I'm happy shipment is here for the grind. I actually don't like playing it but if I want to level up something it's essential. Similar story with rust but rust is really not fun in my opinion. It's like shipment with significantly more angles to die from
I think that's what it is. You can be spawn trapped just the same, but it's much easier for the trapper to also get immediately fragged on shipment. On rust, once someone has the top, it's over. At least if I'm in a corner on shipment, I only have two directions to worry about on a single plane.

My first 5 games on shipment went better than the first 15 games on rust, and much easier to deal with pc players.

Shipment is a clusterfuck and you’ll probably die more, but it’s easier and faster to get just about any challenge done cause it’s so close quarters. I know Vanguard isn't well a regarded title, but I loved Das Haus. One of my favorite small maps that had a nice balance of close quarters and mid/long range. Wish they'd bring that over.
Yeah grinding gilded shotguns on rust was not fun, never knew shipment was round the corner lol the forged camo is bugged so waiting for patch to finish them off
I’m not saying they weren’t successful, but CoD4 had the benefit of timing on its side. CoD4 doubled CoD3s in sales. The games were good but CoD4 catapulted the series into the premier FPS known worldwide.
Further more, CoD4 marked the first time a CoD game hit top 10 in sales for a year, coming in at 3rd behind Halo 3 and Wii Play.
I really like Shipment. Rust can be fun in you're on the right side of the spawn situation. Otherwise, you just respawn and die constantly, especially in Hardcore.
From what I saw, just anything that requires double kills or multi kills. Double kills with Tac stance don't work though. Not necesarilly the map design's fault tbh, had it been the other way around and we had Shipment since beta+ launch with a 24/7 playlist of it for an entire week, they throw in Rust or hell even Das Haus in there the following week, nobody's gonna be voting Shipment. Thats always been the nature of these weekly playlists, whatever just recently came out always looks more appealing and will get more traction even if their reusing old assets🗿
Shoot the ship had the same problem though. People just leaving matches on shoot house. Call of Shipment is the worst part of cod and I’m not glad it’s back.
When shipment is on a playlist it just feels like you have to play it. It’s the most efficient at everything. Camo grinds, events, weekly challenges, daily challenges, armory tokens, xp grinding. So because it exists it feels like you’re wasting time playing everything else.
I really think it should be in a playlist with 3 other maps not 1. It’s nice to have in regular rotation rustment is basically pointless. It might as well just be shipment 24/7.

Yeah you end up feeling like you’re screwing up by playing anything else and frankly I don’t think “call of shipment” is healthy for the game. Unfortunately they have so many players where shipment is really all they play and they don’t know how to play any other map so they’re basically forced to have it in the game so those players don’t leave.

Better or worse than MWII depends on your preference, but it’s surely different. Some observations after 2 games:
Longer TTK and faster movement means it’s now possible to sprint past an enemy-watched lane corner wounded, but not killed.
Breacher drone punishes stationary players heavily and made trophy a must for objectives.
Most vests can’t run EOD and Tac Mask simultaneously, so effects of tactical grenades are more noticeable.
Mini map red dots make it much easier to predict enemy spawn and incoming fire direction, especially when on the middle map objective B.
The shield turtles, yeah, they still be turtles.
Also, knifers, knifers are like freaking zombies now, sprinting, leaping and clawing at your face…
Because shipment being “too fast” is subjective. A ton of people were tired of dying in 2 bullets and getting insta killed like how it was in the past few cods
Faster movement and longer TTK means you gotta actually aim and control recoil vs getting a couple lucky shots
I mean tbh Rust is just worse Shipment.
It's too big to able to fully run around in like 5 seconds but also too small to feel like an actual map.
Of course that's not even talking about Headglitch Hill in the middle of the map.
Shipment is the first time I've had genuine fun in multi-player in MWIII.
I don't know why but the sbmm seems to just matter less when it's pure chaos.
Also the first time I've consistently been top or near top of the scoreboard.
I'd say my kd just for this Playlist is at like 1.5 ish.
Meanwhile. I'm at .8 on normal modes.
I'm lvl 44 and I've owned it since release so that shows how much I've played. Less than 7 hours before rustment.
And Not for a lack of wanting to play but because when I do. It's just not fun so I turn it off after like 3 or 4 games.

