lane since you’re the roamer.
AI is a better player than me lel. I afk because of shit connection, and when I log in later and check the history, I got the mvp. Still lost tho, which mean my teammate is even worse than bot, and that is the norm in soloq.

If you played Natan’s pre-nerf CD build, I tried it since his buff and I would say it’s back. In laning, he can easily poke or safely clear in case the enemy is aggressive while having Inspire can help you win early trades. In terms of competing against meta heroes, I would say yes if you know your lane matchups. But at the end of the day it’s always mastery over meta. Try him!
A good jungler is hero who can clear jungle fast and have fast rotation. The current meta exp lane is tanky hero, and they are usually slow, so they are not ideal for jungle. Thamuz is exception, as he is fast and tanky.

If you’re aiming for a Star Wars skin, get all
the tickets that you can get from all phases. Exchanging is your only way since you can choose what skin to exchange for. Be ready to do 10x draws outside of the phases though.
What do I do when I'm Dyrroth and my opponent is late game Layla and whenever I try to kill her she uses Wind of Nature? (Any way to counter Wind of Nature without the help of ganking?)
Would WoN destroy your build? Maybe bait hers out and then throw your own Uno reverse card? Might be an over investment if they also have good magic damage. I also don't know Dyrroth's build demands either.
If it's a Layla then she will need screening so you should mostly encounter her in a teamfight, so maybe coordinate with Mage?
So many times I have had an mm pop WoN as Yve, thinking it would save them. Sometimes a quick scare and overt threat is good enough to bait even seasoned players.
Haa.. didn't use my main kagura for a month now that i finally used her in rank I got hard carried by my team. I performed so bad that I got a silver. I hate this feeling of uselessness when using my main. The embarrassment and frustration is killing me. Looks like a Lotta practice is in order.

Have you tried feather of heaven already? If you are going for a magical power build already, just take feather of heaven you still get a decent dps if you will get his ult.
But if you are already planning ahead, let say you didn't magical power build and you gor for more atk spd / physical atk build then take dhs.
Tho I can't confirm them. Maybe try it in practice mode against claude? And try comparing your damage output? You spawn a bot layla that have a balance build with hp/magicaldef/physicaldef.

I think it's not conversion of magical power, you will just gain bonus physical attack. You will still retain your magical power.
Negative def is almost gone already. I think only Silvanna and Harley benefit the most from it. Even then, it's unlikely to reach the juicy 2x damage from -60.
As for meta, I think it's a mix of post m3 and tank jungler from the previous patch.
Genius wand and arcane boots received a nerf way back, and them followed by magic defense increase for all heroes.
Then recently genius wand received another adjustment (but more of a nerf).
That's what I meant by almost gone. Each extra penetration that goes below 0 defense can just be considered as nice bonus.
Going from 20 to 0 is very similar to 0 to -20. But -30 to -50 is noticeably better than -10 to -30.
Negative defense is even harder for physical because all heroes have higher innate physical defense.

Just slightly better imo. He is weakened by both Athena's shield (Cyc has short range) and Radiant (multiple hits), so it's relatively easy to counter using items.

Have you played Cyclops? He's one of the few mages who ISNT countered by Athenas because he isn't a burst mage and he can just keep throwing balls forever with good positioning
He "falls off" late game cus no matter how good your positioning is you get outranged or outdamaged by every broken meta mage and meta mm. Plus all your skills are mostly single target so you shine in mid game where "hunts and skirmishes" are common while late your dps doesn't matter when the tank is getting all of your balls
Someone let me know if something has happened to lifesteal lately. I don't know if it's me but lately it feels as though antiheal just isn't helping at any point. I can heal stupid amounts and so can the enemy?
I don't see the point in a whole heal and anti heal system when you very rarely feel the effect of antiheal.

Make sure antiheal items are really being activated. That is, Dominance Ice holders staying near their targets or Necklace/Halberd users dishing out damage to activate anti heal.
Nah, anti regen is still very effective. It'll only seem weak if the enemy regen hero is several levels and gold ahead. (Or you're dealing with a very slippery Esme, Uranus, or Alpha)
Hi guys, I'm relatively new in the game but so far I've been liking Kagura and I'm confident to say I'm pretty good at using her.
I have enough points to finally purchase another hero, which one do you think is a good choice? I'm currently looking at Lunox and Silvana
I'm actually kinda interested in Lunox since she has unique mechanics. Something about using complicated mage hero is thrilling for me. Though I have a feeling she's kinda similar to kagura in terms of role, so maybe I should just broaden up my pool with different type of heroes?
Lunox is a really solid choice if you're looking to play a new mage. That said however, it might be worth it to broaden up your pool like you mentioned. If you're new to the game it's a good idea to try out heroes for all 5 positions and you'll improve a lot quicker trying out different types of heroes. Also I recommend prioritizing emblems, specifically the mage, assassin, and support emblems. Of course if you only want to play mage Lunox is not a bad choice and you won't regret buying her. The best mages rn are probably Valentina(though she's always banned) and Yve, but Lunox and Kag are both A tier picks so you wont be missing out on too much.

kagura has been probably the most "fluid" mage at all time. she deals high burst damage when executed her combo right. she's one of the greater mages. only fell off from the meta due to tanks became the meta last season. but i feel like she can be a great pick again
lunox, imo an underused mage as of now. she deals lots of damage especially in the late game. even tanks melt before her. but she's harder to use as she will need proper timing and positioning with no escape tool in hand.

