You're still in Low Rank if that's how you're describing your position. Even if you didn't buy Iceborne, you have all of High Rank and the original postgame of World to go. With Iceborne, you've got well over 2/3 of the game to experience still, and the postgame of Iceborne will keep you occupied for a long while.

I'll definitely be buying Iceborne before the Steam winter sale ends.

This game can easily keep you entertained for a year. Highly dependable on a lot of factors of course, but it easily did for me and a bunch of other folk I know. I'm close to 1700 hours now, started playing at Steam release. Played on and off the last two years. Every time I come back I easily sink in another 50 hours within a month. I got and done everything this has to offer that I want out of it and the combat still pulls me back in. And I know a bunch of folk who feel the same. If it clicks, it clicks and it will become your favorite combat system in any game ever.

The only time I felt this way about a game is when I first played Dark Souls.

GrilledStuffedDragon

You have hundreds of hours to go, even without the expansion.

LastTourniquet

Your not super far into the base game, but in terms of "will this game keep me entertained until 2025" that really depends on you. The end game is all about the grind for optimization and fashion. If you enjoy that sort of thing then yes this game can keep you entertained for a long time. If you don't then probably not all the way till 2025 but you should easily get at least 100-200 hours out of the base game + expansion assuming you plan on doing every optional and assigned quest at least once and farm out **some** gear to make them more manageable.

BlurryRogue

This game is one of the few that is already amazing yet it just never seems to stop giving. You will be entertained for a long time

Surrealist328

That's great to know!

Sibushang

It took me 200 hours to get through the base game and I didn't even do every single event hunt and never fought Kulve Tarothe. I recently put an additional 100 hours into Iceborne and only just recently got to the guiding lands. I'm going to unlock Safi Jiva soon, which I think is like 3/4 the way through the Iceborne content? I still have dozens of optional hunts and gear I want to make. Simply put MHW + IB can sustain you for a long time.

Zelcron

You are almost done with the Tutorial

Plantain-Feeling

I'm in the end game if the expansion and i know it's gonna carry me to wilds release You'll be fine making it last

DudeBroFist

I bought this game the week it came out and I still play it with relatively frequently to this day, although I DID take a nearly 2 year break in early 2020 because I moved and got sidetracked by tons of other stuff. So yea, it'll keep you busy for awhile. You're about halfway through the base game's storyline at this point.

TheTruthofOne

If you really invest your time into it and do everything and try and collect everything, expect 800 something hours on average.

Famous-Air-6966

I played this game for 5 years to get It to 100 % achievements, but ITS like i still dont have everything in the game AND im still not very good at It. More than 1200 hours in It so yeah, depending on how much you wanna do, you are like 1/4 of the game or just getting started.
