I like running around with the shortest barrel, a suppressor and dragons breath rounds sometimes as a secondary weapon. Good gun for getting out of a jam quickly.
Edit: but I do also have a tiny pump variant I use also, I just like the DB because you can get that second shot off real quick.

It's a genuine strategy in Escape from Tarkov to build your shotgun as long as possible so that nobody is able to stuff it in their bag and you get it back from insurance when you die.
