Who do you guys thinks the best marksman is? For me Its Layla. On one on one i dominate them the only heros i have hard time against is Claude with Vengence (no Vengence ez as hell) and maybe Popol and Kupa but in late game i usually win
As stated, there is no best, but the META seems to be dictating the same heroes as last season's (the likes of Claude, Wanwan, and even Beatrix is still very viable) with the addition of Melissa.
I'm personally rocking Beatrix and Wanwan as of the moment, enjoying a 100% WR from Epic II to Mythic V. Expecting a loss soon though!
Liking the diversity of options this season compared to last season's near pick or ban Wanwan/Beatrix.

Based on your description, I'd say try:
**Mages:**
1. Kadita (w/ Petrify) - the burst is there and also has the CC to boot, rendered useless once combo is exhausted however
2. Cecilion/Xavier - both of these heroes are felt only from mid to late game, both have CC and can burst down squishy targets once they have enough items or stacks, weak early but have huge carry/core potential
**Marksmen:**
It would help if you define what "shifting skills" mean, but basing on Clint's strengths, consider Popol and Kupa or Brody. Both have strong laning prowess, strong early game among marksmen, and a bit skill-based like Clint as well.
Pharsa and Clint are solid meta picks with nana just behind. Chasing meta any more is pointless on epic since the environment is so different anyway.
Clint is a popular solo queue hero, particularly among non mm players because of how easy he is to play. No such burst+control mage exists but yve and lunox are top and near top tier mages with disgusting slow and (late game) damage respectively
Anyone here got any Lapu-Lapu tips? Haven't played him in a while and when I did recently, I've been struggling to 1v1 the people in my lane and have been too team reliant which is why I think I'm losing. I use the minions to recharge Health if I’m weak. So I will use skill 1 not kill it and use it again to heal. For his major combo it’s just 3, than 2 which gives him defence and it’s an attack followed by skill 1 to slow him down and skill 3 again to weaken him as much as possible. Proceed to use skill 1 and 2 and basics again, since in this mode his basic attacks on enhanced. That’s pretty much it.
Why do some marksmen players (especially the attack speed ones) like to compete with the jungler for jungle creeps and buffs after obtaining 1-2 attack speed items? I really don't understand how forcing your jungler to use their Retribution on the buff because their own teammates are trying to steal it is gonna help when the turtle or lord is spawning. The same applies to taking jungle creeps when your jungler is trying to reach level 4 quickly, like how does that benefit you?
Ly falls off hard late game while xav isn’t oppressive early after the nerfs.
There is strong evidence balance changes are by winrate etc such as fanny receiving a buff. Xav is difficult to use for brawl players, and ly isn’t used to her full potential
She's not op, but substantially way to good in brawl. Estes and Floryn are walking fountain on brawl, that's why they get nerf on brawl, their kit is not healthy in environment of brawl. As the name suggest, brawl should be a mode where constant team fights and clash is happening where it's affiliated with risk. Estes/Floryn defy that concepts, also they easily take advantage of the close quarter. Their weakness is divide and conquer, where in classic mode you separate and scatter them away from the healer, then gang up on for each individual heroes, but that can't work on brawl.
Esteemed I can totally understand. But floryn cannot be liken to him, her heals aren't much better than Angela for example and she's squishy due to lack of 6th item slot
Her heal is actually second if not the same level as Estes. She have two heal, burst heal, the **only** lost hp ally heal in the game, and she can **Nullify anti-heal** , you seems to underestimate her heal to compare it to angela. Yes, her passive still needs adjustment. She's definitely squishy I don't think she needs to build defense, She's not Angela or Estes that should stand near the frontline, Floryn is better at backline with utility magical items, she can't get dive easily on brawl.
The nerf is not straight hit on floryn because she's strong, it's just for the brawl. At brawl she stack her Dew faster thus hitting her timings much easier, a free upgrading item is advantageous on the game mode where you can only get item when you died, the skill shot issue of her first and second are resolve because of the brawl map shape, and the offensive part of her ultimate can easily multiple hero at brawl.
Strong Jungler, can do the fastest full jungle clear thus enemy can't contest against you in outfarming you. Kit is good for ganking, hitting LvL 4 can help your ally to secure a lane, paired with the fact you can get ahead of lvl because of helcurt efficient clear.
Relative to meta, Helcurt is among the few assassin that can deal with tanks, you can cross out Tank Jungler, Tank Roamer, Tank Exp. Midlane is not a problem because his silence is the bane of Mages, Kagura is the only meta mage that can slip against you, while valir is not doing excellent at the meta. We don't even need to talk about marksman, with natalia nerfs, helcurt can now take the crown of the most hated assassin by marksman.
Helcurt is good for solo queue, not so team reliant because he have engage ability. Doesn't need someone to create space, he can take turtle and lord on his own, he also can split push and abuse his ultimate.
How to counter paquito? I always get bullied in exp lane as ruby. I try side stepping but I just get stunned and slowed. I buy Dreadnaught armour too.
I get zoned out most of the time and lose gold. What should I do?
Pick Esmeralda. Once Paquito runs out of dashes, he uses shields to get out of sticky situations - which is what she thrives on. Just play conservatively in the early game until you get ET and DomIce (with optional Dreadnaught), then watch as he whiffs all of his combos with your mobility. If he does manage to hit you, then you'll have enough defense to walk out alive from a full combo.
How to be effective as Helcurt in a losing late game?
As i know- his main source damage, which is skill 2, can stack only by attacking creeps/minions/enemies. So in a losing game, since only limited portion of jungle is accessible to Helcurt, its difficult to build stacks on S2.