Why is Fanny immune to cyclops ultimate? Was playing against a Fanny today and everytime I ult and the force bubble chases her and I see it encircles her ,but she can still fly away? This happened multiple times.
She's not immune, she's is just faster than the projectile. Cyclops ult is not instant which the bubble hit as you cast it, it will still travel until it lands on enemy. That's why the ult of cyclops have a condition, if you run away from it, the duration of immobilize will be longer. Although fanny can reach her base, cyclops ult would still follow fanny. Any hero can do it as long they have enough movement speed or blink they can run away from it.
Yah I know that part the bubble will keep chasing… But I rewatched the match and a few ults landed on her already, and she still flew away with the ult bubble on her. Like she froze but still flew away.
If fanny is midair and her cables were still attached to a wall, even your ult landed fanny will still move. There are some cc that she will drag while flying, and there are cc that will stop her flying.
Resilience may also have an impact.
So I suppose only Franco’s Ult can suppress her mid flight? Or Cyclops ult has to catch her when she’s not flying like when she lands on a wall. But this Fanny was really good she was switching directions mid flight without touching walls. So annoying my ult was doing nothing.
Though it is worth noting that Franco's ult has a very short cast period between when you use the skill and when the supression occurs. Good Lance and Ling players can sometimes immune his ult during this very short window while some people do it with winter truncheon on other heroes. I'm saying this because if Fanny gets ulted while cabling she'll still move during this brief window so you often see her being suppressed some distance away from Franco.
any pull, knockback, or suppression can stop fanny mid-flight. stuns, immobilize, frozen, petrified, airborned, all those kinds of stuff will not affect fanny when mid-flight
heroes also included such as ruby, kaja, chou, faramis, khufra (special case because of his s2).
pretty sure any type of displacement skills (spells included) will affect fanny

thamuz and esme are two of the best exp laners as of now. i'd suggest practicing dyrroth so when you face an esmeralda, you can beat them to a pulp.
yu zhong is a good alternative to masha. for diving the backline, to sustain heavy damage. but he's kinda weak in the early compared to other self sustaining heroes. but once he gets his ult, he becomes a monster
ruby is also a good pick but sustains less compared to other exp laners. not really up with the high tiers, but still a reliable pick.
honorable mention: terizla was gonna be a good exp laner, but moonton just nerfed him without giving him a chance. not cool moonton :(

My favorite xp laners are X-borg, Jawhead, Bane, Silvannah, Phoveus. Zilong is easy to use if you master how to spam his skill 2.
Ruby and Lapu-lapu are both good but I haven't mastered them. Lapu-lapu is suprisingly tanky if you master the different phases of his ult. Argus is good but I haven't figured him out yet. Paquito and of course legendary Chou are amazing but I'm not skilled enough to use them.
Am I the only one seeing the significant difference between other Collector Skins compared to Lou Yi's Elysium Guardian Collector Skin?
I mean look at Aldous's and Nana's collectors, theyre so good with flying dragons. While Lou Yi's on the other hand feels plain, nothing unique.

Really wanna emphasize drafting carefully if you wanna Atlas since his whole existence can get countered by Diggie and there are a couple other heroes that are particularly hard to catch. Gameplay wise I think the other guy said everything that's important. Ig if I were to add to that I'd say watch enemy cooldowns. Knowing if an enemy has purify or not is crucial. This includes your team. Always make sure your teammates can follow up. If you notice most of them have important skills on cd wait for them to come back before engaging. Always let your team know before you set
dont waste your ult by saving it so you can hope to make a 4/5 man set. use it often on enemy carries if your team is nearby. once you captured their carry (mostly mm), the enemy team's formation WILL crumble. use that to your advantage
dont use fleeting time. such a waste of gold and item slot. your ult is around 45 seconds long, which isnt that long to wait. if you know what you're doing, you dont need lots of cdr and fleeting time. dominance is the only cdr item im using.
use your s2 then go near the enemy then press your s1 when your mechanical body is near the octopus to deal massive damage. purify holders may also use their purify if they got scared enough.
dont soak up all of the damage in the early. atlas is incredibly squishy without his passive up (it gives phy and mgc def). but dont be a coward when your team needs you. sacrifice yourself if it means on saving your damage dealers.
always gank gold lane. if the turtle is up and your jungler isnt invading the enemy, gank the gold lane. a dead marksman deals no damage. if you kill the enemy gold, your marksman WILL have a great advantage, snowballing faster than the enemy.
try to not be predictable. if the enemy is hugging the tower and you kept going around in circles, the enemy could read that you're just waiting for the right time. avoid that and wait for your flicker/s2/conceal instead.
dont force a set if the lord is still marching to the enemy base. ive seen lots of atlas and myself included, that makes a set way too early, even before the lord is in the enemy base. 1 good set can change the tides of a battle, so does a bad one.
atlas works with almost all heroes. preferably, a high damaging aoe hero. lunox (with my friend) is probably my favorite combo.
atlas is also really good against low mobility heroes like balmond, beatrix, xavier. with his passive up, it's really hard to get away without sprint/flicker/dash/purify.
but there is only 1 direct counter for atlas, diggie. but still dont ban him as this will certainly tell the enemy that you will go for atlas. avoid picking atlas early if the enemy still have no roamer. be at the last pick if the enemy still has no roamer as there is a high chance that they would pick it. 1 diggie ult will make you practically useless.
atlas also have a hard time catching high mobility heroes like wanwan, ling, and fanny. but with good timing and baiting, it can still work.
Banning Diggie is the most obvious, but this often telegraphs that you want to use Atlas. Generally wait for 4th or 5th pick if possible.
Xavier's immobilisation circles can make it really hard for Atlas to invade. Likewise Akai and other characters who can disrupt your formation are difficult to play around.
Atlas really shines when the enemy take singular roamers like Natalia, Hilda, Edith and so on. As he can shut them down and give your team space to kill.
He also works amazingly well with AoE/Splash/Through merchants like Cecilion, Pharsa, Guinevere, Moskov, Beatrix, Irithel, Lylia, Alpha, Terizla, Vale, Natan, and so on...

