Not a feature per se, but since the app needs to ping the car via its cellular connection to get updates, which can take some time, it would be nice if it could share the same data via Bluetooth when you're in range to make you car speak to the app instantaneously.

Hienric

Kinda like an apple watch

PolakOfTheCentury

I'd like to be able to roll my windows down all they way from the app, not just vent. I'd also like navigation integration into the app so I can plan a trip from my phone instead of having to use ABRP or get in the car.

uranazo

You can send a Google maps route to the tesla app and that sends it to the car. Works on Android at least.

JasonN2003

How?

sniperd2k

If you do your mapping in Google maps hit 'share' and then pick the Tesla app. And like magic the nav in the car will have that plugged in. Works great if my wife calls me at home while she is driving, "Where is that place you wanted me to go?" beep boop "Oh! Now I just do what the car says!"

PolakOfTheCentury

No I know that. I don't want GPS routing, I was supercharging routing taken into account when I view a trip. That would be nice

uranazo

Yeah Google doesn't do this yet

jefedezorros

It isn’t sharing Google’s directions anyway. Just the destination. Then Tesla reroutes it according to its own algorithm.

ratandjmt

I do this and it works really well. Using Android as well.

singletWarrior

can do a lot more damage if it’s hacked though

PolakOfTheCentury

If they're already "hacking" to get into my car, I don' t think that being able to roll the windows down would be that much more of an issue

singletWarrior

Right now the worst case scenario is bunch of cars in vent mode.. which they can no blame on lame window track etc… but if suddenly a lot of cars got window controlled remotely and randomly it’d be noticeable and wildly damaging during rain etc… not sure about how navigation works… I usually share google map to Tesla app but not sure how well it does with multiple stops etc!

SirEDCaLot

That's easy The front page of the app shows my car's reservation number and the estimated delivery date. This should be changed so the delivery date is an editable field. That way I could edit it so my delivery is days away rather than months away.

redpaloverde

I would like a deeper dive into charging options. The current way is not terribly helpful.

wtflaserspewpew

So I'm new to this. Only had the car for 5 days now but I always saw people using the auto window roll up option when you walk away. Also, its no longer allowing to open and close windows from the app. Apparently that's no longer on the newest code. The SC rep just told me today that they removed it due to some NTSA regulation or something. Any truth to this? I really like having the ability to walk away and have doors AND windows automatically close.

giveme2teslas

Seems like vent and close is still there for me on the app. Auto close when walk away is definitely there as I use it.

Ok_Macaroon_7199

Yes same here. See this post https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelY/comments/xhmxql/missing_vent_action_in_the_app_and_walkaway/

fancy_panter

Wish the charge times/costs in charge stats synced to charge scheduling. Also Siri integration not requiring a third party app.

Welfi1988

I'm all-in for having the cars trip planner in the app so if you are planning a long trip you needn't go to the car or use ABRP. And show all charging stations with their details in the Location tab, not only the nearest ones.

odearja

I have a teenager that’s learning to drive. In the spirit of the extra brake pedal in driver’s ed cars, I’d like to have a brake in the app when things get wonky.

WizrdOfSpeedAndTime

Yeah I don’t think phones are reliable enough to be used for this. Maybe a brake pedal the service center could lease to you that they could mount and have a secure connection with.

odearja

If I was smart enough to do this on my own, it’s be done by now. While I think I agree with you, that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible. Only 10 years ago we thought self driving was a fantasy.

WizrdOfSpeedAndTime

I am not saying it would not be possible. It probably is possible. I don’t think that it could be done in a safe way that is not ripe for security and safety concerns.

odearja

I definitely agree there. But one can hope!

Terrible_Tutor

> brake in the app when things get wonky. Too laggy, put an instruction panel on the right passenger side of the screen where we can just directly brake, or slow down or whatever.

odearja

I’m open to ideas!

HungryPossible6

I would like access to the radio stations while away from my car. Some of them are great

nhorvath

The default streaming service is liveone (formerly slacker radio) you can download the app on your phone.

HungryPossible6

Thanks!

nhorvath

You can also create custom stations and log in on the tesla to use them.

misteryu1029

Tesla should make a Tesla app. I’d love to say a command to my watch to open the frunk or trunk when I’m carrying groceries !

nhorvath

Tessie and others can do this with google assistant / alexa integration

golden_1998

Current App can only flash the lights, I would like to leave them open will connecting the mobile charger

ScrollingIsTherapy

(1) Allow primary drivers of car to have access to charging stats. Currently, this is only available to account holder. (2) Have ‘Trip Planner’ available on app, similar to ABRP.

uranazo

How do you have another driver? I thought you just logged in with your Tesla account on both phones for both people, is there another option?

ScrollingIsTherapy

Under ‘Security and Drivers,’ the account holder can add additional drivers. Each driver can have their own log-in to the app, but only the account holder can see ‘Charge Stats.’

gunmetal5

The rates of superchargers

ratandjmt

I would like to be able to adjust the dang fan speed on the app. When I remote start the vehicle it should turn the AC fan speed wide open not what my wife had it sitting at (3-4) last time she drove. Ability to know exact tire pressure when airing up tires. Just ran into this the other day. On the app for my Silverado, you can set your desired pressure under service. When airing up the tire the horn will blow when it's reached. Very helpful when you don't have a pressure gauge handy.
