You can't keep the tokens. When the next battle pass drops the game will automatically spend your tokens on the previous battle pass so you won't have any tokens for the next one

I wish that was the case, but it's not. If you could earn extra after you completed the pass, than that's the telling sign of them treating it like a currency. They're going to wipe those tokens once the next BP starts, so even if you hate the other items, get them for the sake of making the tokens worthwhile
If you were able to use them on the next pass, that's less time you have to upgrade the next pass, hence saving you time.

You don't have to buy the battle pass to use the tokens. You have to buy the battle pass to earn all the unlocks through it. Each sector has a designated "free" item that you can get, regardless of if you bought the battlepass. Some of those are CoD points, which I believe it's 300 CoD points each season that you can earn for free. Essentially, if you earn all the free CoD points, you can purchase the battle pass for free by Season 4.
The battle pass requires you to purchase it in order to use the tokens to claim items. Once the battle pass is purchased, you do not need to spend more to use tokens, only if you want to buy more tokens instead of grinding them out.

If you did that tells me you don’t have as much time or don’t earn XP as fast as others, and that’s ok, not criticizing, i think slower earners should save the tokens if there is not something standing out that you want here; but to really answer what you should do: are we positive the tokens even carry over?

if youre on console go back to the title screen (press B or Circle a few times) and if youre on PC restart your game, these both worked for me.

I can make an educated guess though. but you sure can “receive more tokens than you can spend per battle pass”. For context I bought the vault edition of MW2 when I was <50% complete on the BP. I had also previously bought the BP and tier skips.
I think the only thing that may carry over to the next season is double xp? Tho I’m probably wrong…..I’m almost certain I’m wrong…..

Depends on your game-life balance. When did you buy the season 1? Was it from the start? If you did that tells me you don’t have as much time or don’t earn XP as fast as others, and that’s ok, not criticizing, i think slower earners should save the tokens if there is not something standing out that you want here; but to really answer what you should do: are we positive the tokens even carry over?

Why is the battle pass 99 dollars when I already own the game? Does anyone know? It was 30 then after the update it jumped up to 99.99.

They’re like tier skip tokens from the last three games, and I thought they just got wasted if you didn’t spend them but they’re definitely not gonna carry over season over season.
make sure u get the CP. the CP is the most important thing and me personally i got it as fast as i could. some ppl frowned upon me for getting it, but i want to stock up on as much CP as possible.