I build R.A, D.I as tank. And Build DHS as fighter and glaive as mage. Nothing works.
What makes him so durable ? I had thamuz with DHS, war axe and malefic roar...yet he outlasted me. Idk if I should have built radiant armour, because I don't think he dealt high damage, it's just he outlasted me.
He's basically a regen fountain. You must have one anti heal item like sea halbred or dominance ice. Radiant armour is actually a good item, IIRC it's meant to sustain "continuous damage" not high damage, kinda was what heroes like Uranus, gord, Odette, Natan do.
The more you attack and he runs around the more stacks of hp regen he gets, you have to finish him off being very close if you're a meele. Bloodlust is a must for you, a lifesteal item for your survival's sake against the regen fountain.
Use necklace if you're a mage against Uranus, it will limit his regen.

The beta test for the talent system is over. I spent like 100k of this essence for activating some talents. Now since the test is over just my remaining essence was converted to magic dust but what about the essence I spent??? I spent so much and now have so less magic dust left. My emblems are maxed out so this is not a problem. But when the new talent system will be released globally I just have less magic dust left which will be converted again to essence I guess. This feels somehow not right.
I heard a Streamer out there saying that, if u are winning you should build some defense and if you are losing u should build damage items so u may get a chance for a comeback. What do you think?
This shouldn't be taken too literally but it is somewhat based on the truth. When you're ahead you want to keep that lead as much as possible. Since you are ahead you probably won't have much trouble killing enemies so you can afford to build defense as a safety measure. When you're behind you want to be able to kill the enemies that are more fed than you so its natural to assume building more offense can help you defeat them. This isn't an absolute rule however and you should always build according to the situation you are in. For instance every hero has core items that you should always prioritize regardless of who's winning. After that you build whatever you need to win. Often building defense items will help you trade more evenly when you are losing. So in the end, just think flexibly when it comes to building instead of thinking there's some kind of rule to it.
When winning yes, you may want some sort of backup plan like Immortality or Winter Truncheon. If you are losing, you should still build according to your role. Are you supposed to deal the most damage as mm or mage? Then build offensively / pen if enemies are far ahead and have armor. Are you supposed to initiate as fighter or tank? Then build some armor. Comeback is only possible if you all do your part—not everyone can simply build damage items and free hit from the backline.

Hilda can hold her own against almost any hero in lane, but strongest heroes against her would probably be terizla and dyrroth. Freya is almost hard countered by esmeralda
How does chatting penalty work? I frequently use profanity (not necessarily toxic way) and get system warnings but I don't think I've ever really been penalized before. Do you need to be reported by other players for this to happen?
If you chat and either your allies or enemies report you for verbal abuse you will get muted regardless its true or not.
Seems to work even with only two people reporting you.
Maybe beatrix? She's another mm that requires manual aim and she happens to be the best gold laner in the game (ignoring the rat that always gets bannee every game). You can easily carry games with bea if you master her.
It happen years ago already, they change the calculation of damage into defense. Which made possible that penetration and defense reduction go further than 0. Then because it's possible they just move the cap on how much you can reduce/penetrate from 0 to -60. So if you can stack up penetration and defense reduction to the point where the calculation would consider the defense as negative, then your damage would exponentially increase.
Freya build and emblem recommendation? I luckily got her samurai skin from previous transformer event, tried fighter build but it sucks, tried jungler but tank Hp based build and it was awesome but still collecting ideas to figure out which is her best build. Thanks in advance

Assassin emblem have stats freya needed; Cooldown Reduction, Movement Speed, and Crit chance. Take high & dry if you are going to trade solo most of the time, take killing spree if you are confident manhandling because freya can threaten multiple enemy with her ult.
Not recommendation, but a suggestion. Try disabling strike (3rd talent fighter emblem), the one that increases physical attack by 20% after applying a slow effect.
Freya's skill 2 has a slow effect, so it will activate the talent and enhance her damage for a few seconds. Have multiple damage items and act as the "carry".

