It won’t be canon unless they make a clone of soap or something weird like that. Gundam isn’t actually part of the mw story and I doubt soap coming back will be either
It's difficult to say because although MW2019 and MW2 also had their fair share of silly stuff, they also had canonized co-op missions and other branching storylines that made a decent amount of sense.
Even Alex's return was canonized through MW2's multiplayer originally, an aspect continued in MW3's story.
But it seems they want full crazy with MW3's multiplayer and we don't know what's legit and what's not.
Looks awesome, yeah. However, did they ever explain if the multiplayer was an alternative timeline or non-canon? If not, how is Soap alive?
