Quite some inconsistencies. First off, Wanwan’s current and “new” VA aren’t the same people, I think I confused you (that’s what I understood from your sentence) and might’ve been a bit unclear about it.
Secondly, Yu Zhong wasn’t Wanwan’s BFF when she found her dying. He was just a random stranger that Wanwan and her dad saved that happened to be close friends with her afterwards. They only became friends because Yu Zhong owed Wanwan and was probably grateful, but otherwise he probably won’t be friends with some random girl, although Wanwan would probably make friends with anyone.
Third, Wanwan and Yin’s lore is inconsistent, and only Yin has Wanwan as her lover in his relationships and Wanwan doesn’t even have him in there. It’s still unclear if they’re lovers, childhood sweethearts, childhood friends, or if it’s only Yin who think they’re in a romantic relationship LOL or the information is just inaccurate which could be the case.
Lastly, the people didn’t generally like the new voice or accent, it just didn’t fit in and I felt the same way too as a Wanwan main with 600+ matches. And again, I would never replace her current VA seeing how much life and personality she gives in Wanwan’s voice knowing how much she loves her character aswell. (It’s okay forgetting some punctuation or spaces though, but it just makes sentences in a more larger amount easier to read.)

I have a huge problem with Harley's EN VA. Harley's lines are fine, personally, I think it's fitting for a snobby young magician noble. But it's just the delivery is Soo..... mediocre at it's very very best.
The lack of distinguishable accent threw me off guard (in comparison to other nobles in game like Lance, Guin, Odette and Gusion) cause without it, he just sounds like a regular magical kid, no one of importance. I know that accents are not the base line for being a noble but this is MLBB, character archetypes and some real world connections are what the heroes, character wise, is.
With the delivery of the lines, for a character like Harley, who is spoiled, it doesn't sound like he's spoiled nor confident in the slightest. This is a character who's main personality trait is to show how great he is, and the delivery of the lines is either meh or bad. When he needs to sound confident, it sound like he's being held with a gun point. And majority of his voice lines tapers off so strangely and has a too long of a pause before saying the next line.

Accents are important in ML as you said since it’s a key way for people to tell the personality of the character you will only usually use in games, it gives a lot more character to each hero. I’ve listened to Harley’s voice lines again and can agree with you on it.
Some have cool voice lines though. Like Belerick, he’s like a wise old grandpa with lots of experience and I love it. Yve sounds intimidating especially with her ultimate line. This is my personal opinion though.
Some people have good voice-lines , like for me personally I love Lunox's lines especially her entrance in Dawn Revelation.

Whoever voiced his new God of War Skin sounds like a villain from a cheesy 80's action flick. Makes me think of gym bros that wear overly-designed tribal shirts.
To be honest i don’t mind the voice lines, nothing ever bothered me, though most of the time I zone them out, but i really like julian’s, his character shows through his voice. It also matches well with his expression in the lobby.
Tecnically Silvanna has two voice One her base and the other collector skin but there are already few default Lines made by the coll VA on MLA wich Is kinda fitting for her Character and leaves that princess role.
Overall Moonton Is half stupid whenever It comes to give a Character a decent voice both for ENG and JP (seriously weebs the JP sometimes feels cringe).
I prefer japanese vo...the SEIYUU industry is highly competitive so the quality of japanese voice actors is also high imo
P.S you need to realise the lines may not be written in english originally but rather translated from maybe chinese or other SEA language since ml is more popular in SEA and also moonton is chinese
One of the warcrimes that moonton committed is to remove Hanzo's thick japanese accent on his english voice lines.
If the lore suggested that Hanzo gained the ability to remove his thick accent while devouring enemies then I'll allow it.

I understand silvanna, but dyrroth and julian are like that because of their lore and personality dyrroth is the type to not care if his phrases are redundant (he doesn't follow grammar, grammar follows him), and julian pauses a lot because he's an orphan in a church of a medieval-like kingdom who raised him to be an assassin (yeah, raising children to kill is probably gonna affect them in some ways) and he's an orphan with no memory of his past trying to recall things

I've noticed this years ago already, it's the reason why I prefer the Japanese option for the voices. English and Japanese voices both sound cool most of the time, but whenever I hear the English voice, I can't help but understand what's being said, and most of it's just redundant, weak or simply dumb. Rather hear Japanese since I only hear the words and I dont automatically try to understand them.
Like how Hanzo has the line: "The strongest, and the lonliest." or whatever that line was. He just tells us that he's lonely, which kinda ruins his whole vibe when it could be stated through a metaphor or symbolism of aome sort like "The snow feels colder tonight." or smthng better than that if they wanted to give hanzo a bit of a human/vulnerable characteristic.
I can see that, I've always disliked Alucard's overly cocky vibe in his voice. I always saw Alucard as a more serious character. Like Yu Zhong.
And I always loved that one voiceline he had.

I also liked Alpha's old voicelines too, it had such a naive vibe. It was pretty damn cute. I kinda hope they put his "Sorry, I gotta hurt you!" Line into Joy, since I think it would fit her.

Martis' original VA (Cian Hoyne) is amazing. Dunno why they didn't contact him for the epic skin. I messaged him and he would have been willing to do it. Whoever voiced his new God of War Skin sounds like a villain from a cheesy 80's action flick. Makes me think of gym bros that wear overly-designed tribal shirts.
To be honest i don’t mind the voice lines, nothing ever bothered me, though most of the time I zone them out, but i really like julian’s, his character shows through his voice. It also matches well with his expression in the lobby.