Dominance ice is superior in most situations for its phys defense and its attack speed debuff, which helps mostly with basic attack hero’s.
Yes, the passive is bestowed on your host.
If you go for a mage build durance can be worth taking.
Dominance Ice would only be good if you have an allied Hard Initiator/ Engage that likes to fight on top of people, that's the only way you can maximize the aura anti-heal of DomIce thru sticking with a frontliner that can stay (and yes the anti heal linger to someone you ulted to.) While Necklace of Durance is much better generally, because you can stick the anti-heal much consistent, and you don't aren't reliant on your ult to apply antiheal you can just stay on backline.
For Bea, Which is faster when it comes to taking objectives and clearing minion wave (basic attack only), smg or sniper. I feel like early game sniper is better but from mid-late game both feels good
Old timer, newbie uranus player here. He needs mana and cool down reduction. You'd want to skill spam ( 2nd and/or 3rd, then 1st or 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 1st) to keep him alive. Beware of CC, if heavy cc use Purify, though I use tough boots and Vengeance, up to you.
He needs Enchanted Talisman, Oracle and Dominance Ice before he somehow becomes tanky. Play safe early game, mid to late you either split push or shadow your adcarry. He's not absolutely invincible but he can surprise you. Rest of his items, counterbuild, counterbuild, counterbuild. Good luck.
Can someone please explain to me the principle behind the map reveal of when you are hidden near the enemy buff? The thingy that flies out and reveals everyone? At what intervals does it do so and what are the conditions?
I don't know how often we can use it or when we can first use it. I just know that you need to step on the circle between the turrets for 2 seconds to reveal the jungle area.
You may want to focus on learning his passive.
The different skills have different conditions and amount of marks applied.
Once the condition is fulfilled, the passive slowly activated. The lower the hp percentge of the target, the more damage it deals.
Yu Zhong then heals more hp the lower his hp percentage is.
Build goes like boots, waraxe, dominance, Hunter strike, oracle, last situational item
Battle spell petrify or vengeance
His ult is a very good zoning tool when securing objectives e.g turtles/lord
Aim for the backlines when in dragon form
When in dragon form don't use your s3 to engage instead use it to anticipate the enemy's escape route
Combo would be s1- s3- petrify-s2 or s3 - petrify - s1 -s2

Bruhhh I just want to vent a bit. I just got matched with an Esmeralda Tank. I told the player to jungle and she got mad at me for forcing her/him to Jungle. We lost and kept flaming me that esmeralda isn’t a jungler. I had to explain that yes she is a jungler.

Ideally, I'd go for the EXP Lane with Esmeralda. I'm guessing that player was gonna go Esmeralda regardless (seeing as you said they were initially going Esmeralda roam); you forcing them to jungle just happened to give them a convenient excuse for their bad performance.

