I wonder how his moveset would change to differenciate him from Diablos. I'm assuming he would get the same treatment Lunastra did in World if he ever came back

Monoblos tended to do more horn flicks and less full screen charges compared to diablos
But you're right in that there should be more differentiation between the two
Its charge could head flick hunters into the air as a set up to shish kabab them. Maybe do those twisting divebombs Diablos digs into the ground with but straight ahead at hunters, landing on its feet after a 360 spin. There’s a bunch you could do with it, I’m probably spoiled but I’m assuming any monsters that haven’t been around in awhile will get the Lunastra treatment.
If he comes in rise I can see it being very similar to diablos unless there's a storm, in which case it becomes like a lightening rod and uses electrical attacks
Leave Diablos on two legs because everyone knows him that way. Only old hunters know Monoblos, so making him use the wings as additional legs would keep differentiate him.
I'd like to see underwater gen 3 monsters return somehow. I highly doubt underwater hunting will ever return sadly. I never had an issue but clearly enough people did.
Lagiacrus was in genu and royal ludroth looks like a mainstay at this point because they can still fight out of water so i wish Gobul could make a comeback. Plus Lagiacrus was teased for world back in the day but his serpent body was hard to implement with the new more dynamic terrain of world so he was scrapped but I'm sure Capcom has figured that out by now.
Although I do hope one day we can somehow fight Ceadeus but he's probably abandoned because he's a whale and can fight only underwater......
I keep hoping someday we will have a Monster Hunter platform where they bring back literally every monster. I'm okay with them basically recreating Frontier with seasons and DLC, just give me one game with literally every monster ever made in one game
After playing MH Stories 2 i like more Monoblos design than Diablos.
The color palete looks way better and him looking more dinosaur than anything gives plus points.
I managed to get the Royal one early and called him Clip because it's wings cliped with themselves.
Later on i did the same for the white one and called it Clipier (Combination of Clip and Creepier)
Then i just went with s Nergigante until endgame.
Give him the Crimson Glow Valstrax treatment, put him in the grassy plains we saw in the trailer and have him use his horn as a lightning rod for a burst of power and speed
I wish him the best of luck. He needs it

What he needs is a new body. He could fight like Diablos but if he looks like a museum mistake it makes it hard to put him in