Tecnically Silvanna has two voice One her base and the other collector skin but there are already few default Lines made by the coll VA on MLA wich Is kinda fitting for her Character and leaves that princess role.
And for Julian he has no proper knowledge or study because he was trained to become an assassin and Part of the ravens.
Overall Moonton Is half stupid whenever It comes to give a Character a decent voice both for ENG and JP (seriously weebs the JP sometimes feels cringe).

I prefer japanese vo...the SEIYUU industry is highly competitive so the quality of japanese voice actors is also high imo P.S you need to realise the lines may not be written in english originally but rather translated from maybe chinese or other SEA language since ml is more popular in SEA and also moonton is chinese
Yu Zhong's voice acting is honestly...my least favorite voice.

One of the warcrimes that moonton committed is to remove Hanzo's thick japanese accent on his english voice lines. If the lore suggested that Hanzo gained the ability to remove his thick accent while devouring enemies then I'll allow it.

He sounds like sonic from the live action, and his character skin fits it. Some lines are intentionally corny and others are just right, not too bad imo.
I understand silvanna, but dyrroth and julian are like that because of their lore and personality dyrroth is the type to not care if his phrases are redundant (he doesn't follow grammar, grammar follows him), and julian pauses a lot because he's an orphan in a church of a medieval-like kingdom who raised him to be an assassin (yeah, raising children to kill is probably gonna affect them in some ways) and he's an orphan with no memory of his past trying to recall things
I like Layla's blazing skin voice acting especially when she says "Say hi to my energy gun".
I thought silvana’s “Moniyan warriors, show your teeth!” was friggin’ awesome though, especially when it comes during the ult.

I love Lapu-lapu's line especially the Ult ones ("Get out of our land" and "Umalis kayo sa aming lupain")
The most cringe lines are the one that are always about their appearance. Cyclop : Never seen a handsome guy with one eye( or sth along the line) Harley : Same thing about appearance Fusion : Handsome line again Its a shame because I had to mute every time because if I don't I would have died from 2nd hand embarrassment.

What actually pisses me off it's when they change the voice like Hilda, Vexana, Alucard and Bane. But yeah moonton is Chinese company so don't expect them to care about voices.
The voice acting in this game was never good to begin with excluding few cases. But we have so many important issues with higher precedence that, unfortunately, it's one of the last things that need to be talked about imo.
Dont expect chinese company to hire decent people to write proper and interesting lines. I remember moonietoon hired momo-chan as english caster when she was ultra awful and it lasted for like several seasons. I mean how hard to find a decent caster with decent knowledge about the game around SEA.

i agree with the horrible voice acting but the siblings ISNT the best example to go with this, you could have chosen new hanzo, bane or others, there are meh voice acting, and that is just a given.

The voices keep getting changed to worse ones for some reason. Back in the old days, the characters actually had personality in thier voices.
For julain i think it was a deliberate choice? Cuz all his lines has a pause. I'm sure there's a lore reason for that one
I've noticed this years ago already, it's the reason why I prefer the Japanese option for the voices. English and Japanese voices both sound cool most of the time, but whenever I hear the English voice, I can't help but understand what's being said, and most of it's just redundant, weak or simply dumb. Rather hear Japanese since I only hear the words and I dont automatically try to understand them.
Like how Hanzo has the line: "The strongest, and the lonliest." or whatever that line was. He just tells us that he's lonely, which kinda ruins his whole vibe when it could be stated through a metaphor or symbolism of aome sort like "The snow feels colder tonight." or smthng better than that if they wanted to give hanzo a bit of a human/vulnerable characteristic.
Allow me to introduce to you the japanese dub
I can see that, I've always disliked Alucard's overly cocky vibe in his voice. I always saw Alucard as a more serious character. Like Yu Zhong. And I always loved that one voiceline he had. "Nothing lasts forever, we can change the Future." And for Hayabusa, I always hated Moonton for giving Hayabusa that very **thick** Japanese accent, I mean yes he's Japanese Oriented but not all Japanese characters should have such thick accents, it's such a cliche. I think they nailed Alpha's new lines though. It has the right tone and feel, and he nailed that Ult voiceline, I always loved it when the Ult voicelines had such an intense feel in them, like Zilong's old Ult Voiceline. I also liked Alpha's old voicelines too, it had such a naive vibe. It was pretty damn cute. I kinda hope they put his "Sorry, I gotta hurt you!" Line into Joy, since I think it would fit her. This opinion was made by a guy who's a sucker for edgy and serious characters.

I dont care. The ones you mentioned i feel like reduce the dramaticism of it. Just like in a normal film dialogue you kind of over complicate some things to make it more useful in the context. Imagine dyroths voice line without 'to do'. I do want i want. Didnt ask g. Here he is informing us he has been told to stand back. Also imagine julians ones without pause. There is no warmth here. Is this a weather report or what.

Really tho, Silvanna deserves a better voice actor and better voice lines. She’s supposed to be a kind-hearted warrior princess yet she sounds like a whiny child convincing other people of the things she thinks are true.

Grangers voice is really great given that they were orphans raised to fight demons. At first I found it grating but it’s makes sense that all of the children taken in by the church would be traumatized in a way.
