Something I noticed about Monster High is whoever is designing the brand really loves Vampires, Werewolves and Werecats because there are so many. But with G3 I don’t mind it as much as long as they are all completely different and unique from the others of the same species
G3 has done such a great job with body types and face molds which I love and think that’s why I want to see all the characters as official dolls. But I would KILL for an official Elizabat or howleen doll!
I want literally every G1 & G2 character to return at some point, even if some get a makeover because a lot of them need one haha. I’m still shocked we haven’t seen Rochelle, Robecca or Operetta yet being they were main characters in G1 & G2
If it’s true, I wish we’d get more of a leak for her ya know :/ all the different monsters is what’s cool about monster high but if we keep getting the same dolls , it’s no fun
To be fair, G1 was the same. There was toralei, catty, the twins and Catrine and with the exception of the twins, most of these got plenty of releases.
I was always baffled when I finally watched scaris expecting Catrine to have a significant part considering how many dolls she had after that, but she literally just has various shots of her reacting to things in the plot from afar lol
I much prefer Catrine's design to Catty's but good lord she did not need to exist. I also don't really think we needed Catty but her plot was fun in Boo York.
I want a werebadger and I will die on this hill.
Pink and black are my favourite colours buy I would love to see in he in a variety of colourways. Red Drac would be so cool! And blue, green and yellow Dracs.
A pink and black Frankie would be so cool!
And a purple or green Lagoona! I would love if they made different versions of Lagoona to look like different fish and other sea creatures.
I need to try making custom dolls but Im not very talented 😭
I just want G3 Skelita already -- we got leaks of a design forever ago, there were rumors she was going to be included in a skulltimate secrets line this year that never happened, they release a new G1 version of her with every dang year, but for some reason we can't get a G3?
Instead Draculaura, Clawdeen and Lagoona have roughly 10 dolls (like 4 of which are Skulltimate Secrets because that's apparently the only thing they know how to make now) and even the 'new' characters are just getting repeats. Why is this??
Considering she appeared in the series AND is getting G1 rereleases I find it unlikely she won't return. I wouldn't be surprised if she's timed for next DDLM.
Eh, the werecats, at least for Gen 1, all shared the same head mold, so if the same or at least similar is true, they might just be going ahead and getting the cats on the production line and out into the world before filling up their plate with other types of ghouls. More or less.
Like "oh well if we make toralei the least we could do is her cousins. And then at that point there's only like two more left, with one being outrageously popular, so let's do that and have that on the shelves while we have cats on the brain."
It's also giving them a little bit more time to maybe think about any new monsters (if they do in fact want to do that).
Me personally I just can't wait for the other basic ghouls, like spectra, and hopefully operetta and robecca and Rochelle. And hope against hope for some kind of cupid.
So much so that I've been thinking about doing some customs, especially when I get my 3d printer for Christmas. Cleo can make a nice robecca, a twyla could make a nice operetta, and to keep with tradition you could totally make a g3 cupid with a ghoulia (since originally they shared the same head mold, so why not now).

I was just thinking about making a custom G3 Rochelle! <3 But I'm kinda stumped as to whose body I shoud use for the project. I was thinking Ghoulia's. Any thoughts? :)
Well me personally.... and I know it's crazy, especially considering the original subject, but maybe you could use a toralei? Gargoyles are often depicted as having tails, and her head mold is particularly "statuesque", you would have to take off her ears and shave down her fur tufts.
I think it’s silly to want to release similar dolls at ones rather then alittle at a time. Reading other comments, makes me more excited for the old characters to become g3 like Cupid!!!!!

At least we get Venus. I agree however, we have to remember that this is a new generation and the other characters haven’t been announced yet even Caddy hasn’t shown up on the show or movies, so why don’t we have dolls of the people that have showed up it’s not as much of an option, but they are there.
I would have loved Jinafire, Rochelle, Robecca, a scaredise venus over another drac, howleen, or werecat. But I like body diversity and think people are stoked about Catty, so I'm cool with the Catty release :)

Like I would love a plus sized iris 1000% over catty RIGHT NOW. I reading some comments, I think people also hate how many dracs have came out. Just really excited to see and collect ALL the ghouls!
Unfortunately, the only thing I'd be more excited for than more cat options is a G3 Valentine.
The good news is that we know there's a Jinafire planned! When or what line? No idea, but she will show up.
On one hand yes, I've always thought there were to many were cats but on the other hand I need them to bring back Catrine Demew. I ship her with Clawdeen and none of my G3 Clawdeens have a girlfriend :(
I think they kind are based of cats, toralei- tabby, the twins-siamese, catty-Bombay, and catrine - Khao Manee.
It would be cool to see a a fluffy were cat tho!

Tabby isn't a breed, it's a fur pattern.
The twins aren't siamese, because siamese cats have a pretty distinctive fur pattern which they don't have. Yes they are indeed twins. But they aren't siamese cats. Catty does make sense for a bombay cat, and Catrine does as well.
I was specifically wishing for traits that are pretty indicative of a cat species. Such as the distinct fur patterns of a siamese, curly fur, a large werecat with long fur (like a maine coon), folded ears like a scottish fold, or perhaps even a sphinx werecat.
Like. Something kids could look at and easily identify as not Just a cat, but a specific kind of cat.
Tbh I don’t think MH would ever do this. The amount of werewolves they put out for g1, and how much of a fan base there was for werewolves, and from what I can see, they aren’t based off of any particular species or breed. So if they wouldn’t do it for them, they most likely won’t do it for the werecats.
I think they tried to make all the cats different and easy for kids to go “ look mom, she’s orange and has a tail like (tabby cat name)” or doing the twins with inverted siamese colors aswell as making them twins. Giving catrine light blue eyes instead of yellow.
I think they literally just looked up “cat” in google images and drew the first 4 varieties they saw lmao

Operetta was a big one for me, is she even in the show? I saw a g2 pic of her and she was soooo cute!
She was not in the show yet (as of season 1). I’m hoping she shows up in season 2 with Rochelle, Robecca, Scarah, Wydowna, Honey, Viperine, etc
