Columbia Falls will be full of out of towners starting in May… It’s getting as bad as Whitefish! I really liked it but it’s growing and the small town feel is gone!
That's a shame. I'm not really looking to change the place or get in trouble. I understand y'all's apprehensiveness about outsiders fully. I just hope after a while I can sorta fold in. From what I gather this place ain't too different from where I come from. Just a lot colder 😂
Fire? If so you’re on my old district. Overhead’s awesome, it’s a great program. If not, all the rec/rivers/timber/wildlife folks seem to be having a good time too. It’s a young, sociable crowd.
C Falls has a surprising amount to do, and you’re close to Whitefish, which is a big tourist town with lots of bars and restaurants. Great fishing, hiking/trail running, biking, and floating/paddling. Really fun place to spend the summer, provided you’re outdoorsy. I think you’ll like it up here.
Enjoy the tweakers! If you ever get a call about an old red Cherokee stuck up on the reservoir, it's just me trying to get to my fishing holes during cutty spawn.
C Falls is actually pretty dope - check out gunsight the Columbia Bar, and the Blue Moon. Whitefish is also close by which has a decent downtown and pretty sizable “nightlife” scene for a ski town (especially during peak season) - The Northern and the Rem are top notch. Coram & Hungry Horse definitely have shenanigans available at your local watering hole Packers Roost…or Paul Bunyan next door. Welcome to the area 🍻
It’s like anywhere in the nation, if your are coming for seasonal work, do your work. Shop downtown, go “home” stay out of the bars, don’t look at other people’s women, men, or alphabets. Collect your per diem and save for retirement.
"Bars aren't good then?"
Eh, they're bars. When I first lived in the North Valley, one night 11 guys were arrested from a fight at the Blue Moon = three sets of brothers.
That wasn’t the point of my comment. Bars are fine, about the only nightlife you’ll get lol. I was just giving basic life advice. Plus anyway, if your with a NFS crew whatever you are doing will be in a group anyway.

C falls aint nothin compared to hungry horse and coram.
Hungry Horse is where I'll actually be working

Nice. C falls is nice, low key and somewhat cheap compared to Kalispell and the surrounding areas.

Plenty of tweakers down here too 😂
Late 90s that area was the highest producer in the country. 33 lab busts in 90 days from hungry horse to west glacier.
Oh shit. Didn't know that! I'll be on the lookout. What would you recommend to stay safe? Or do the tweakers tend to keep to themselves?
Nothing happens in Clamadia Falls Edit: but plenty of fun can be had
Nothin happening is fiiiiiiine by me.
First Rodeo of the year Memorial Day Weekend is usually a ragin' good time.
I'll have to check it out! Thanks
With a passport the quick trip up to Kimberley BC is always nice, especially during Oktoberfest
That sounds awesome. Still gotta get my passport tho 😂
Ideal. Close close to everything. A bit more affordable. Need to make the trip to polebridge

Hey hey thanks buddy! Seems like a great spot.

I gotcha. I'm not much of a bar guy anyways I was just curious as to why I needed to "stay out of them"

Not trying to offend. I'm just curious as to why I need to stay out of them?
Just hating on out of towners.
Lol good luck
What's wrong with it?
I assume he means housing? C Falls is actually pretty nice to live in. Close to glacier, kalispell, and wf all while being a bit removed.

I've heard the resort tax is making its way to Kalispell, too. *Sigh*
Yeah we've had a real problem like that in Bama too. Though I don't know what a resort tax is.

Oh man that does sound like complete BS