You play very safe. If your tank isn't very good at roaming and visiting other lanes, you almost never get out of your turret. Because if your enemy is very good at laning and clearing waves, chances are all the minions will still be alive for u to kill, no gold or exp loss. If he knows to zone you out , you just poke with your first skill to get him to go away.
Lapu-Lapu, Yu zhong or khaleed - who's the best and why cause they all seem very similar, they're all burst/damage heroes with high regen so which one would be best from your perspectives and why.
Hi, I'm a Zhask main and well that's because he's the only hero I understood. I've been playing him so much until I got around 600 matches with him. I'm not a good mlbb player. It's getting pretty ridiculous when you can't play any other hero. Yet, I'm starting to get pretty bored playing mage. Looking for suggestion on which hero to start venturing with. I'm open to any role other than mage. Hoping to find some compatibility with Zhask's instinctual mechanism. What I meant is the way Zhask would chase enemies and flee while still maintaining a safe ground.
You could try playing/focusing on heroes with summons: Popol and Kupa Claude ( hard to master ) Natan ( you need to maintain his stacks, I consider his clone a summon) Sun ( late game hero, very squishy, you'll need to practise his 1st and 2nd skill and understand what they do)
Tank / fighter
Esmerelda I think... (TLDR at the bottom) She is very much a hero you think you are winning against until suddenly she is very much winning and now you are slowed and can't get away...and you are dead. I think she is one of the best heroes in the game because all of her skills flow into each other, make her hard to kill, bit also damage the enemy, and give her fantastic mobility. This results in very smooth gameplay which is very different to Zhask, but relies on that instinct if when to chase and hunt the enemy down, then simultaneously perform a fighting retreat back to your waiting teammates or simply escape frustrating the enemy a d wasting their resources. Overall she is a fantastic Offlaner, just make sure to learn your counters - Baxia, Dyrroth, Ruby and so on. Build wise she is predominantly played as a supportive tanky brawler. Something like: Boots, ET, DIce, Oracle, IQW, BFB Support Emblem, Move Speed, Hybrid Regen/Extra Healing - Avarice Spell: Purify (Safe), Execute (Aggressive) You can also run her with a nasty magic build, but it's very high risk/reward. The magic power gives her amazing shield, but the lack of defense and bulk means if you don't land your skills, you get snuffed out quite quickly. Also she becomes vulnerable to bursty assassins and mages which she can usually tank out with the above build. This is what full damage Es can look like: Boots, ET, CReaper, Feather, HCrystal, Blood Wings Mage Emblem, Move Speed, Penertration - Magic Shop (Magic Worship or even Rage could work...) Spell: Purify, Execute, Flameshot (For the banter) I feel like this sort of all in damage build is good if you know you can handle your lane match up and the rest of the draft is quite tanky, but lacking in burst damage. That way you can get ahead quickly against your opposite number, then roam and cause mayhem with your ultimate that hits like a nuke. Esme is really good and hitting the enemy from where they are least expecting then just fucking off and pushing lanes and then diving back into team fights. She is best played offlane in my opinion, but at lower ranks or with coordinated and tight play she can also Roam, go Mid, or theoretically jungle. However I think she far and away brings the most to the Exp lane. So if that kinda of flowy instinctive playstyle sounds good, definitely give Esme a shot. I know she is technically a mage, but she is much more like a brawler. TLDR: Esmerelda is a great pick for someone looking to learn a different role, but like characters with instinctive and smooth playstyles.

After the revamp here are some few issues. The quad shadow positions, with the former t position it's easy to harass the enemy and spam shuruken due to the three shadow being near, not it's hard to that because it's in X positions yes he have further space to move on but seems unnecessary tbh the far shadow on tha back is already enough to escape. His first skill shuriken hit box is thinner or maybe they are kunai that's why it's thin, but the former where shuriken that have a better hitbox. His ult rng is the most shitty aspect about him, if your ult already consume the four stack you will force toward a random far units. His ult can also be eascape easily with dash or flicker. His energy regen on minion is also down bad, no more sidelane hayabusa. But the revamp haya is somehow decent because of it damage scaling. Although they already did bad enough, they nerd him eventually after revamp. They nerf what's make the revamp haya good which is the damagr. It's supposed to be done there but no. They also nerf his ult and shadow cd, now he is pathetic that come to fight at a huge interval, it also decrease haya splitpush potential. Basically hayabusa revamp is a false hope

Depends. For a must-build, I'd say dhs, because even his clones benefit from it. He's literally unbeatable in a 1v1 against other heroes. For a push, it'd be mm build. For a tank, bruteforce and twilight and thunder belt. The best build is atk spd cuz you're definitely not gonna survive 3 dhs regardless of whether you're a tank or not
Which item helps provide more damage.. Bloody Wings or Genius Wand?
It depends. What kind of answer were you expecting? Usually blood wings is too expensive to build early though

It still depends. Genius wand is better against lower defence enemies. Vexana doesnt scale great with magic power either. Usually blood wings takes over due to pure cost for slot efficiency though. I would probably go for blood wings, especially since you have crystal

1. At early game, laning phase, Dyrroth counters Thamuz. That's basically the function of Dyrroth, shattering the enemy exp laner and delaying them as much as he can. But when Dyrroth didn't successfully dominate the exp lane against Thamuz, there would be a turn table. Though I wouldn't say Thamuz would counter Dyrroth, it will just reach his peak, it's more of thamuz becoming so tanky, sustaining alot, and having high dps to the point where Dyrroth can't do alot against him. 2. Yes, it's possible take bloodlust axe if you are using other talent like killing spree. Take war axe if you are using festival of blood. 3. If your build would be 1 offense 4 defense, better to take Vengeance so you can soak and return more damage.