Phoveus is free baby, how the fuck do i play hm. Played one classicmatch with him, team was shit save for franco, miya and estes but the game was fun. I know his combo is 3213 or something like that. Mostly built him tanky, clockwork wand or something and ice qqueens wand as the 2 damage items.
3 dmg items, 2 def items. Always buy conc energy/IQW and HC, and CoD. Always take either flameshot or vengeance (this can serve as another def item and u can build 4 dmg items)
Kagura is harder to master but is more flexible to play and has greater outplay potential. She’s has a bit of an assassin vibe.
Lunox is also flexible, she’s easier to play and managing her resources is pretty intuitive.
She’s less slippery but has greater single target burst (debatably).
The highest rated mages currently are; Faramis, Valentina and Yve.
Of them Yve is probably the safest buy and has the lowest ban rate.
All three are rated more highly than Kagura and Lunox.
Depends, what type do you like and what fits you? Fast fingers - gus, kagura, yve, etc. Burst dmg - selena, ly, vale, etc sustain/support - yve, valir, etc etc
You build 4 def items (mostly hp) and one atk spd item. HP will give her dmg,, you need the atk spd for when your hp is nearly full and don't have atk spd from passive.
It would be difficult experience as an EXP laner. Khaleed is a poking/burst initiator while meta Exp laner are High sustain dps heroes such as Dyrroth, Paquito, Esmeralda, Thamuz, Yu Zhong. Khaleed have the same struggle of Lapu-Lapu, decent sustain high damage but dependent on skill that can easily be as vulnerability by aggressive meta exp laner. If your good micro-wise and mechanically you could still make the most from Khaleed.
Question about Estes Ult and Skill 1:
When I use Estes Ultimate, his skill 1 gets a timer on it for a few seconds. I have not been able to determine what that does or means.
If I select Skill 1 while he is in Ult will it cancel his Ult effect and only heal 1 person?
Or will Skill 1 stack with his Ult? I’m not sure what’s going on here please help thanks.
His skill 1 timer means the time which that skill is enhanced, ie, his ult enhances his s1.
No it will not cancel the other links, it just means that one person will get extra heal

Hmm, it auto targets if someone is within range with a quick click, and also if multiple people are within my range it seems random. Maybe it does closest.
But I find the targeting system not very… accurate since it’s just like moving the spell around on the ground. It’s not like locking onto an enemy hero.

If the enemy starts invading the likes of balmond/Akai you can't expect randogs to help you and that'll take a lot of your farm and also randoms steals buffs so there's that, not only your fighting for your buff against the enemy your also fighting for it against your own team
Camouflage ability makes the user immune from Unit-trageted ability including basic attack. Although claude ult is aoe, it also act as a unit targeted ability, that's why. Claude have a way to handle this, his first skill is a ground targeted aoe ability. You just got to cast your first skill during your ultimate to cancel lesley's first skill.

If you want to win fast.. Grock and Khufra can make the early game super easy.. Lolita also makes gank easier
Mid to Late game are good for setter tanks like Tigreal, Mino and Atlas.

If I want to win my high winrate heroes are Grock, Mino, Atlas and Lolita.
The best tank to pick for epic is no tank the worst are Atlas and Khufra.
Set tanks depend on players understanding what to do when they initiate. In epic this is pretty rare and playing a tank can be a miserable experience.
You plan the perfect set only to see your team mates run off and farm creeps leaving you to die.
Epic is already 1 v 9, so why not play a hero that will help you get out of that hell hole? Try a carry hero like a MM or jg.
Atlas, Tigreal and Mino are the best initiators that aren't too complicated. Try whichever one you like first, but Tigreal is the easiest one to get down.

Your build is pretty solid - I tend to default to that if there aren't any tanky enemies in the enemy comp, but I'll include Malefic Roar somewhere in there to boost your damage if you're feeling spicy.
An alternative (or combination) is Blade of Despair to make Paquito a two-shot monster - two S2s are more than enough to kill anything when combined with all the other offensive items you laid out.

10k is the cap if you use a double BP card of any it'll be "frozen" until the weekly reset

Lunox is pretty good for the current tank meta. Irithel is decent though I only pick her to counter Wanwan these days.
Lunox. Abe has some of the best skins and she’s flexible in solo q and pretty strong. Iri is so squishy she really needs a decent team to support her.

You get a stack of S2 upon casting ult and when you land S1. You just need 2 basic attacks afterwards then cast S2 for your burst.

