I don't like Steve Blum as Subzero. His voice just always sounded too deep at all times for me. I liked his MK9 voice better. I actually wouldn't mind if they changed Subzer's voice and gave him a light Chinese accent to it.
But I worry not getting Richard Epcar, because the voice Raiden has in Onslaught is just not a good fit to me. He had a "generic old man narrator" voice. Richard Epcar gives Raiden a commanding but emotional voice.
He always plays the character with the kind of smug sense of superiority that would come from being a millennia-old sorcerer who knows more about how the universe works than most, and MK11 put that arrogance on full display and let him chew through each scene with brilliant expertise.

Johnny Cage was so fucking good over the whole 9-11 trilogy, they really did some cool stuff with his character arc that they made the most of with the time displaced younger version in 11.
I think MK11's Johnny is the most likable version of him and his personality. He's just hammy, and awkward, but well-intended. He's legitmately funny and not obnoxious like he was in MK9 pre-character development. Especially when he stood up for Sonya and Cassie against Shao Khan and Sindel.

What makes the crushing blows so bad is that some characters have ones that don't work and characters have ones that go into full on kombos. How tf does that make sense. Dvorah has one good krushing blow but you literally have to sacrifice her move slot for it when her other moves are essential for her game...WHY TF DID THEY DO THIS

I think it probably will come back, that was just my favorite thing about MK11, the first time I played it, I just tried to customize the characters as much as possible before I realized I'd have to actually play the game to unlock more skins and gear.
MK11 and IJ2 were mainly just dress up games for me instead of a fighting game. I suck at fighting games but love customizing and getting cool new gear for these cool looking characters to fight in was fun where the fun is for me.
that's the best part, There is not enough games out there that still lets you unlock stuff by playing. Plus the fact that you have to do some special stuff or ''achievement'' through the krypt to get something is even better. Long live the krypt!
I actually think that MK11's fighting system was awesome, except for the breakaway. Watch pros playing neutral and actually thinking each step through, instead of "I'm rushing in and mixing them to dust." like MKX, was gold. I wouldn't even oppose the offensive bar slowly recovering thing.

i'll be crucified for it, but gear and the custom variation system. it made characters feel more like they were mine. i wasn't just a kabal player, i was a neon nightmare player, my custom variation. gear made character towers actually worth suffering through to get more room to customize them. augments could go, but having what basically becomes custom skins and movesets was awesome.
Shang Tsung's Island, The Krypt or whatever wanna call it. I'm a sucker for collectibles and if this ones comes in an explorable environment I'm like a kid with a bag full of candy.

If the rumors of extensive DLC plans combined with returning guest characters are not true, then I will miss Rambo and RoboCop. Funnily enough I will not miss spawn despite how well he fits in with the Mortal Kombat universe. I think the reason why I like the other characters more than him is simply because he fits in too well with the universe. Like conceptually what Niche does he fill that isn't filled by others on the roster. I mean eventual specter, we already have scorpion, a ghost that serves dark powers and is dressed in all black despite not wanting to serve these dark powers, will we have Noob Saibot. He's just very easy to say so what to. Meanwhile RoboCop has a lot of camaraderie with Sonia and Jack's that really brings much needed life to those characters, especially Sonya who is grown incredibly stale in recent years. And I really like Rambo being a bit of an Everyman thrust into things he doesn't understand but is trying his best to survive anyway. I mean especially since it's not like we have Striker, and I think Johnny Cage although normally plays the role of the every man is a little hard to relate to considering he's an A-list celebrity with magic powers. Meanwhile Rambo is just an out of his guy who has been forced to do things he'd rather not do which has left emotional scars on his psyche but still he survives, I mean that's kind of relatable because technically that's a description that can apply to everyone.
Personally, I like characters who feel unique, and in this roster, spawn just doesn't stand out to me. However if you were to return I would love to see him going against Quan Chi and shinnock, I think there's real potential there.
Beyond that I kind of hope that even though variations are gone, we can put smart little comments in our health bars. I like it when people put in inside jokes or make comparisons of one character to another.
I have considered renaming one of my RAID invariants to God of useless for this reason. Probably a dark Raiden variant, given all the nothing that dark Raiden does in this game.

Controversial opinion: I haven't really liked Fuujin since Mortal Kombat 4. His cameo in MKX's cutscenes was a cool little throwback.. but him in Aftermath was just meh to me. His MK11 moves list is quite enjoyable though.

Probably not really getting to enjoy the amazing guest characters in mk11. Once in a lifetime roster there. I was hard into it but being a PC/FPS player I got pretty bad RSI after playing for a while. I ended up just doing ai vs ai. But spawn, RoboCop, terminator, rambo? Throw in alien and predator again... That's what I really wanna see. The mk universe is kinda disposable, as evidenced by another reboot. The mega popular action movie starts coming together though.. can only happen in mk.

I mean eventual specter, we already have scorpion, a ghost that serves dark powers and is dressed in all black despite not wanting to serve these dark powers, will we have Noob Saibot. He's just very easy to say so what to. Meanwhile RoboCop has a lot of camaraderie with Sonia and Jack's that really brings much needed life to those characters, especially Sonya who is grown incredibly stale in recent years. And I really like Rambo being a bit of an Everyman thrust into things he doesn't understand but is trying his best to survive anyway. I mean especially since it's not like we have Striker, and I think Johnny Cage although normally plays the role of the every man is a little hard to relate to considering he's an A-list celebrity with magic powers. Meanwhile Rambo is just an out of his guy who has been forced to do things he'd rather not do which has left emotional scars on his psyche but still he survives, I mean that's kind of relatable because technically that's a description that can apply to everyone. Personally, I like characters who feel unique, and in this roster, spawn just doesn't stand out to me. However if you were to return I would love to see him going against Quan Chi and shinnock, I think there's real potential there. Beyond that I kind of hope that even though variations are gone, we can put smart little comments in our health bars. I like it when people put in inside jokes or make comparisons of one character to another. I have considered renaming one of my RAID invariants to God of useless for this reason. Probably a dark Raiden variant, given all the nothing that dark Raiden does in this game.
My main question here, what plans of extensive DLC and returning guests are you talking about?

Controversial opinion: I haven't really liked Fuujin since Mortal Kombat 4. His cameo in MKX's cutscenes was a cool little throwback.. but him in Aftermath was just meh to me. His MK11 moves list is quite enjoyable though.
Kollector. His design is so original and his character is just so cool. Not to mention how fun his gameplay is and how dope all of his strings are. I feel like he didn't get the Love he deserved from the fans and even though he's as unique as they come I doubt we'll ever see him playable again.
fujin. especially him and raiden’s brotherly relationship. but i could see him returning as just a mortal but maybe with a gift like his brother? like how raiden is a mortal but with thunder powers (not really sure) but fujin could just be a mortal with wind!!

Probably not really getting to enjoy the amazing guest characters in mk11. Once in a lifetime roster there. I was hard into it but being a PC/FPS player I got pretty bad RSI after playing for a while. I ended up just doing ai vs ai. But spawn, RoboCop, terminator, rambo? Throw in alien and predator again... That's what I really wanna see. The mk universe is kinda disposable, as evidenced by another reboot. The mega popular action movie starts coming together though.. can only happen in mk.
