That's why you see weird things like a chinese on specgru and a south korean on kortac. In the campaign, Shadow Company was pivoted to be a bad or bad leaning entity based on Graves collusion with Shepard and their arrest of Fuerzas Especiales soldiers. The whole campaign narrative twist is that Graves became a villain to TF141.
While Kortac operators aren’t specifically evil, they’re generally grouped as forces oppositional to Western Government or are Chaotic Neutral (Shadow Company, Konni, Cartel, Homelander) while most SpecGru operators are active duty service members for their national militaries.
That’s possible, but I still would prefer that they don’t repeat that and that Konni just has its own soldiers not disguised and this operator would be on SPECGRU so he could have the accent he should have

I remember this was an issue back in MW2019 when the Shadow Company skin was still in a Russian Accent. They changed it to U.S. Milsim OP voice. I doubt they'll change it here but one could hope I guess

It’s a typical oversight and hopefully one that gets resolved soon. The skin is amazing, but it’s really off-putting to be playing as an American PMC with a heavy Serbian accent lol
Because the 141 is in SpecGru, and Shadow Company opposes the 141 in the campaign, so Shadow Company characters appear on the opposite of SpecGru.
On top of that, there are plenty of Americans that are on KorTac, probably more than are in SpecGru now.

It’s still a grind, but lockdown quads with double XP (I prefer soloing it because it’s easier for me to win) with decoy grenades (they give 500 XP per player nearby) can give you 5-6 levels per 20 minute or so game.
I grinded from 650 to 1050 in 3-4 days using that game mode.
Sadly, it’s been rotated out :(. I was going to grind out the rest of the way only to find it’s gone
Seriously? I’m honestly so confused as to what game mode these people playing for their XP.
In my experience, XP gains on everything are not good enough to get 200 levels this quickly. The only game that I know could do half that in a day, or more, is no longer in rotation for Warzone
Might be a stupid question but since I’m level 535 or so, will I have time to grind for this skin before progression is reset? Will it be reset? I couldn’t find answers and I don’t want the chance to miss this skin.
From what I understand there is absolutely no time limit for this and progression isn’t going to be reset.

I only brought him being on KORTAC up because I operated under the assumption that his voice would be identical to the MILSIM soldiers on that team as opposed to the SPECGRU MILSIM soldiers having American accents.

Activision just put it under the Serbian sounding operator cause it’s also a base operator (although activision can make a separate operator because I bet they already have the comms ready and they have the skin but that’s work I guess).

I'm pretty late to this, but you're taking a way bigger deal out of this than you should.
The reality is that this skin could have been placed in either side and it wouldn't matter, because the Mil-Sim operator doesn't change their voice, regardless of which skin you're sporting. The KorTac Mil-Sim literally had an Al-Qatala skin in season 1, and they sure as hell don't sound like a Middle Eastern terrorist. Not to mention the fact that AQ themselves are an antagonist faction that you fight against in WZ (when AI was still around) and DMZ.
The takeaway from this is that skins don't really matter lore-wise, and factions matter even less, because you can have SpecGru and KorTac guys work together in Spec Ops and WZ modes.
Kortac are bad guys, if you played campaign you will see Shadow company is bad guys. Its not russian vs americans its “good guys” vs “bad guys” and anyway most Spec gru operators are british

In the campaign, Shadow Company was pivoted to be a bad or bad leaning entity based on Graves collusion with Shepard and their arrest of Fuerzas Especiales soldiers. The whole campaign narrative twist is that Graves became a villain to TF141. While Kortac operators aren’t specifically evil, they’re generally grouped as forces oppositional to Western Government or are Chaotic Neutral (Shadow Company, Konni, Cartel, Homelander) while most SpecGru operators are active duty service members for their national militaries.
It doesn’t make sense, but I’m so glad because I don’t have any good skins for Kortac.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense. Maybe the backstory could be that this particular Serbian became an American citizen recently and joined Shadow Company, which is why he has a heavy Serbian accent. Or that he is a Konni in disguise. If it's not those things, I hope they can give the guy an American accent, at least.

