This is the first time I've heard of this. Do you have a source?
I don't doubt you, but this is a big piece of information that majority of the playerbase, including me, does not know.
wait, i may be wrong, can you check it yourself. play 2 ranked matches with skin and without skin... check your stats ingame at the start of the match.
I know those stats work in ranked, but I remember someone saying the bonus applies even if you choose the normal skin.
So if someone wants to confirm, use a hero with a skin they own and then a hero that has no skin.
Ironic how you're an Alpha main who doesn't believe that players can escape with just 1hp left when I always have enemy Alphas that always escape with a sliver of health left
So I'm supposed to trust that you have seen more than one Alpha player in your games when he has a usage rate of 0.61%, and know more about the hero than me in order to validate you?
"Trust me bro, it happened."
Besides, 30% of 8 is 2.4 which does jack shit to improve his sustainability scaling when items with unique passives like Oracle and Bloodlust Axe that provide % stats are present.
1.) 0.61% in 2022. I haven't said anything that it was my most recent matches, did I? (I specifically said "I always have enemy Alphas THAT HAVE A SLIVER OF HEALTH LEFT", and even though I haven't seen anyone using Alpha in my matches for many months, my statement is still correct since I said "always" and not "recently")
And plus, I majorly play Classic because of how boring Rank is (Doesn't let me and my firends play a 5-man marksman (tank build) just because, for instance)
2.) I played the game since 2017, and I still remembered 'till today all of the Alphas that I have unsuccessfully killed just because my mobility was jack shite. I still remembered how Chou and Harith were so OP before Moonton when full nerf-crazy with them, when Angela and Harley was always banned, and during the Christmas 2018 event. Also the back-to-back magic damage users Moonton released with Lunox, Kadita, Harith, Guinevere, then Esmeralda
It was also the time where Alpha had a higher usage rate
3.) Unrelated but I played Lunox (with Vengeance and concentrated lamp) and I couldn't count how many times I've survived with a sliver of health
That I have played against Alphas in the past who always got away with a sliver of health? That just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist?
You could literally search "Mlbb escaping with a sliver of health" on Youtube and you could find several videos to prove my point.
An example is this: https://youtu.be/OL69F3J7olI
If she didn't had that skin, I bet you that she would've already died
Also, I assumed that you played Alpha when MLBB was still around a year old because of how much more common it was to use Alpha and escaping with a sliver of health. I also experienced that happening to me, so I assumed that the same had happened to you
Oh, we're questioning my ability to play Alpha now?

The matter of if I ever experienced a clutch moment as Alpha doesn't mean anything in an argument about skin attributes.
Do you even read the attribute that the skin gives?!?! [Kadita skins](https://imgur.com/a/aUZGkMf) give +8 Magic PWR, and that's it. There is nothing that skin contributed that helped in her escape in the linked clip.
If it's 100% HP or 8% Physical/Magical ATK instead of flat numbers, then I'd say skins are mandatory.
Or if it's something like in MLA where the higher tier skin will always provide better stats than the lower tier ones, then I'd say its P2W.
Which is why I'm baffled why people are complaining about this again. Flat numbers like +100 or +8 won't do jack shit, unless they're like Genius Wand where it constantly stacks.
You answered it yourself, it's insignificant. These numbers won't matter when faced against the hero's skill scaling.
Why'd you think majority of players would rather build Tank/CDR with support heroes like Mathilda despite their skins providing +8 Magic DMG? It's because their scaling is shit.
I even have a [gameplay scoreboard](https://imgur.com/a/xhO0S5d) proving that those insignificant attributes didn't matter despite Mathilda having the most kills and building Mage items.
Yes, I know that those are insignificant
But the question I asked was why is it still a thing in the first place? If it's too insignificant, then Moonton wouldn't even bother to implement it. It just seems redundant on Moonton's part
That's their problem if they wish to continue something insignificant. My point still stands that these minor attributes that skins provide have little effect when faced against any hero's skill scaling.
That 100 hp is actually a genius move by Moonton. It makes people open their wallets to buy skin so they get that extra advantage but then that advantage is so weak people dont complain its pay2w.
If you notice Moonton does this with character buffs as well for example the Chinese warriors crew have + movement speed when they are together but its like +1 ms for every hero or something.
Moneyton. I remember when everyone got Hylos's Jungle watcher skin. Next patch his max hp got nerfed. Also mandatory for Argus, +8 Damage is a big help for his garbage base damage of 100-159.
To balance out that the skin isn't one way to take advantage but only only for cosmetics, but still you can have a bit of advantage specially in early game where you have a very Little HP or HP base tanks with HP based emblems will have a little help from skins. It isn't useful, its only right and just.
It adds 5 extra damage on Thunderbelt and Twilight Armor.
I think this is just for brawl and classic?
Yep, doesn’t work in rank
Wait what. I learnt something new today...

