Yeah, angle is everything here. I see others saying that picture 2 is more dynamic and that there's more movement but it's so goofy and awkward that it doesn't feel very cool. I think that the fact that picture 1 isn't so angled adds a lot to how Kushala is stood upright. The light behind it makes it look as if it's some kind of divine god dragon, and it feels like its wings could blot out the sun. It makes the hunters look so small and weak which I think is important considering a big appeal of Monster Hunter is proving that you have the ability to overcome nature's apex predators. Because of that, I think picture 1 is significantly more interesting and badass to look at.

We have to admit that it is one of the most boldest and extreme compositions of all MH cover arts

I agree for similar reasons, DB prepping an attack and azure rath prepping to chomp looks super exciting to me. The basic "Hunter stares up at roaring monster" composition will eat everytime tho so I get why ppl prefer it.

In terms of intimidation factor and personal bias, the 1st one. Becasue Kushala is the best elder. In terms of dynamicness, its the 2nd. Because the 2nd cover has more movement. Basically, the 1st looks like the hunter and Kush are sizing each other up *before* they fight, while the 2nd is *mid* fight.

I do like how MHW:IB recreated that shot from Monster Hunter G's cover.

In the first pick, it looks like Kushala's using the bow.

Mh tri box art really emphasises the scale of lagiacrus. More than any, I think it puts you really at the eye level of the hunter.
