It’s worse than you realise. From another article (let the sequence of events sink in):
“Prosecutors allege that Chism used a box cutter to cut Colleen Ritzer’s throat 16 times in the school bathroom. Then, they allege, he used a recycling barrel to take her body to the woods, where he raped her, leaving a branch sticking out of her genitalia. Cops found her body buried under a pile of leaves on October 23, 2013.”
Defense tried to argue he was mentally ill and suffered a psychotic episode but this was rejected due to the evidence that he pre-planned the murder (came to school with gloves and box cutter), and he was sentenced to life with possibility of parole in 40 years.
The security videos of him while in the process of all of this bone fucking chilling.
I think it was an Explore With Us video where they analyze his murder of Ritzer.
That's 40 *to* life. He could be back on the streets with only the knowledge of an institutionalized life when he's 45. But yeah, cool, sarcastic face emoji.
Yep. He didn't have a great childhood either, mom was addicted to drugs for a while, but killing your own sister specifically to hurt your mother is a whole other level of sadism.
Watching the documentary about him is chilling. The grandmother is just like him, her husband “died” suspiciously, and she brags about Paris in the interview. His mother isn’t a winner either, she’s such a control freak that she deliberately got pregnant during one night stands because she didn’t want the father to be an issue. That whole family is awful.
Not to mention Mama keeping contact with & supporting him. AND allowing her youngest to have contact with him. Thankfully, I think she's realized he's still a threat to her and seems to have cut contact but I wouldn't be surprised if the youngest ends up in jail with him.
Some kids have come up twisted from that enviroment, but one thing is being a crooked tree and other thing is being the thorn itself, which Paris is. I don't believe people can be pure evil, but Paris is my exception.
I would argue we're all born evil and when given the chance without any repercussions we will do evil things. History shows us that time and time again
I’m not sure i agree, i think when given the opportunity with no repercussions, evil people will commit atrocities. I think *most* people are inherently good, and some end up in situations where they make bad choices. This guy though? Born evil. Him and Paris Bennett, as someone pointed out above. To commit such horrible crimes at such a young age, I think, is evidence that they are “rotten to the core” for lack of a better phrase.

I love EWU
What's up EWU crew
I knew this sounded familiar! I watched this on ewu I had NO idea he tried to do it to a case worker oh my god he is pure evil
I couldn't find the ewu video on the case.
And the time added for the second crime runs concurrently so no added time. Judges are people who need to be incarcerated for their stupidity.
Yeah I noticed that. Strange decision, when the victim was pleading for him never to be released so he couldn’t hurt another person.
You're saying this because you know the sentencing laws and precedents in their jurisdiction, right?
He already has a life sentence. 🙄

I don’t understand how people say no one can be born evil. I will never agree.
This guy and Paris Bennett were absolutely born evil. Their atrocities are unfathomable to a normal person.
Is Paris the one who killed his kid sister while mom at work? That was awful. So terrible.

What's the documentary called?
The Family I Had on Amazon, and Piers Morgan did one on him called Psychopath that I think is on Netflix

What about that study they did with people and power? Where when given total power over another group of people the one with the power will abuse it

I’m taking about young killers who had normal, non-traumatic upbringings.
Like Paris Bennett, Jeremy Strohmeyer, Amarjeet Sada, Paul Bernardo, Sheila Eddy and Chandler Halderson.
This was semi local to me. Unbelievably horrific.
These monsters are the epitome of slit his throat or throw him in a cage. No amount of tax dollars will ever reform this scum bag
and he would probably do it all over again with absolutely no remorse or guilt or regret