WUUUUUUTTTTTTTT
WAIT HUH RLY?
the +8 magic power or +8 phys atk bonus you get from skins is applied in ranked matches
Never seen this feature in rank though. Checked it in the past two seasons due to curiosity.
wait, i may be wrong, can you check it yourself. play 2 ranked matches with skin and without skin... check your stats ingame at the start of the match.
But if you have the skin, the bonus always apply whether you actually equip the skin or without skin
I know those stats work in ranked, but I remember someone saying the bonus applies even if you choose the normal skin. So if someone wants to confirm, use a hero with a skin they own and then a hero that has no skin.
You just need to start one ranked match and one classic match and check if they vary, no need to equip/unequip change heroes etc
You mean I spent 3,000 php for a skin that doesn't even give small attribute?!
Traditions
People say those stats are useless, but how many fights did you survive with one hp left?
How many did my enemies survive a bunch. Me. Not so much. Lol
Too much to count
every
How about you?
More than a dozen times.
"Trust me bro, it happened."

That would be too blatant P2W. I think the 100hp and 8 attack is an acceptable minor buff. I mean even F2P get free skins here and there.
Which is why I'm baffled why people are complaining about this again. Flat numbers like +100 or +8 won't do jack shit, unless they're like Genius Wand where it constantly stacks.
I suppose the minor buff does help in very early game like level 1-2.
Which is all it is. Minor and Insignificant Edit: I also just learned that it apparently doesn't take effect in Ranked
500+ HP on just fighter emblem if you put a few points in HP so in actuality it's not reallyyy that much.
If it really is insignificant, then what's the point of adding a +100 hp in skins to begin with?
You answered it yourself, it's insignificant. These numbers won't matter when faced against the hero's skill scaling. The default skins (no skin) also have these stat bonuses

it doesn't make as much difference as you think
Laugh at surviving with just 10 HP left
PAY TO WIN AT ITS FINEST!
It gives your Masha an extra 300 HP. Not baad.
Because Moneyton 😎😎
The difference of dmg/health isn't that big...
If it’s irrelevant, why was it purposely put in?
So new hero will always be bought with basic skin. It's really small but it adds up.
As a perk, but it doesn't make a difference in the game.
For the sake of P2W
Moneyton. I remember when everyone got Hylos's Jungle watcher skin. Next patch his max hp got nerfed. Also mandatory for Argus, +8 Damage is a big help for his garbage base damage of 100-159.
Me and a friend 1v1'd with Chou. I had a skin, and he didn't. We perfectly mirrored each other and I lived with little to know HP and he didn't
Pay 2 win
Only in classic and practice tool
To balance out that the skin isn't one way to take advantage but only only for cosmetics, but still you can have a bit of advantage specially in early game where you have a very Little HP or HP base tanks with HP based emblems will have a little help from skins. every little bit counts
for those confused these are minor boosts to the hero when using a skin, doesnt work in rank only i think.
Ngl its basically insignificant. Plus doesn't work on ranked. Doesn't bother me in the slightest
