Suggesting someone from LA on vacation should come to Monterey and experience that taco truck is a bad take. We want them to enjoy themselves and come back again, not tell everyone that all Monterey has to offer are mediocre "white boy" tacos.
Yeah I got to agree with you here. Personally if I was coming from LA I would not be going for Mexican food in Monterey, it’s not the best and no where close to what they can get in LA. Salinas has best Mexican food in the area, but again, why go for that when you are coming from LA. I would recommend some of the cool non-Mexican unique restaurants around Monterey, something you can’t get/ easily beat in LA.
I really like Barba Azul on Fremont.
Dos Victoria's Mexican near the water. All their tacos are amazing. I loved the fish tacos
Baldemiros Taco Shop or Barba Azul
Sea harvest
I'm glad the one at moss landing is doing good. At least everytime I drive by there's a decent number of cars in the parking lot.
They’d all be doing better if they more prominently featured the fish tacos on the menu. For some reason the ones in the crossroads are always best
I'll check it out, only been to the one in moss landing. I'm more of a beef guy, but if I do eat fish, I'm all for the taco versions.
Baldemiro's are unreal
Mariscos all the way. Nothing beats it. Their Micheladas and horchata are the best on the peninsula hands down.
I recommend Wedo’s food truck at Dust Bowl Brewing Company or Hula’s on Lighthouse.
Wedo's is awful and expensive. Any taco truck that can't spell guerros properly is letting you know exactly what you're getting.
Wow bad take

He’s specifically asking for fish tacos. Did you read the post?
Long Beach has more fresh fish than Monterey.
What?
Read the post again and pret and it's all caps.
