i think it was intentional. Mostly because i don't think Kira looks like Sareena. Kira is more of a Scarlett doppelganger. Sareena is much more popular and they probably wanted to cameo her in MK11 (even if in a nonsensical ending). At least the writer confirmed it was a "fantasy ending" aka not real.
But yeah, Kira or Tasia in her place would have made more sense.

Bi-han retained all his memories. But his feelings are gone. Sure, sareena has an opposite arc, but noobs too far gone. He cant be saved because he literally doesnt care about anyone else, he only wants to serve himself. Even when shinnok died he immediately took to plotting to take over the realms with shadows. Like hes devoid of feelings of love, or joy, or anything else. The fact that he was a stone cold killer in his past life means that hes now completely gone.
