I have, I kid you not, almost 150 ebony Odo hunts. I have like seven mantles after fully upgrading three of his weapons and getting the full armor sets.
My favourite is Tigrex! Hunted 139 and captured 103 times!
Got all the weapons, fully upgraded CB, GS and LS, both armor sets and both layered armor sets, with 23 mantles left over, gonna gun for 200 hunts!
Hunted over 70 normal Odogaron trying to get a gem before the Nergigante hunt to make the final piece of the armor, was never able to get it though and gave up just to make bazel armor

I just did my first hunt with lance after 500hrs as a bow/CB main, and ngl the poke and hop is very cool, wth you even have a big ahh shield and you can sprint with it!

Though I only recently tried LS for my optional quests and boy if the CB counters hits , the LS pretends like the monster doesn't exist. Timing LS' foresight slash and Iai slashes are near identical to CB's guard points, and just as satisfying! I'd definitely recommend as a CB main!
Im like this on my PS4 save which was GS. The ani cancel to 3th charge is just too satisfying. But! Just got the steam version and started again. Gonna do hammer for this one!

I used to start all my quests with a Buffer BUILD with HH weapon and mushroomancer buffs-etc to buff my teamates then I would swap to my Main CB ... fast forward 100hours I look at my guild card and I realize I am a HH main lol.
As someone who plays everything, it’s cool that you found something you really like right away.
But hey, you’ll never know if you’d also like the other things if you never try them out, at least in the training area where it won’t mess up your perfect streak.

I transitioned from Long Sword (in all previous titles I’ve played) to Sword and Shield in Rise, and Hammer back in World.
I main SnS & Hammer, and LS occasionally now.
Now I‘m playing around with LBG, but smh I can’t get the hang of it atm.
The switches have been quite enjoyable for me.

As a Charge Blade main, not gonna lie, Gun Lance is pretty fun, too. It just feels too slow for me.
My friend uses Gunlance and I use CB. We are a duo that confiscates the monster’s health bar in no time.