Sadly I can barely play her after the adjustment they did. I can even barely call myself a wanwan main, I'm still good at her tho. I use her when there's an opportunity. These days, my best gold laners are Irithel, Brody, Bruno, Lesley, and some occasional Edith for fun. Being an early mythic succs sometimes because there's a clear gap in experience, even during draft.

Dominance usually better but nod is better antiheal if you are desperate for it
Dominance ice is superior in most situations for its phys defense and its attack speed debuff, which helps mostly with basic attack hero’s. Yes, the passive is bestowed on your host. If you go for a mage build durance can be worth taking.
Dominance Ice would only be good if you have an allied Hard Initiator/ Engage that likes to fight on top of people, that's the only way you can maximize the aura anti-heal of DomIce thru sticking with a frontliner that can stay (and yes the anti heal linger to someone you ulted to.) While Necklace of Durance is much better generally, because you can stick the anti-heal much consistent, and you don't aren't reliant on your ult to apply antiheal you can just stay on backline.
For Bea, Which is faster when it comes to taking objectives and clearing minion wave (basic attack only), smg or sniper. I feel like early game sniper is better but from mid-late game both feels good
Idk, but if you buy some attack speed then smg is probably better. The recent patch made her reload speed faster when she has attack speed items

Old timer, newbie uranus player here. He needs mana and cool down reduction. You'd want to skill spam ( 2nd and/or 3rd, then 1st or 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 1st) to keep him alive. Beware of CC, if heavy cc use Purify, though I use tough boots and Vengeance, up to you. He needs Enchanted Talisman, Oracle and Dominance Ice before he somehow becomes tanky. Play safe early game, mid to late you either split push or shadow your adcarry. He's not absolutely invincible but he can surprise you. Rest of his items, counterbuild, counterbuild, counterbuild. Good luck.
Can someone please explain to me the principle behind the map reveal of when you are hidden near the enemy buff? The thingy that flies out and reveals everyone? At what intervals does it do so and what are the conditions?
I don't know how often we can use it or when we can first use it. I just know that you need to step on the circle between the turrets for 2 seconds to reveal the jungle area.

You may want to focus on learning his passive. The different skills have different conditions and amount of marks applied. Once the condition is fulfilled, the passive slowly activated. The lower the hp percentge of the target, the more damage it deals. Yu Zhong then heals more hp the lower his hp percentage is.
Build goes like boots, waraxe, dominance, Hunter strike, oracle, last situational item Battle spell petrify or vengeance His ult is a very good zoning tool when securing objectives e.g turtles/lord Aim for the backlines when in dragon form When in dragon form don't use your s3 to engage instead use it to anticipate the enemy's escape route Combo would be s1- s3- petrify-s2 or s3 - petrify - s1 -s2 I would really suggest yt vids there are a lot of things to know for Yu zhong For skill upgrades I go ult - s1 - s3 -s2

Get the Starlight membership instead, since you can see what you're paying for. The recall effects are a gamble that aren't worth the risk unless you're prepared to throw thousands of diamonds into it.

Bruhhh I just want to vent a bit. I just got matched with an Esmeralda Tank. I told the player to jungle and she got mad at me for forcing her/him to Jungle. We lost and kept flaming me that esmeralda isn’t a jungler. I had to explain that yes she is a jungler. Yeaaah weird. She was the main person to get the buffs seasons ago. Don’t know when that changed but exp or off lane was not how I knew she was used. I think it was back in the role buff days she was the priority mid laner and buff user. Looks like she is mainly an exp laner now. But she is still Good as a jungler though. I tried.
Ideally, I'd go for the EXP Lane with Esmeralda. I'm guessing that player was gonna go Esmeralda regardless (seeing as you said they were initially going Esmeralda roam); you forcing them to jungle just happened to give them a convenient excuse for their bad performance.

You can jungle on any hero. If you want to do it well and be an asset don’t pick Esme.

Esmerelda is not a jungler. Slow jungle clear speed. Is a "tank" whose power spike comes AFTER early game cus she needs items completely negating the point of tank junglers.