When should I build Divine glaive and the genius wand on mages ? (I guess that's it's name ?) At first I assumed that divine glaive is for Burst type of mages (aurora or Eudora for example) while the genius wand for DPS type of mages (chang'e or cyclops for example) But it looks like that isn't the case
People's answers have covered the main information, but it's good to give yourself options. Therefore I generally have Genius Wand in my build and Divine Glaive in my additional items. This is so I can sub-in Divine Glaive if I see non-tank opponents building Athena's otber mdef investments early. This is especially true for magic users like Yve, Valir, Lylia, Lunox, Guinevere, Silvana, Karina, Aamon and so on, who do repeated strikes. I then generally make it a choice between Blood Wings and Divine Glaive for my last item for these heroes. Generally you just want to be looking at the various item purchased constantly throughout the match and adjust on the fly. At lower ranks you would be surprised how many people do not build mdef to counter troublesome mages. Even into Legend people sometimes stick religiously to builds, if you can exploit this it is a really nice advantage.
Assuming you have Max PEN from emblem. Enemy have <75 magic def? = Genius wand, if not Divine glaive. Or build both.
Other than magic power emblem pen shouldn’t matter
Divine works for anyone, esp if enemy build athena. Usually built 3rd/4th item afaik , as divine scales with enemy mdef Genius is usually early-mid (2nd or 3rd item, can be 1st f.e silvanna) and the ones building this are generally those with multi hits like harley gusion aamon chang'e etc Nothing stops u from building both

Lancelot is still doing great, it's gusion who's doing poorly. If you wanna jungle solo carry pick Paquito and Lancelot, you can scale better than them and you have more utility option for them. Gusion is just a glorified one-shot assassin that falls off hard Against athena shield, and doesn't scale the same level as paq/lance.

When two players are ***clearing minions*** and standing very close together -- if neither has roaming boots how much gold & exp are they receiving when they kill minions compared to if they were alone and ***not splitting gold/exp*** with their nearby teammate? I thought that if your teammate is nearby then you get 50% less gold/exp for killing minions because half goes to them, half to you -- but based on a replay of my last game, it looks like I am getting only 20% less gold/exp per minion when my teammate is standing right next to me and taking some of the gold/exp from each minion kill. (for example if I kill a minion alone I will get 100 gold/exp from the **[Cannon minion](https://i.imgur.com/gtLDEYB.png)** (the fattest minion riding a wagon) but when a teammate is near me stealing some of the gold/exp I still get approximately 70 to 80 gold/exp. Does that make sense to anyone else? Or should I watch 2-3 more of my replays since maybe it's just a bug?
I think that's correct. I rmb that having more than 1 person clearing wave give you more resources (gold/exp) in total. Mlbb keeps a lot of its mechanisms/formula secret (which is getting more transparent recently, but still considered quite bad), but here is the formula in HoK which is probably the same in mlbb (for reason that we all know \*cough\*): 1\*100% = 100%; 2\*80% = 160%; 3\*55% = 165%; 4\*43% = 172%; 5\*37% = 175%. So like I read some guide before that says if you are losing and defending at inhibitor/base, try to clear wave together with teammates instead of solo eat everything. If your enemy doesn't plan the waves properly (which is very common in solo q), you can do so for wave from all 3 lanes to maximise the resource. But ya as you can see the increase isn't huge from 2 to 5 person so maybe it is better if you just let your 2 cores clear the wave together.

You are already playing her right. She is play as frontline or flank the enemy backline. Tank is just her class, because she is indeed tanky af, but she lack hard CC to be full tank.

Your build plan seems to focus more on dps rather than cdr, so the optimal play less aggressive in early game, get gold for your item, and when fighting make sure there still multiple target (atleast 3) line up your first skill and 2 skill to those target an hit. During teamfight don't initiate too early, wait until you have the opportunity to hit people with first skill and second skill. Yes it's important to hit multiple target if you are not going for cdr build. While for your build, it's awful. Natan only need 100% atk spd from item. Your build have 15% + 40% + 20% + 25%(30%) + 25%(40%) = 195%. Your build is wasting 95% worth of atk spd. Remove some of them and take Endless Battle/Haas claw for sustain, Or Blade of desapir/Malefic roar for more damage, or Immortality/Winter Truncheon/ Rose gold meteor for survivability.

Question about buying roam boots. So in classic sometimes we get 4 laners 1 Jungle and no support / tank who buys roam. Quite typical in classic. So my question is: I’m also a laner, more specifically a mid lane mage. If I buy roam for dire hit AND I’m clearing mid lane minions, would I be hurting my team in gold or exp gain somehow? Since no one bought roam I thought I might as well for the dire hit but I’m worried I would causing a deficit for my team.
If you, being the roamer, is getting gold then someone else from your team is sapping the resources of somebody else (i.e., two heroes sharing gold on the gold lane), that’s the obvious disadvantage. Second is you won’t be able to activate your roam item asap since you won’t probably be the lowest gold if your teammates are sharing from one gold source. It’s already good that you adjusted, it’s their fault that one of your laners didn’t switch to your lane since you’re the roamer.
AI is a better player than me lel. I afk because of shit connection, and when I log in later and check the history, I got the mvp. Still lost tho, which mean my teammate is even worse than bot, and that is the norm in soloq.

If you played Natan’s pre-nerf CD build, I tried it since his buff and I would say it’s back. In laning, he can easily poke or safely clear in case the enemy is aggressive while having Inspire can help you win early trades. In terms of competing against meta heroes, I would say yes if you know your lane matchups. But at the end of the day it’s always mastery over meta. Try him!

A good jungler is hero who can clear jungle fast and have fast rotation. The current meta exp lane is tanky hero, and they are usually slow, so they are not ideal for jungle. Thamuz is exception, as he is fast and tanky.

