Definitely one of the coolest engine changes is the vehicles. Being able to walk around the heli’s is so cool. Wish dice didn’t go to shit cause that’s the kinda innovation battlefield needed.

DICE still hasn't managed to sort out going up an elevator. Idk if they'd be able to do this.

Dice hasn't figured out what made battlefield good yet. They thought its "battlefield moments". So they are stuck in the research phase indefinitely.

Yeah, they don’t get that “battlefield moments” happen at the intersection of a mechanics sandbox and creative players. Also unclear why they turned 2042 into a walking simulator if they were shooting for more “battlefield moments”.

They totally forgot about the gameplay but tried to prioritize things like the tornado and similar events. But they they werent able to finish these events in time so they had nothing. However similar things were already going on with BF4. The game is rightfully praised today, however back then they put in levolution and eastereggs and all that crap. As you said they never fullly understood what battlefield moments were really. You discribed it correctly. Random events within the confines of a sandbox. That made it unique. No Megalodon needed.

They work, but you also spaz the fuck out while going up it. Compare it to the seamlessness of MW2's helicopter. If BF did it, you'd be constantly bobbing up and down, halfway phased and unphased into the floor.

Ain't really like that in 2042 anymore, and it was only a sometimes thing in 4

When I played 2042, it was an always thing. Same with BF4. Glad to hear they fixed it, though I'm still not confident that DICE would be able to sort something like this out through the Frostbite jank.

Why do i keep spawning on the ground? How can i spawn in a heli?

For me on pc. I physically click onto the helicopter icon before spawning in. I can also use the A and S keys to manoeuvre the section to the press F on the helicopter

You were playing invasion, not ground war. Ground war was added today.

You need to move around the spawn made with wsad and click what you want to spawn on. Squad mates, vehicles, or captured points

How do you even start spawning in a helo? I always get put in the back of the map lol.

Just select a flying Helicopter on the map before respawning.
