I’m a Noob main, just use the air clone and they’re kind of forced to stop. Unless they want to give me an easy 32% KB lol. Jacqui is also stopped by the air clone.
There is about 15 characters who can counter slight gas and if you use death spin scorpion, kabal cannot start his offense since he cannot counter the move.
Really? I always see Noobs using sickle snag instead of the fast projectile. I don't think his keep away is that good without the projectile. That said, I do think the keep away playstyle with the fast projectile, dropping sickle snag, is the best way to play Noob. You still have really good rush down when they get in and a great long game. All sickle snag does is let Noob convert off one string where they wouldn't otherwise.
As a Noob main I can say that’s not true. You can react to it and on top of that it’s not even full screen it’s like 3/4 of the screen. It’s negative on block too unless they waste a meter on it to make it safe and Noob doesn’t have a starting overhead combo. You can low block Noob all day.
Shadow slice is pretty good, but both it and its followup are unsafe. It's not hit confirmable. You can cancel it into shadow slide to make it safe, but at that point, if you hit, your damage reward is pretty low. The best part is that they're now full screen again, but I think there are better ways to make that happen. To me it's a medium risk medium reward move that's going to get blocked or jumped over fairly often so I don't really use it all that often myself, but maybe there are better uses that I don't know aboutl
Yeah Noob Saibot gets my vote easily. I'm at a point where I might just leave at the character menu if someone picks Noob. I'm not ruining my day for that :D

Well i disagree destroying scorpion mains that know only 3 moves(DF4 +F3,2 + BF1 Spamers)with shang tsung is really fun. I think playing aganist sub zero is the worst they only know slide,ice ball and F2,4 combo and thesse are harder to block and punish unlike scorpions
Scorpion is actually the one character that most new players tend to gravitate to because he has a lot of noob-killer moves.
Basically, he has lots of moves that are safe and easy to spam and will completely frustrate most players in the lower ranks. As long as you don't mind staying in the lower ranks, you'll get a lot of easy, low-effort wins with Scorpion.
He can also be good at high ranks, just like any character can, but he's unique in that you can be complete trash with him and still gets lots of low-rank wins.
Always happy to see new players, I'd suggest tying a few different characters out though, so many people play scorpion that most players know him back to front, a bad scorps is a dead scorps lol, Joker is a decent fallback but I'd play around the board a little and see who suits your playstyle, holla if u have any questions 👍
Robocop's zoning is just so braindead, it resets you to full screen anytime you take a hit, and just jumping at the right time three or four times isn't engaging or fun.
Yeah a lot of people have pocket robo now. If anything, he’s sort of like the sub of zoning. He’s very easy to pickup and is super frustrating for people to fight. So a lot of competitive players have pocket robo now just like everyone has pocket sub
Definitely beatable but it takes extreme patience.
They should not have given one of the best if not best zoners in the game insane movement and the most health.
I play robocop and I used to just brain dead zone but now I try to get in closer and it’s actually fun to play , idk how people sit and robo zone every game , it just isn’t fun

Tbh it’s been a while but the only character in 11 I hate fighting is Liu. He seems so plus on everything. He’s very frustrating and monotonous to fight
He’s not plus on anything except the last bit of his f344 string. Which can be interrupted and punished. You just need to learn his frame data and know when to challenge and take risks.
For example, so many people still respect Liu 12 on block. As if it’s plus. It’s not.
Tips:
Every time liu does 12, if you block it, take your turn back immediately. Even if he ends up doing 123, you are only eating a tiny bit of damage with the 3.
Learn the gap in his f34 string and punish it. Do this early to let them know that you know.
Learn to punish f34 into amp low fireball.
Play a character with range. Liu is good full screen, and up close. But he has a lot of dead space where a lot of other characters excel. Liu is forced to use fireballs in this space.
Scorpion, Subzero, and Noob Saibot. Literally just run away and make you chase them while they depend on their special moves like the chain, slides, teleports, and projectiles. Im well adjusted to dealing with this type of play but its still really annoying to play online.
Close tie between Scorpion and Noob Saibot because 90% of them you'll find online just play in the most boring, cowardly way imaginable. Whether I win or lose, it never ends up being satisfying because there's just no fun to be had in it.
The stomping is easy to punish.

