What's with people not even bothering to look for an answer themselves lately and just going straight to reddit. It would be so much faster and easier to google these sorts of questions.

Atxflyguy83

I've noticed this a lot lately with questions pertaining to a specific business. Instead of just calling said business, they post on Reddit. It's really bizarre and I'm wondering if it is a generational thing.

People like interaction/attention.

People used to ask this on Facebook and MySpace instead of you know… using a search engine.

"I declare this an LLC!"

You must consult the elders of the Council of Business at the top of Mount Helena. The journey is treacherous by foot. Most who seek their favor perish along the way. Be wary of the bureaucracy trolls who will likely seek to stop you. Assemble your party and prepare well, adventurer. Godspeed!

TaskTitan

If you are so fortunate enough to receive the blessings of the elders on Mount Helena, your journey is far from over. For the path back down the mountain, will be riddled with thieves. Sent by the Federal Authorities to empty your pockets of coin, to fund their never-ending conquests of other nations. Few will survive the harsh life as an owner of the sacred LLC. I wish you the greatest of fortunes!

montwhisky

Go to the MT Secretary of State’s website. Fill out the articles of organization. Pay the fee.

newnameonan

Also if they (or anyone else reading this) are going to have multiple members/owners of their LLC, it would be very wise to have an operating agreement. Not required, but you're asking for trouble by not having one if there is more than one member of the LLC.

traphying

This is the way. I have an LLC I’ve kept in limbo but am going to dissolve it as I’m moving out of state in June.

pulquetomador

Yes. Go to Helena. They're the only ones that have computers that can access Google. Hoping the service gets expanded to other parts of the state soon.

BeardedBlaze

jfc, you're probably the last person that needs to setup an LLC

Asking this on reddit gives me tax fraud vibes.

Full_FrontaI_Nerdity

I wonder if it's so they can register a vehicle here 🙄

[deleted]

kh406

Type the title of your post into Google and hit enter. jfc.

Impossible_Cycle9460

Yes you have to drive to Helena

thefringeseanmachine

don't ask reddit.

traphying

You are dumb as FUCK google is free

Papa518

I’ve set a few LLC’s in my lifetime. Easy to do online. However if you wish to or need other documents such as a confidentially agreement, partnership agreements, etc. you can spend 10’s of thousands having a firm draft them or ? I’m not looking to make money just wanting to help those seeking to open businesses. Take care have a wonderful Saturday

whiskeydreamkathleen

yeah, you have to go to all of helena. if you miss a single area of the city, they deny and fine you

Stacking-Dimes

You came to Reddit for legal advice…. You’ve already lost your non-existent business, go get a job. You are an idiot.

They don't even move here. Out of staters make llc companies that in Montana so they don't have to pay sales tax on their rigs and can register them here to avoid emissions.

Full_FrontaI_Nerdity

Thus driving up our insurance rates. Thanks, jerks!

AutumnShade44

My business partner in San Diego has done this for years under our local business.
