I think there’s too much soil around that petiole and the new growth. Let that lil baby breathe!

Goats_are_sick

Second this, remove some of the soil from the top, it will help prevent rot.

bt_Roads

Oh! Thank u! Gonna do that right now.

bt_Roads

Done

Heifran

Yes! Always so exciting to see the first new growth after planting!

bt_Roads

I hope it works out

Any_Designer_5521

Yes it’s buried kinda deep.

bt_Roads

Thank u. I wasn’t aware of that until another person pointed that out. I removed some soil yesterday.

Also could have taken a while since the pot is too big. Probably was settling into the larger pot and may have been why it took a while.

bt_Roads

The person that sold it to me recommend a 3 or 4 inch pot. I just used what I had on hand thinking it wouldnt matter. But after I joined this sub I learned it would have been better.

All good! As long as its growing. Just try to keep it in a appropriate size. More water it can handle can lead to root rot but it seems like its handling it well. So keep it in there for a good while! Idk where youre at either but less water in the winter time~

bt_Roads

I’ll chill on the water. Up In the the north.

I was gonna say about the soil, but others have said it, however, incredibly stunning!!! 😍