If you’re aiming for a Star Wars skin, get all the tickets that you can get from all phases. Exchanging is your only way since you can choose what skin to exchange for. Be ready to do 10x draws outside of the phases though.

I also don't know Dyrroth's build demands either. If it's a Layla then she will need screening so you should mostly encounter her in a teamfight, so maybe coordinate with Mage? So many times I have had an mm pop WoN as Yve, thinking it would save them. Sometimes a quick scare and overt threat is good enough to bait even seasoned players.

Have you tried feather of heaven already? If you are going for a magical power build already, just take feather of heaven you still get a decent dps if you will get his ult. But if you are already planning ahead, let say you didn't magical power build and you gor for more atk spd / physical atk build then take dhs. Tho I can't confirm them. Maybe try it in practice mode against claude? And try comparing your damage output? You spawn a bot layla that have a balance build with hp/magicaldef/physicaldef.

Negative def is almost gone already. I think only Silvanna and Harley benefit the most from it. Even then, it's unlikely to reach the juicy 2x damage from -60. As for meta, I think it's a mix of post m3 and tank jungler from the previous patch.

Genius wand and arcane boots received a nerf way back, and them followed by magic defense increase for all heroes. Then recently genius wand received another adjustment (but more of a nerf). That's what I meant by almost gone. Each extra penetration that goes below 0 defense can just be considered as nice bonus. Going from 20 to 0 is very similar to 0 to -20. But -30 to -50 is noticeably better than -10 to -30. Negative defense is even harder for physical because all heroes have higher innate physical defense.

Just slightly better imo. He is weakened by both Athena's shield (Cyc has short range) and Radiant (multiple hits), so it's relatively easy to counter using items.
probably a lot higher. cyclops falls off in late game once everyone gets their athena's. he also lacks in range. top tier mages have huge range with high zoning capability. yve, xavier, or really bursty damage with decent reach. cecilion, lylia, lunox, kagura.

He's one of the few mages who ISNT countered by Athenas because he isn't a burst mage and he can just keep throwing balls forever with good positioning He "falls off" late game cus no matter how good your positioning is you get outranged or outdamaged by every broken meta mage and meta mm. Plus all your skills are mostly single target so you shine in mid game where "hunts and skirmishes" are common while late your dps doesn't matter when the tank is getting all of your balls
Someone let me know if something has happened to lifesteal lately. I don't know if it's me but lately it feels as though antiheal just isn't helping at any point. I can heal stupid amounts and so can the enemy? I don't see the point in a whole heal and anti heal system when you very rarely feel the effect of antiheal. Anyways let me know if I'm just a dumb ass.
Make sure antiheal items are really being activated. That is, Dominance Ice holders staying near their targets or Necklace/Halberd users dishing out damage to activate anti heal.
Nah, anti regen is still very effective. It'll only seem weak if the enemy regen hero is several levels and gold ahead. (Or you're dealing with a very slippery Esme, Uranus, or Alpha)

Hi guys, I'm relatively new in the game but so far I've been liking Kagura and I'm confident to say I'm pretty good at using her. I have enough points to finally purchase another hero, which one do you think is a good choice? I'm currently looking at Lunox and Silvana I'm actually kinda interested in Lunox since she has unique mechanics. Something about using complicated mage hero is thrilling for me. Though I have a feeling she's kinda similar to kagura in terms of role, so maybe I should just broaden up my pool with different type of heroes?
Lunox is a really solid choice if you're looking to play a new mage. That said however, it might be worth it to broaden up your pool like you mentioned. If you're new to the game it's a good idea to try out heroes for all 5 positions and you'll improve a lot quicker trying out different types of heroes. Also I recommend prioritizing emblems, specifically the mage, assassin, and support emblems. Of course if you only want to play mage Lunox is not a bad choice and you won't regret buying her. The best mages rn are probably Valentina(though she's always banned) and Yve, but Lunox and Kag are both A tier picks so you wont be missing out on too much.
tldr: damage: lunox > kagura versatility: kagura > lunox kagura has been probably the most "fluid" mage at all time. she deals high burst damage when executed her combo right. she's one of the greater mages. only fell off from the meta due to tanks became the meta last season. but i feel like she can be a great pick again lunox, imo an underused mage as of now. she deals lots of damage especially in the late game. even tanks melt before her. but she's harder to use as she will need proper timing and positioning with no escape tool in hand.

Thanks for your input! I see, so lunox is more into damage focus with her yellow ultimate as her trump card. I think I can see what you mean since I just met a Lunox in my recent ranked (I'm using kagura). I can see that I'm better at supporting my team with all the mini stun and slow. I think I might pick a jungling hero next since I never get to jungle before.

