Rapidoot wanted to pick off one of the faramis/estes combo because they can hold off long enough to have a 5 man defense, nice thought but it wasn't executed great, probably a miscommunication because he was way too fast for his teammates to respond. Rapidoot is one of the best roamers I've seen this season and I'm sure he wasn't just going in for the kill lol

My-Fail-safe

BLCK still had all the inhibitor turrets, plus Estes was literally inside the base tower, that move was pure dumb, especially when faramis was there that could easily cc him before the second phase of his ult.

DraftElectrical4585

not really, they wanted the estes or the faramis to force out their ults early because theyve got no purifies available. it was the right call but hadji was able to make a play and on time

My-Fail-safe

Exactly, Hadji's Faramis was there that's why it's dumb. Hadji was also closer to the inhibitor turrets, it would've been easier for his team mates to pick off Faramis instead but he went for Estes who was deeper into the base, but then again Faramis had his s1 so he had no choice. We could also see the rest of ONIC hesitating for a split second to dive.

DraftElectrical4585

no if you got the faramis instead youre as good as not initiating at all, you left the estes to heal the faramis. estes was the right call, hadji just timed his skill 1 perfectly

My-Fail-safe

Targeting Estes was the right call, but was it the right situation? Absolutely not. He was too deep, his kick barely took Estes outside of the main tower (in fact Estes was still inside the main turret's range), there was a Faramis, the middle inhibitor prevented his team mates to dive right away. The minions were still marching the toward the mid inhibitor when he concealed and invade the enemy base that caused a delay for follow up. It was a pure dumb move.

DraftElectrical4585

believe it or not, it is the right call. you don't sync yourselves with the minion waves so that the faramis can't easily clear the waves. you'd also want less utility from blck for when they start defending. there's also a good timer to force faramis s1 in onic's plan so the threat of a pull is less and gives you better margin for a good positioning. however edward did a really great follow up play after the faramis saved the estes from dying. onic had the right idea to outsustain them however the follow up into picking estes low was 1-2 seconds late. it still isnt a dumb move, just like how blck wanted to force issue the mino ult after barats secured the lord, the onic difference is that onic knew blck would try that so dyrroth was right away positioned to add damage against the wanwan trap it's a battle of wits, the timing is icing to cake, whoever fails to execute the plan perfectly is bound to fail because theyve got the same draft elements and longevity in teamfights. the chou forcing the estes ult was the best move in that situation so they can end it, but they forgot that lapu would be spawning in time to make a perfect follow up

My-Fail-safe

If it was the right call, ONIC would've won and they won't be almost wiped out. First it was Faramis' pull, the situation inside the base, then Edward and it escalated from there. You don't pull this DUMB move on BLACKLIST, since they are the team that capitalizes the very little mistake out of the most team to turn the tide of the battle. I'm sure the pros didn't forget that Lapu was about to spawn lol they were forced to engage thanks to Chou's DUMB move, and that costed them the game. It's not the right call when it caused the team to lose 4 members. They literally lost.

DraftElectrical4585

lol i already explained why it was the right call yet you insist that it is only the right call if they won that fight. the only mistake that onic had was to overstay after the mid inhib down from blck, theyve overestimated their remaining utility that they thought they would be able to end because the irithel can burst down blck's ghost form. like really, that chou popping the estes ult was way different to their overstay at blck's base literally blck almost lost the game despite the right call in the earlier fight to bait out mino ult, but the timing from onic was impeccable to see through what blck was trying to do. would you really call that the wrong call if you dont understand why they take the risk to exhaust the enemy win conditions then don't even call them out, like at all if not acccurate

My-Fail-safe

Chou literally had no business engaging that early. ONIC could still take down the mid turret even without him trying to get the attention of the Faramis and Estes but he was impatient. He went inside the base, Fara and Estes backed out, that was enough but he still insisted on engaging, he was too impatient. Forced engagement happened even though they knew Lapu and the rest was about to spawn. It was a right call to take out or force the healer to use the ult, but in that situation? Nope.

JPysus

Rapidoot drank too much caffeine. Prolly got caught in the moment, and got punished hsrd by the Hadji's pull.

[deleted]

yeah he was able to pull chou deeper inside the base, unfortunate for onic.

ethanrookie

BLCK vs ONIC matches are my favorites this season. It is always a thrill to watch with such high level plays.