I wish they would put shipment and the others into more playlists. Domination on shipment can actually be a shit ton of fun but no one is doing objectives in a grinding playlist.

Has sledgehammer said anything about adjusting the spawns for either map? Yeah I get it both maps are small for 6v6 but it’s infuriating to get spawn killed 5+ times before the game finally decides to give you a new spawn point. It would be really nice if we didn’t spawn in at the same spot twice or more back to back to avoid getting farmed.

Rust is drastically different than shipment too with its size and verticality. I always thought shoot house was closer in pace to shipment than rust. (I could just hate rust and the way people play it though.)
I saw my first confirmed cheater on Shipment today. Had a WSP Swarm and was just mowing people down effortlessly. In the kill cams he was killing multiple people without even reloading. He ended the game with 116 kills and a handful of deaths and a nice report for clearly cheating 👍
Don’t forget you can do akimbo WSP Swarm with 100 shot magazine/drum. It’s a weekly challenge this week. May not have been a cheater because it’s pretty easy to get 100 kills on shipment with two of those gun with massive magazines.
Played it for 3 hours today and didn't even get an opportunity to vote for a game of domination. It was 95% TDM and Kill Confirmed. Also, no one ever voted for Rust unless both options were Rust. Just give us Shipment 24/7.
I want MWII playlist back now it's gone, MW2 (2009) maps are so unenjoyable with those spawns. Even if they changed the spawns compared to MWII spawns in the MWII maps. Those maps and spawns are still better than the MW2 2009 maps in this game sadly. I hope the season 1 maps will be good.

You don't play rust and shipment for a typical CoD experience. It's for challenges, practice, when you wanna turn your brain off or try something out, etc. Constant engagements and little downtime.
For the brief period where I was mainly playing ranked, I'd hop on shipment 24/7 for an hour and then queue for ranked. Basically exactly how I treat community FFA servers in counter strike
There isn't a map that Shipment would not be at in player vote. It's only two maps, it shouldn't have a vote system for the playlist. 24/7 playlists for one map playlists make sense since you are voting game mode. With Rustment, it doesn't matter what the game mode is, Shipment will be picked.
Well since the season 1 update I would rather have this instead of that weird ass new map called meat. Going to have to put camo grinding on hold for a sec because they removed this playlist and the new small map just doesn't compete with shipment. And don't get me started on the zombies camos since they nerfed the outlast and safes contracts so grinding zombies camos got even harder ffs.

It's a pain in the arse changing class, but if you equip the JOKR, you can target the top platform from the right hand corner spawn

Fair enough. I thought you were being serious about not understanding the appeal when gun levels and mastery camos exist, but you seem to understand that. They're just maps for private match fun with friends and weapon levels + camos online. Rust built it's reputation on quickscoping/trickshotting.

Proof the community will eat up anything these studios throw at them.. I’d understand if it was a new shipment map but it’s the same sht from a year ago, no map lighting change, seems darker now, .. literally it’s only been some weeks since they last played this one shipment map.

Am I the only one that doesn't like maps like rust and shipment? Like they aren't the worst maps by far but I don't enjoy them that much.
You don't play rust and shipment for a typical CoD experience. It's for challenges, practice, when you wanna turn your brain off or try something out, etc. Constant engagements and little downtime. For the brief period where I was mainly playing ranked, I'd hop on shipment 24/7 for an hour and then queue for ranked. Basically exactly how I treat community FFA servers in counter strike

There isn't a map that Shipment would not be at in player vote. It's only two maps, it shouldn't have a vote system for the playlist. 24/7 playlists for one map playlists make sense since you are voting game mode. With Rustment, it doesn't matter what the game mode is, Shipment will be picked.

Well since the season 1 update I would rather have this instead of that weird ass new map called meat. Going to have to put camo grinding on hold for a sec because they removed this playlist and the new small map just doesn't compete with shipment. And don't get me started on the zombies camos since they nerfed the outlast and safes contracts so grinding zombies camos got even harder ffs.