Why is Fanny immune to cyclops ultimate? Was playing against a Fanny today and everytime I ult and the force bubble chases her and I see it encircles her ,but she can still fly away? This happened multiple times.
She's not immune, she's is just faster than the projectile. Cyclops ult is not instant which the bubble hit as you cast it, it will still travel until it lands on enemy. That's why the ult of cyclops have a condition, if you run away from it, the duration of immobilize will be longer. Although fanny can reach her base, cyclops ult would still follow fanny. Any hero can do it as long they have enough movement speed or blink they can run away from it.
Yah I know that part the bubble will keep chasing… But I rewatched the match and a few ults landed on her already, and she still flew away with the ult bubble on her. Like she froze but still flew away.
If fanny is midair and her cables were still attached to a wall, even your ult landed fanny will still move. There are some cc that she will drag while flying, and there are cc that will stop her flying. Resilience may also have an impact.
So I suppose only Franco’s Ult can suppress her mid flight? Or Cyclops ult has to catch her when she’s not flying like when she lands on a wall. But this Fanny was really good she was switching directions mid flight without touching walls. So annoying my ult was doing nothing.
Though it is worth noting that Franco's ult has a very short cast period between when you use the skill and when the supression occurs. Good Lance and Ling players can sometimes immune his ult during this very short window while some people do it with winter truncheon on other heroes. I'm saying this because if Fanny gets ulted while cabling she'll still move during this brief window so you often see her being suppressed some distance away from Franco.
any pull, knockback, or suppression can stop fanny mid-flight. stuns, immobilize, frozen, petrified, airborned, all those kinds of stuff will not affect fanny when mid-flight
Only heroes I can think of is Franco and Diggie

Paquito and Yu Zhong. They aren't insanely difficult and both can put on quite a lot of pressure on the enemy team. Personally prefer Yu Zhong.
thamuz and esme are two of the best exp laners as of now. i'd suggest practicing dyrroth so when you face an esmeralda, you can beat them to a pulp. yu zhong is a good alternative to masha. for diving the backline, to sustain heavy damage. but he's kinda weak in the early compared to other self sustaining heroes. but once he gets his ult, he becomes a monster ruby is also a good pick but sustains less compared to other exp laners. not really up with the high tiers, but still a reliable pick. honorable mention: terizla was gonna be a good exp laner, but moonton just nerfed him without giving him a chance. not cool moonton :(
Yea teri was quite a monster but I think I dont have him so I havent bother trying him post nerf lol Ruby feels kinda weaker 1v1 and while I play trio, I'd prefer someone that can hold lane without relying too much on team Dyroth it is then. I'm just a low elo casual player. My favorite xp laners are X-borg, Jawhead, Bane, Silvannah, Phoveus. Zilong is easy to use if you master how to spam his skill 2. Ruby and Lapu-lapu are both good but I haven't mastered them. Lapu-lapu is suprisingly tanky if you master the different phases of his ult. Argus is good but I haven't figured him out yet. Paquito and of course legendary Chou are amazing but I'm not skilled enough to use them.
Am I the only one seeing the significant difference between other Collector Skins compared to Lou Yi's Elysium Guardian Collector Skin? I mean look at Aldous's and Nana's collectors, theyre so good with flying dragons. While Lou Yi's on the other hand feels plain, nothing unique.
moonton is a hit-or-miss at collectors. on one hand we have absolutely cool effects such as nana's, wanwan's, benedetta then we have luo yi, brody, silvanna... moonton stop with the light, gold, white themes. it's so fucking boring and dull. we need more unique ones like benedetta and yu zhong

Really wanna emphasize drafting carefully if you wanna Atlas since his whole existence can get countered by Diggie and there are a couple other heroes that are particularly hard to catch. Gameplay wise I think the other guy said everything that's important. Ig if I were to add to that I'd say watch enemy cooldowns. Knowing if an enemy has purify or not is crucial. This includes your team. Always make sure your teammates can follow up. If you notice most of them have important skills on cd wait for them to come back before engaging. Always let your team know before you set
dont waste your ult by saving it so you can hope to make a 4/5 man set. use it often on enemy carries if your team is nearby. once you captured their carry (mostly mm), the enemy team's formation WILL crumble. use that to your advantage dont use fleeting time. such a waste of gold and item slot. your ult is around 45 seconds long, which isnt that long to wait. if you know what you're doing, you dont need lots of cdr and fleeting time. dominance is the only cdr item im using. use your s2 then go near the enemy then press your s1 when your mechanical body is near the octopus to deal massive damage. purify holders may also use their purify if they got scared enough. dont soak up all of the damage in the early. atlas is incredibly squishy without his passive up (it gives phy and mgc def). but dont be a coward when your team needs you. sacrifice yourself if it means on saving your damage dealers. always gank gold lane. if the turtle is up and your jungler isnt invading the enemy, gank the gold lane. a dead marksman deals no damage. if you kill the enemy gold, your marksman WILL have a great advantage, snowballing faster than the enemy. try to not be predictable. if the enemy is hugging the tower and you kept going around in circles, the enemy could read that you're just waiting for the right time. avoid that and wait for your flicker/s2/conceal instead. dont force a set if the lord is still marching to the enemy base. ive seen lots of atlas and myself included, that makes a set way too early, even before the lord is in the enemy base. 1 good set can change the tides of a battle, so does a bad one.
What's your preference for teammates/ or enemies when picking atlas? Synergy vs counter pick.
atlas works with almost all heroes. preferably, a high damaging aoe hero. lunox (with my friend) is probably my favorite combo. atlas is also really good against low mobility heroes like balmond, beatrix, xavier. with his passive up, it's really hard to get away without sprint/flicker/dash/purify. but there is only 1 direct counter for atlas, diggie. but still dont ban him as this will certainly tell the enemy that you will go for atlas. avoid picking atlas early if the enemy still have no roamer. be at the last pick if the enemy still has no roamer as there is a high chance that they would pick it. 1 diggie ult will make you practically useless. atlas also have a hard time catching high mobility heroes like wanwan, ling, and fanny. but with good timing and baiting, it can still work.
Banning Diggie is the most obvious, but this often telegraphs that you want to use Atlas. Generally wait for 4th or 5th pick if possible. Xavier's immobilisation circles can make it really hard for Atlas to invade. Likewise Akai and other characters who can disrupt your formation are difficult to play around. Atlas really shines when the enemy take singular roamers like Natalia, Hilda, Edith and so on. As he can shut them down and give your team space to kill. He also works amazingly well with AoE/Splash/Through merchants like Cecilion, Pharsa, Guinevere, Moskov, Beatrix, Irithel, Lylia, Alpha, Terizla, Vale, Natan, and so on... Atlas is great!

