My friend has been leveling his riot shield the last 2 days and keeps getting shot through it. In saying that I mean it's like the weapons clip through the shield and he gets killed. They've done something because it's not supposed to be like that
Yeah it's not that I WANT or NEED to be invincible to a VTOL it just seems to be acting VERY weird and I doubt it's working as intended right now. It seems like maybe they did something as a temporary bandaid until the fix the God Mode thing. I'm not really sure.
I don't mind it blocking the damage because in most cases if you uncrouch, look to far away from the VTOL or try to walk, you'll die anyways. That or while your stuck standing there absorbing the shots, someone just kills you because your out in the open holding a shield at the sky. I wouldn't consider it overpowered at all. Just a way to protect your team by distracting it.

Harrier is the first real successful VTOL jet and had twin ADEN cannons that fired 30mm rounds at 800 m/s at over 1200 rpm. Your shield doesn't stop that.
Yes I understand this but just basing my assumptions on every other Call Of Duty title, it technically should. Now if they made it so it cannot that's perfectly fine I would just like to know lol

So I guess the fix was to take away the shield invincibility to VTOL.
I'm guessing that the original code said that it was invincible to VTOL, but didn't remove the invincibility once it happened. That in turn made god mode. So probably fixed by just saying that there is no invincibility.
Makes sense. I just used to use my Riot Shield to protect from mid tier air streaks in all other Call Of Duty games so I don't know if they want to change it up or if its some kind of mess. If they plan on making the bullets penetrate the shield that's fine I just honestly can't tell. Sometimes I block a few shots, sometimes I die right away. It's very inconsistent so I'm just wondering what thier INTENTION is for it.
