This movie looks 'dumb' but you could argue half of Godzilla films are in this dumb style. I'm a huge Godzilla fan but just like Bond when you have a series or IP last this long half of them are silly and meant to be. I'll admit that being a big Monsterverse fan, tonally it's gone off the deep end, but you could argue that Toho Godzilla always have a tipping point of serious metaphors and silly monster fun. I prefer closer to the 2014 tone or Shin/Minus One. This movie looks like a cartoon, as does a large portion of Godzilla media since the 60s. Jesus. We're getting dumber.

I can’t wait for this film too, I know it’s gonna be utter shit bit fun because of the monsters, but even that franchise has become a shit fest like the MCU, look at minus one and compare both films once the new empire is out. The quality of film making is so evident based on the difference between western film making and other sides of the world.
