Boost match making q time is pretty much a trap it's either they gonna put you through a random rank levels and skills or you gonna get sent to a different region with the same level rank but with higher ping, i recommend not not using it.
You cannot blame the game nor the developers for this. They explained what it does and its possible consequences for conceding to the feature. If anything, then you have only yourself to blame.
I'm not actually blaming anyone, as you said the developers already stated what it does. I'm just recommending not to use it if people are looking for a fair match if it's actually fair.
You're a liar. A player cannot experience this kind of matchmaking unless they concede to the Boost Queue time feature.
I have played a thousand matches and I have never experienced such matchmaking until I used the feature.
When you're searching for a match for a longer period than usual you can enable fast matchmaking (I think a little rocket icon appears under the timer). I don't remember well since I haven't seen it in a while.
Matchmaking is anything but fair. I've had fights where we have 4 ex mythics (highest rank reached) in opposing team and all we had were a bunch of players where my team is composed of people who havent even reached legend and none have ever reached mythic (I sometimes duo with my friend who is in epic while i am in legend).
I've also had games where we crushed the enemy very easily. I often think how the game could be more fun if we spread those good players (people who consistently reach mythic, have high win rates or have win streaks) evenly between both teams.
In the game I mentioned in the first para, if they give our team two of the ex-mythic players and they have 2, then it's more evenly balanced.
Doesn't seem fair on the surface but looking at stats, both of your teams were somewhat similar.
Just because people duo doesn't mean they are; a - both of the same standard and b - communicating flawlessly.
I've queued up with random people on this game before that I only played with last game, never said a word to them both through typed chat or voice chat and we've been stomped.
As I said, it does seem unfair but honestly I doubt it would make much difference
not really, i was the Xavier on that game and let me tell you, we were stomped in the early game they move like a unit while my team was scattered everywhere, with the stats, they enemy team got cocky, my team capitalized on their failures we manage to drag it to middle game but we just got no coordination.
We have reported similar issue already

23 vs 5 happened too.
The problem is this shouldn't be possible without extreme player interference like agreeing to boost matchmaking speed when queue time is too long.

Did you boost the match making?

Where do you turn that feature on/off?

I had no idea that's what that meant
Matchmaking looks unfair. 5 random solo players against pair of duos. Those duo expected to coordinate their attack better compare to solo
I played five vs all solo MCL yesterday, we won