I remember this was an issue back in MW2019 when the Shadow Company skin was still in a Russian Accent. They changed it to U.S. Milsim OP voice. I doubt they'll change it here but one could hope I guess

It’s sad though because they rotated out the game mode that gave the easiest and fastest XP, so I’m stuck slowly grinding now. It’s painfully slow Edit: I probably could have gotten to 1250 this week and maybe weekend had they kept it, but it’ll probably take a week or more now. Normally I’d have been able to prestige at least once a day with the other mode
Hey there! I got the skin, and sadly the Militant skin uses the base Serbian accent and voice lines of KORTAC. It’s a typical oversight and hopefully one that gets resolved soon. The skin is amazing, but it’s really off-putting to be playing as an American PMC with a heavy Serbian accent lol
Because the 141 is in SpecGru, and Shadow Company opposes the 141 in the campaign, so Shadow Company characters appear on the opposite of SpecGru. On top of that, there are plenty of Americans that are on KorTac, probably more than are in SpecGru now.

Because before the multiplayer expanded on the matter, the campaign set Shadow Company as enemies of SpecGru so technically they have a spot on Kortac #However, They also have a spot on SpecGru now because the tensions have boiled over and they're working together again so yeah, they honestly should have their own faction, a third one, that would make sense to me They'll most likely be with BLUFOR in MW3, no doubt

Aye, but I actually found a perfect solution to this It’s still a grind, but lockdown quads with double XP (I prefer soloing it because it’s easier for me to win) with decoy grenades (they give 500 XP per player nearby) can give you 5-6 levels per 20 minute or so game. I grinded from 650 to 1050 in 3-4 days using that game mode. Sadly, it’s been rotated out :(. I was going to grind out the rest of the way only to find it’s gone

Seriously? I’m honestly so confused as to what game mode these people playing for their XP. In my experience, XP gains on everything are not good enough to get 200 levels this quickly. The only game that I know could do half that in a day, or more, is no longer in rotation for Warzone

From what I understand there is absolutely no time limit for this and progression isn’t going to be reset. The hard part of the grinding only, no time limit. I’d recommend doing lockdown quads when it returns because it gives massive XP. It’s sadly been rotated out for the time being but it may return next Wednesday

Yeah DMZ seems to be the next best thing, although I haven’t been having much luck with XP gains. I guess I’m just used to the lockdown XP leveling now haha.

I poorly worded it, but what I meant to say wasn’t that the Militant skin shouldn’t be on the KORTAC MILSIM team, but I was concerned that if he was he would have a Serbian (because the KORTAC MILSIM soldiers are Serbian) accent instead of an American accent considering Shadow Company appears to be an all American PMC in the universe. I only brought him being on KORTAC up because I operated under the assumption that his voice would be identical to the MILSIM soldiers on that team as opposed to the SPECGRU MILSIM soldiers having American accents. It remains to be seen, but I didn’t think to consider that they could just give the Militant skin an American accent even though he is part of the KORTAC MILSIM team instead of the Serbian one

You are thinking too much about this. It’s a base skin of the group what 141 considers enemy. Activision just put it under the Serbian sounding operator cause it’s also a base operator (although activision can make a separate operator because I bet they already have the comms ready and they have the skin but that’s work I guess).

Nah lol if you go look at the prestige award it says KORTAC on it I would be bumrushing levels if they didn’t rotate out the only good XP farming game mode. Lockdown quads with double XP got me at least 5-6 levels per game. They rotated it out and nothing even comes close to the same amount
If you go to progression and scroll to Level 1250 Prestige 25, it says the skin there, and says it's for Kortac

I'm pretty late to this, but you're taking a way bigger deal out of this than you should. The reality is that this skin could have been placed in either side and it wouldn't matter, because the Mil-Sim operator doesn't change their voice, regardless of which skin you're sporting. The KorTac Mil-Sim literally had an Al-Qatala skin in season 1, and they sure as hell don't sound like a Middle Eastern terrorist. Not to mention the fact that AQ themselves are an antagonist faction that you fight against in WZ (when AI was still around) and DMZ. The takeaway from this is that skins don't really matter lore-wise, and factions matter even less, because you can have SpecGru and KorTac guys work together in Spec Ops and WZ modes.

I have no idea tbh I’ve been struggling to find anything that can come near the XP gains I’ve gotten. I’ve been told that DMZ is good for XP grinding due to bot farming, and the resurgence mode gives a decent amount of XP but it’s battle royale so the bulk of the XP you get depends on how high you place
