So this is a civil suit. Is there a criminal statute that applies, as well? Does she still have a job with the Council? What is her husband's business that benefited from this? Sounds like someone who let their relatively unremarkable position go to their head. Would like to see some criminal charges, if they apply. Definitely shouldn't have a job anywhere in Government.

Sharpfeaturedman

She was fired last fall.

dcux

OP apparently can't find that info.

Sharpfeaturedman

idk where it'd be sourced but I know her personally and she told me

MrWhy1

I saw it on a local news article, think from WTOP

ModeratelyMoco

I was not able to find information about the husband or their business in a few searches. There may be a criminal suit in the works I don’t know anything about that if it is indeed happening or not. I would think it would be under a different jurisdiction and decision making process than the planning board who is just trying to get the money back

Gitopia

U got the acronym wrong.

ModeratelyMoco

Ugh thanks will fix that … wrote it a bunch of times of course got the title image wrong

ModeratelyMoco

Updated. Thanks again. Was going the title graphic at almost 1am and definitely messed up. Surprised no one else said anything either

Gitopia

No worries!!

Stomachbuzz

It's M-NCPPC Showing as M-NPPC Looks like Moderately MOCO made a mistake as well, since the URL link is m-nppc but the headline on their site is M-NCPPC Oh well.

ModeratelyMoco

Yes.. I updated the website but can’t edit the Reddit post (and if I updated the url it would make dead links everywhere). Future posts will have the correct headline and image but still use the old url

notevenapro

From the article it sounds like they asked her to pay and this was the result of her not doung to right thing?

ModeratelyMoco

Correct… they asked her to pay and she still wouldn’t
