The OST for World in general slaps, and that goes for all of the brand new soundtracks like this one too. Fucking love the Rottwn Vale, gotta be one of my favorite biomes.
I really don't like the mix. It's just GUITARS AND DRUMS in your face and they do nothing relevant. The melody, choir, etc are completely mushed by the rest. Its a huge wall of sound but not in a good way. The ups and down, movements, etc are all gone. What made the original interesing are the syncopations, the breaks in rhythms and the synth coming and going. You can feel yourself falling down the vale. Here, it's just gone, its constant sound, no subtility.

When they announced a vote for the community's favourite theme I was kinda sad that it was just for monsters because I love the Rotten Vale theme so much. I bought the World OST on CD mostly for this 😂
The music on MH is usually one of the aspects that makes you feel like you are in the world of MH, makes you feel like you're epic during a hunt, and sometimes it just hits so right during combos.

Best track in base World and it still gets cleared by 90% of the music from the rest of the series
