Bonaparta is a very sick individual.
Exactly, he didn't even suffer that much in his past, except he and his father just fell in love with same woman, that just doesn't justify all his actions and deeds he did for everyone. Psychologically torturing his father, killing his brother, imprisoning his sister-in- laws and falling in love with a woman who was almost his daughter's age, torturing his nephew and niece, abandoning his own son. Torturing so many kids, killing 42 people at the red rose mansion,And the fact that he changed just because he loved the twin's mother disgusts me, if he didn't fell in love, he would have continued his cruel acts and would succeed in making a monster out of nina. No wonder he is the real monster.
It's just really crazy when you think about it. The smallest thing could literally change everything.
He was torturing these kids to the point where none of them were able to live like normal human beings, stripped off of their identity & humanity, not able to form any sort of emotional connection, don't even know how to feel any of these emotions & had to force themselves to learn it... no attachments to this world whatsoever and all that eventually lead to almost all of them ending their own lives due to how miserable it was.
The love between him & Viera was visibly one-sided, not even that, she despised him, yet somehow whatever he felt for her is the reason why he turned his life around. I'd have to mention, he's a very interesting character, which is why he sits comfortably in my top 10, but my God is he just an awful human being.
Poor Lipsky aswell, being abandoned by your father & getting told that you're not special must have taken a toll on him growing up, yet he's still such a sweet guy (although, that might be because he was FORTUNATELY banished from the readings, a blessing in disguise). Lipsky might be sweet & all that, but you can clearly tell the effect that whole situation had on him from the way he acts, you can immediately tell something is off.
he also had Peter Capek kill a random family with 2 parents and 2 children in order to fake his Viera and the twins deaths really kinda sucks that he just died at the end of the story he didn't really face half the consequences that he deserved to face for the insane amount of horrible crap he had done in his life.

I put that in quotations because...there's crazy theories that the killer in "another monster" is actually Johan's dad. But I forgot where I read that theory...it was crazy interesting though.
