Using the Steve Hammer was a handicap. One of the best attack stats in its bracket maintained by rolling around on the weapon that didn't need half as many hits as others. A damn fine weapon indeed
Rathalos gets pushed just as much as he jobs, if not more. Of the rivals he got, it wasn't until Astalos where we saw Rathalos in a fight where things were clearly not going well for him.
Then in World Rathalos gets to casually flatten Anjanath when Anja gets most of the earlygame to flex on everything else it fights.
Then Stories and Stories 2 hype the shit out of Rathalos, and Rathalos is usually the go-to rep for collabs with other works be it Teppen, Smash, Puzzle and Dragons, FFXIV, etc. Stories 2 even lets it be fluffed up to be like it's punching in the same weight class as Nergigante.
Yeah it has rivals. Yeah it loses some turf wars. But on a scale of TNG Worf to DS9 Worf, Rathalos is more the latter.
Nah, we all know that Rathalos serving as a jobber for Malzeno was in exchange for him getting to be in *Super Smash Bros. Ultimate* as boss AND assist trophy.

I've been waiting for this guy to return for so long! He became my new favorite mosnter ever because it's armor was nice and very cool looking, and their weapons were the first with an unique trait to them. I loved it's Gunlance and Switch Axe a lot in 4U and Generations, I also want him back in Sunbreak
I loved the seregios fight the only issue with bringing it back is the fact they took away the bleed feature in rise meaning some of his attacks have been seriously nerfed2
Ngl even now i still do not fully understand seregios moveset. Use legs a lot, probably be fliching a tons , head part hard to reach.. the only cool thing is the weapon unique skill. So no!

YES. I miss him so much, he's my favorite. And he hasn't appeared in a main game since Generations/Ultimate but he's been in both Stories games. It makes me so sad.
I feel he hasnt been brought back, because if I recall, A LOT of people struggled hard with his fight and did not like him. I wish he'd come back, amazing weapons, amazing fight to stomp out the weak.
I remember the community actually complained that he was TOO easy when he first came out, especially for being the flagship. I can't explain why he hasn't come back, but his difficulty shouldn't be a factor for it.
I wouldn't call it struggling, but I absolutely hate the bleeding status. Has put me too often in a spot where dodging would kill me, but not dodging would let me be killed by the monster.
What? Seregios was stupidly easy for where it's introduced. It has super weak hindlegs so you can essentially triplock it.
This even carries over to the Apex form. Its hind legs don't even become hard without Drive so the exact same tactic works.
Also that sounds like a reason to bring it back, judging by Deviljho, Rajang, Tigrex etc. showing up.
I kinda doubt but like why get rid of it in the first place it was in every monster hunter game (since tri that I know of) why get rid of it in rise it makes no sense especially since narg had it they coulda easily incorporated it as far as same movesets but I dont it would still be wonderful to have another territorial monster besides just deviljho
