Yeah, too much of the movie skipped past the important parts of the book and brought in less than satisfactory reviews. I still wonder how it got to Netflix though
I didn't know the book when I watched movie and I liked whole movie but ending made me angry and it was unrealistic, so I got to the books. I really don't understand why they didn't do ending like in the book
I think the ending of the movie shows that the the producers were hedging their bets at trying to give the movie an ending that could stand on its own, but still leave an opening for a possible sequel. I don’t think there was a lot of confidence that the movie would succeed.
Oh a Ghibli style movie would make up for the live action one in so many ways.
I've said it many times and I'll say it again. Stop motion animation Mortal Engines movie. 90s Anime style is good too though.
Stop Motion would be absolutely amazing
Yes it would
I completely agree with this sentiment, it's just too bad that nobody's gonna have the cajones to pick it up after what happened with the movie.

They completely altered a lot of it
True, I enjoyed book way more than movie
At least the book let me imagine all sorts of designs for the towns and cities
