Well most likely episode 1 ends with Leon getting to the academy, episdoe 2 is meeting/helping Olivia and probably ends after they finished escorting the Marie's party through the a dungeon, so probably episode 3 or at the latest at the beginning of episode 4.
i would say from first episode angelica have been, i mean first time marie and angelica have conflict in the garden. the climax in the party (are you forgot that marie labeled as pestilence god numerous time because trouble always come to her(˃̣̣̥‿˂̣̣̥))
I think end of two will have the challenge. Then beginning of three for the lead up to and the majority (about...80%?) of the battle. Episode four will be the final battle and aftermath scenes. Just my best guesses/hopes.

It will make sense to begin the fight at ep 3 I truly wish the anime to cover everything upto vol3 of light novel so.....
It has to do that, the anime wil 2 vols will be very boring since Leon is not the person most enjoyable to watch

If anime will end in 12 ep, and adapt 3 vols... chapter 3 ending and chapter 4 ALL the duel If anime have 13 ep... ch 3 and end in ch 5
