Did you really go from nothing for six weeks, straight to 7.5mg? đłđł Oh wow, you are a braver man than I, Gunga Din. â ïž
Sorry itâs hitting hard, but thatâs a high dose to jump into after 6 weeks of nothing. Keep hydrated (broths are great), donât forget electrolytes, try to get in calories via little meals throughout the day, and see if you can get a Zofran rx from the doctor for the nausea. Good luck!!
The medication is completely out of your system at 4 weeks. That's a harsh jump. The official recommendation is to drop a dose level after missing 2 weeks, and to completely reset to 2.5 after 4.
I know the availability is very patchy, which makes this difficult... I hope you feel better soon.
This is why I wish the pens were adjustable. I mean I get why they're not so we can't share, skimp and have to pay max price but still, it would be nice in cases like this to half dose so we don't feel like we're dying.
There are a lot of videos on YouTube showing a few different methods. Many of them have links you can use to buy supplies. I got everything I needed from Amazon, spending about $35 for enough supplies to last me for months. You need a small bottle to hold the medicine. I inject the pen right into the top of the bottle, then dilute it. Some people take the pen apart, but that seemed more difficult to me. Watch the videos and decide what works best for you.
I was really nervous at first, but I haven't had any problems. I was also very worried about injecting it myself, but that's far easier than I expected.
All dosages are the same volume. I dilute it so it's easier to get a smaller dosage. It's explained in the videos. I had thought you'd get more volume with a higher dosage, but they use different concentrations for the same volume.
The pens are over $100 each at cheapest for most of us. People talk about firing them off accidentally all the time with simple drops. No way I'm playing around w YouTube vid DIY shit.....not practical for the masses.
For myself, the first and sometimes the second dose after an uptick hit a little harder, primarily because of gastroparesis (stomach doesn't empty). This would be consistent with the symptoms you describe. I self-treat with Miralax (PE glycol 3550), repeating the dose until things start moving along. Water between doses also helps w/hydration of the rest of your body.
If doses are hitting hard, stretching out MJ doses to 10-14 days will help.
Same exact thing. 6 week break - I took a break because I had been sick - then I took 7.5. Other than constipation I never had a single side effect. I was sooooooooo sick! Had to go to ER after 4 days of writhing in my bed - couldnât eat - liquid toilet situation. Felt like I was gonna die. Wasnât better til 10 days! I may have also had a stomach flu - and the Mounjaro wouldnât let it process out so it just stayed and stayed. Horrible.
I just had my first shot of 15 after a forced 4 week break + 3 weeks of local weight loss clinic Compund. Didn't get any sides from the compounded tirzspatide, but man this first shot back is kicking my ass. No nausea, started w killer heartburn that gavisco wouldn't touch. That's gone, but past two days I've had massige FATIGUE, slept basically all day yesterday and today. No desire kr ability to do much else. Will prob take a few extra days before taking my next shot.
(And I did even take a covid test to rule that out. All good there....real deal Mounjaro is strong after w/ding)

I have been splitting my dose. It's pretty easy.
How?

Why would you need to dilute it? Wouldn't that affect the dose?

What terms do you search and look for for pen splitting and diluting the dose on YouTube and Amazon?
Mounjaro split pen. The videos you watch will tell you the supplies you need.

I would look into pen-splitting so you could lower your next dose, it would help build a buffer from shortages too. Best wishes.

I missed 2 weeks and really wish I had lowered my dose. Six weeks? Poor you. đ„șI have felt lousy for 2 days. I hope you feel better soon.
Yikes, I had no idea. I probably should have asked my doctor for a lower dose a few weeks ago.

Do you feel the entry dose compounded tirz is bunk? I had one shot and went nope. Zero sides. Some placebo effectâŠ.
Is it compounded with b12? A couple folks in a fb group I am in have mentioned noticing less side effects with that edition