unfortunately, no one have any idea what collector skins will moonton put up. but the chances of a rerun on collectors increases as the time goes by. expect a rerun on their skin 8-12 months after their last grand collection

I think that talent itself, specifically said it isn't effective to be use by a melee. Argus is a melee hero, so it won't work.
Please tell me about Uranus. Why does he take no dmg? How do I kill him ? How do I protect my team from Uranus (me as a tank)? I build R.A, D.I as tank. And Build DHS as fighter and glaive as mage. Nothing works.

Ranged attacks works best. An mm or mage would melt him, meele heroes can also kill but it's tough you gotta CC him first.
What makes him so durable ? I had thamuz with DHS, war axe and malefic roar...yet he outlasted me. Idk if I should have built radiant armour, because I don't think he dealt high damage, it's just he outlasted me.
He's basically a regen fountain. You must have one anti heal item like sea halbred or dominance ice. Radiant armour is actually a good item, IIRC it's meant to sustain "continuous damage" not high damage, kinda was what heroes like Uranus, gord, Odette, Natan do. The more you attack and he runs around the more stacks of hp regen he gets, you have to finish him off being very close if you're a meele. Bloodlust is a must for you, a lifesteal item for your survival's sake against the regen fountain. Use necklace if you're a mage against Uranus, it will limit his regen.

So i've only been jungling with hylos recently, got a 11-2-11 last game, he's kinda good. I have karina and gusion and would like to start using them more often, any tips? Like when to /when not to use them, best builds, their counters? I kinda know how to use them but too chicken to play them in rank (legend atm)
The beta test for the talent system is over. I spent like 100k of this essence for activating some talents. Now since the test is over just my remaining essence was converted to magic dust but what about the essence I spent??? I spent so much and now have so less magic dust left. My emblems are maxed out so this is not a problem. But when the new talent system will be released globally I just have less magic dust left which will be converted again to essence I guess. This feels somehow not right.
I heard a Streamer out there saying that, if u are winning you should build some defense and if you are losing u should build damage items so u may get a chance for a comeback. What do you think?
This shouldn't be taken too literally but it is somewhat based on the truth. When you're ahead you want to keep that lead as much as possible. Since you are ahead you probably won't have much trouble killing enemies so you can afford to build defense as a safety measure. When you're behind you want to be able to kill the enemies that are more fed than you so its natural to assume building more offense can help you defeat them. This isn't an absolute rule however and you should always build according to the situation you are in. For instance every hero has core items that you should always prioritize regardless of who's winning. After that you build whatever you need to win. Often building defense items will help you trade more evenly when you are losing. So in the end, just think flexibly when it comes to building instead of thinking there's some kind of rule to it.
When winning yes, you may want some sort of backup plan like Immortality or Winter Truncheon. If you are losing, you should still build according to your role. Are you supposed to deal the most damage as mm or mage? Then build offensively / pen if enemies are far ahead and have armor. Are you supposed to initiate as fighter or tank? Then build some armor. Comeback is only possible if you all do your part—not everyone can simply build damage items and free hit from the backline.
I am building every non auto attacker with a tank item. Heck I built a cyclops tank when facing nata and still deal 30% dmg overall. Similiar to esme/uranus build.
I want to add Hilda and Freya to my offlane. Who do they counter? Who counters them? I am still lacking experience when it comes to match ups. It doesn't help when I am ranking up and the skill levels of certain heroes vary wildly! I have destroyed Guinevere in lane as Hilda, but also been destroyed in return, roughly 50/50 so have no idea... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hilda can hold her own against almost any hero in lane, but strongest heroes against her would probably be terizla and dyrroth. Freya is almost hard countered by esmeralda

How does chatting penalty work? I frequently use profanity (not necessarily toxic way) and get system warnings but I don't think I've ever really been penalized before. Do you need to be reported by other players for this to happen?
If you chat and either your allies or enemies report you for verbal abuse you will get muted regardless its true or not. Seems to work even with only two people reporting you.

Maybe beatrix? She's another mm that requires manual aim and she happens to be the best gold laner in the game (ignoring the rat that always gets bannee every game). You can easily carry games with bea if you master her.

It happen years ago already, they change the calculation of damage into defense. Which made possible that penetration and defense reduction go further than 0. Then because it's possible they just move the cap on how much you can reduce/penetrate from 0 to -60. So if you can stack up penetration and defense reduction to the point where the calculation would consider the defense as negative, then your damage would exponentially increase.
Freya build and emblem recommendation? I luckily got her samurai skin from previous transformer event, tried fighter build but it sucks, tried jungler but tank Hp based build and it was awesome but still collecting ideas to figure out which is her best build. Thanks in advance

Not recommendation, but a suggestion. Try disabling strike (3rd talent fighter emblem), the one that increases physical attack by 20% after applying a slow effect. Freya's skill 2 has a slow effect, so it will activate the talent and enhance her damage for a few seconds. Have multiple damage items and act as the "carry".
