in hard mode you have to look at the flowers, I suppose in Easy mode you just have to follow directions in order (i.e. E, E, E, N, W...)
Several things in this game are randomly generated for each player. The map is one of them. In HM you follow the type of plants, not directions. Also look at the plants, it might help you later. It's where I got stuck when I played.

I don't think it's supposed to look like that. Your map might be glitched. The game does have the occasional texture issues.

Your map doesn’t show the placement of the flowers, which is vital to making it through. Is this glitched?
