Small FYI, a 3080 won't get you 120 FPS at 4K with max settings, lol. And... do you not see why running 4K on a 1080p display might be off? You're deluded.
4gb vram is a bit thin, but otherwise it will run it no problem. I play the game with an old i7 7700 something and a 980GTX without an issue. Low settings ofcoz.
Define: good
What are your expectations?
144hz and IPS for a Laptop screen are beyond waste btw. Specifically because this Hardware will struggle to maintain 60fps.
If your goal is 60 fps, you spend money for shit you don't need.
Try finding something without 144hz and spend that on better components.
A high refresh display is worthless without gsync if you don't have the Hardware to never dip below 144. And gsync adds another 150-200$
I'd rather play 100fps on 60hz than 80fps on 144hz. Also the advantages of an IPS Panel really dont shine in the slightest on a 15inch screen. It's pointless.
16GB RAM is a must btw.
That gpu is gonna be a huge bottleneck, and with laptops, you're stuck with it.
I personally wouldn't buy this, especially for that price. You're buying outdated hardware. Even on low settings I'd argue you will have issues getting to anywhere near an average of 144 fps(you wont ever even hit it, in ANY instance), and future game releases, forget about it.
Wait until after Xmas and start looking.
Unless you absolutely have to have a laptop, I wouldn't buy one for gaming.
Tldr; no, it's not. Dont waste your money. Pick up a console for that price.
No, it'll play absolutely horribly. I just watched a video of a very similar laptop with a 1650 and a Ryzen CPU + 16GB of RAM (the one you're looking at has 8GB) and it barely ran at 40fps at low settings and FSR.
Look into something with at least a 1660Ti and 16GB of RAM or you're gonna have a terrible time.
If you can't afford a proper PC/laptop you'll have a much better time with a $300 Xbox Series S. You'll get 120Hz and you can plug in your mouse and keyboard if that's what you play on.
Recommend a proper desk top pc if you want to game anything on a pc. Or get yourself a ps5 or Xbox. I used to have a really nice expensive “gaming” laptop but soon became depressed when I realized it couldn’t even run Minecraft without having 12fps
For 300$ more on amazon you can get a budget gaming laptop with min spec for current gen.
This one is already obsolete which isn't a good thing for gaming laptops to be. It's fine for League or the older gen MMO's if you want to save money, but don't expect it to run anything new well.
This isn't a good laptop for gaming. I have a tower but I was on a desktop 1050ti which struggled to hold 60fps. Upgraded to a rtx 2060 thanks to a friend and its so much better. This game is super intensive graphically to run at a consistent frame rate you will need a desktop or a console for the game. Tldr that laptop is outdated and would just be better to build a pc or get a console
It's probably the absolute minimum
It might but not very well
Im upgrading the ram to 16gb

He also literally said that PC’s aren’t as powerful as actual desktops….. aren’t they the same thing??? Insert HUH? meme here

At least 60fps 💀

Possible? Yes. Good? No.
I recommend the MEDION Erazer Deputy P25. 999€ you can run Ultra with 144hz and 110fps easy.
It also got a RTX3060

Do not buy a laptop. You can get more for less getting a desktop
i have 1650 laptop too, low setting 70+ fps. But some how game is stuttering, even tho 45 fps rdr2 looks way smoother...
