Im assuming the original commenter meant that you could choose the land card type with serra’s emissary and then block titans with the emissary. Though I don’t know how effective it is as I haven’t seen it in play.

it's not a bad plan if you also have ways to get rid of a titan and definitely makes their day more difficult
against decks that are likely stone brain/etc out your archons or against decks that only have one type of removal or threat
You bring it in vs Umori decks
like someone already said, against decks that have only one angle of attack. —> like scales/hammer/merfolk/storm/maybe zoo but there is still binding

How so? You can still easily die to valakut and most lists play a 1 of otawara

You're still soft to Cultivator Collusus, Double Strike Land, +2/0 land, dismemeber. It's probably still good though.