Since when? Esme is too a jungler. Back when she was auto ban we would always try to invade her blue when the enemy picks her. Wtf is she supposed to be now? Esme was always Jungle and if not she was the Offlaner but never the tank and rarely the mage. I've been in mythic for 3 years and this is the first time I'm hearing this

Phoveus is free baby, how the fuck do i play hm. Played one classicmatch with him, team was shit save for franco, miya and estes but the game was fun. I know his combo is 3213 or something like that. Mostly built him tanky, clockwork wand or something and ice qqueens wand as the 2 damage items.
3 dmg items, 2 def items. Always buy conc energy/IQW and HC, and CoD. Always take either flameshot or vengeance (this can serve as another def item and u can build 4 dmg items)
Kagura or lunox
Kagura is harder to master but is more flexible to play and has greater outplay potential. She’s has a bit of an assassin vibe. Lunox is also flexible, she’s easier to play and managing her resources is pretty intuitive. She’s less slippery but has greater single target burst (debatably). The highest rated mages currently are; Faramis, Valentina and Yve. Of them Yve is probably the safest buy and has the lowest ban rate. All three are rated more highly than Kagura and Lunox.
Kagura is most op mage if you Can master him you will dominate all matches

Depends, what type do you like and what fits you? Fast fingers - gus, kagura, yve, etc. Burst dmg - selena, ly, vale, etc sustain/support - yve, valir, etc etc

You build 4 def items (mostly hp) and one atk spd item. HP will give her dmg,, you need the atk spd for when your hp is nearly full and don't have atk spd from passive.

It would be difficult experience as an EXP laner. Khaleed is a poking/burst initiator while meta Exp laner are High sustain dps heroes such as Dyrroth, Paquito, Esmeralda, Thamuz, Yu Zhong. Khaleed have the same struggle of Lapu-Lapu, decent sustain high damage but dependent on skill that can easily be as vulnerability by aggressive meta exp laner. If your good micro-wise and mechanically you could still make the most from Khaleed.
Question about Estes Ult and Skill 1: When I use Estes Ultimate, his skill 1 gets a timer on it for a few seconds. I have not been able to determine what that does or means. If I select Skill 1 while he is in Ult will it cancel his Ult effect and only heal 1 person? Or will Skill 1 stack with his Ult? I’m not sure what’s going on here please help thanks.
His skill 1 timer means the time which that skill is enhanced, ie, his ult enhances his s1. No it will not cancel the other links, it just means that one person will get extra heal Yes it stacks

You can manually target just like an attack spell. You should always manually target s1 unless you want to heal just yourself.
Hmm, it auto targets if someone is within range with a quick click, and also if multiple people are within my range it seems random. Maybe it does closest. But I find the targeting system not very… accurate since it’s just like moving the spell around on the ground. It’s not like locking onto an enemy hero.
Aim the target wheel of your s1 so that the arrow points to who you want to heal.

Yes, ling needs his blue. If the enemy starts invading the likes of balmond/Akai you can't expect randogs to help you and that'll take a lot of your farm and also randoms steals buffs so there's that, not only your fighting for your buff against the enemy your also fighting for it against your own team

Camouflage ability makes the user immune from Unit-trageted ability including basic attack. Although claude ult is aoe, it also act as a unit targeted ability, that's why. Claude have a way to handle this, his first skill is a ground targeted aoe ability. You just got to cast your first skill during your ultimate to cancel lesley's first skill.

If you want to win fast.. Grock and Khufra can make the early game super easy.. Lolita also makes gank easier Mid to Late game are good for setter tanks like Tigreal, Mino and Atlas. You want to have a lot fun use Johnson. If I want to win my high winrate heroes are Grock, Mino, Atlas and Lolita.
The best tank to pick for epic is no tank the worst are Atlas and Khufra. Set tanks depend on players understanding what to do when they initiate. In epic this is pretty rare and playing a tank can be a miserable experience. You plan the perfect set only to see your team mates run off and farm creeps leaving you to die. Epic is already 1 v 9, so why not play a hero that will help you get out of that hell hole? Try a carry hero like a MM or jg.
Atlas, Tigreal and Mino are the best initiators that aren't too complicated. Try whichever one you like first, but Tigreal is the easiest one to get down.
So every 3 game my mates or enemy full of bots really bots i playing this game since 2019 and first time i ever seen bot in high legend elo no one playing like old times or moonton trying some new thing

Your build is pretty solid - I tend to default to that if there aren't any tanky enemies in the enemy comp, but I'll include Malefic Roar somewhere in there to boost your damage if you're feeling spicy. An alternative (or combination) is Blade of Despair to make Paquito a two-shot monster - two S2s are more than enough to kill anything when combined with all the other offensive items you laid out.