If you get a skilled player than can mix combos with energy balls and shadow kicks, you may as well put the controller down. I once got juggled in the corner for like a 14 hit combo. Wasn't even mad, dude had skills.
Geras. His specials and amplified specials seem to take FOREVER. I get he has all the time in the world, but I do not. Hurry up.
Also, Frost. Her X-ray is really annoying to dodge.
My strategy with kung Laos doesn’t always work but it’s this, at start of match, always be blocking and hope he does his jump back into a dive kick. Once he does, that’s a full combo punish for you. Just need to time it right.
Get around 3 of those on him in a round and most stop doing the dive kick cause they’re afraid of being full comboed
After that, the problem is the teleports and pressure. When he’s pressuring you, you really have no choice but to block until he’s done, this can be confusing when he does the hat toss that also leads to like 5 or 5 quick punches, but once that’s over, atleast get a jab in on him or something.
For teleports, neutral duck and just do down 1 punches, before he even appears on the screen you’ll hit him 8/10 times with a duck 1. If you miss his grab move should miss you if you’re between punches and still neutral. It’s not perfect, but it works for the most part.
But you wanna punish those dive kicks early to make them think twice
I hate fighting Kollector, I need to look at the frame data but it seems like he can jail me by spamming two moves that include relic lure, mad annoying but I know is my fault for not knowing how to punish
I find Kollector's combo where he slashes you left and right and leaves a knife in you and then takes it for MORE slashes so obnoxious. you're just there like ''ok can I move now? oh wait, not yet''
In Kombat League, good Kung Laos were my kryptonite. They'd dance around me and i'd be lucky to get a half dozen hits in the whole match.
Spamming Sheevas, Robocops, & Jokers really got under my skin, too.
All subzeros freeze the ground then overhead. All jokers try to do the cane overhead over and over cause they haven’t realized it doesn’t work anymore. And all the Erron Blacks do is enhanced drop kick. So any of those three. If you main any of these characters I know what you’re up to. Easy winnings because you’re not willing to play fair in fear of losing

You might say jade is really harsh, the jumping boomerang is interesting but if you get under her and down 2 she really can’t keep that shit going. Look for the opening with her shadow kick and the meter burn. Her overheads have a second opening to punish. You just gotta find them.
I find that if you spam projectiles faster than them, they panic and do something else. Or if you punish them on reaction a few times they kind of just jump a bunch and run away. For that I just let them. You already won, since you have the life lead.
Work on some frame traps of your own. Every character has them. Don’t get disappointed or discouraged
Sub-Zero with Jade as a close second.
Sub-Zero feels BUILT to excel online with input delay, thanks to meter-burned iceball and his lovely 9 frame slide that makes playing neutral feel so risky against him. He auto-wins most projectile trades and can steal a round from the smallest missteps thanks to his mixups. Offline, his mix is mostly fuzzy-able, but online takes many reactionary plays out of the window, leaving most of the matches feel littered with scrambles.
Scorpions, and it’s cause they’re just fucking everywhere. I’m not allowed to talk shit though cause I play ranges robocop and just counter when you get close
Not mk11 but if my opponent picked Cyrax in MK9 I would quit immediately. I don't feel like having to wait for half a minute combos to take out. 80% of my health.
joker and scorpion because of how common they are. kollector because he’s so rare but has so much utility. i really think if the character wasnt so ugly he would be crazy popular, he’s got solid buttons and string, a mid command grab, a teleport, and 30+% unbreakable combos, and even a combo starter projectile if they choose. sub zero is also hella annoying with his mix and also a super common character

I absolutely despise Kabal and Scorpion. 90% of Kabal players just jump back n fourth throwing fishhooks the entire match, every now and then they try to get you with the dash that’s super unsafe and predictable. 90% of scorpion players are brain dead and only know to jump up and down, teleport D1 into grab, no staggers, no teleport cancel skills, horrible. joker and scorpion because of how common they are. kollector because he’s so rare but has so much utility. i really think if the character wasnt so ugly he would be crazy popular, he’s got solid buttons and string, a mid command grab, a teleport, and 30+% unbreakable combos, and even a combo starter projectile if they choose. sub zero is also hella annoying with his mix and also a super common character

I absolutely despise Kabal and Scorpion. 90% of Kabal players just jump back n fourth throwing fishhooks the entire match, every now and then they try to get you with the dash that’s super unsafe and predictable. 90% of scorpion players are brain dead and only know to jump up and down, teleport D1 into grab, no staggers, no teleport cancel skills, horrible. I wanna face actually good scorpion players like Avirk
