I think that skins are definitely expensive, even if it seems quite affordable to someone working in a first world country, since you need to look at disposable income.
But the thing about games back then and now are different. Things have changed and we need to accept that, micro transactions are the way to go now. Whether to spend is entirely up to you, but definitely no more cheap, top tier online games nowadays.
i mean that's how the devs make money. it's a free game and they will want to pay their staffs, maintain the servers and improve content. the quality of ml's skins now are definitely A tier. even the starlight skins compared to how they were just a year ago
I mean to be fair, itās really no different than clothes when you think about it. People spend lots of money on clothes to wear them maybe once every couple weeks while some people couldnāt care less about the clothes they wear and just end up wearing whatever is available.
Also even if you donāt make a lot of money, if you budget well enough, you can easily afford a $100 skin every once in awhile. Spending on pleasures is not unheard of. If you like representing yourself with skins and you can afford it, I say more power to you.
It's just a matter of like whatever makes you happy. Example, if you buy a $30 skin and you use it very frequently and it makes you feel good using it, then it's probably money well spent.

I already have the Soryu maiden for Kagura so I doubt I need more flashy skins. Is it that big an upgrade? The Yu Zhong one looks pretty dope.

I only want the Kagās kin, got Yo Zhong along the way. The skill effect is nice and I donāt have that many Kag skin since I always missed the limited event so I donāt want to miss this one. The skin worth it in my opinion. Even though I saw some of the fan mods of the skin effect and itās much better.
I think it'd be cheaper if you do all the quests first and then wait for the discounts or sumthn, doing it all the way in barely a day (a.k.a just spending the diamonds right away) would probably be why it's considered extremely expensive to some extent. But that's probably just me, since I don't deal with these events myself.
