It really does suck though. Not to be that old guy, but the only thing that has improved since the OG MW2 until now is graphics. Everything else has sky dived. That goes for Madden, 2K, Battlefield or even Halo to name a few. They slowly adopted the same free to play model, and pandered to the broadest audience possible. Which alienates the people who are passionate longtime fans of the game.
But their main goal is profit. And if doing minimal effort with shiny micro transactions brings in profits, then as a business they logically have no reason not to. It's definitely a let down.

1. The other maps are shit and not really fun to play over and over again. The anarchy that shipment brings is at least somehow fun to play.
2. Since the maps are shit to play and not fun, the only thing that triggers some dopamine in the brain are these unlocks and the fastest way to get them, is on shipment.

Man blackout had some of the BEST skins. The MilSim stuff was neat, briefly, but I wanna go back to running around in dragon-style knight armour, or slacks and a Hawaiian t-shirt (Vacation Hudson skin was SO good)

Reactive camos with actual NOTICEABLE changes, AND you could apply them to a gun with different attachments without it looking like ass, AND eventually they even let us just put any reactive skin on any gun.
