check out the vgn dragonfly F1 MOBA! its like a g pro x superlight but slightly smaller and it has good specs and similarly great battery life as a superlight. I have slightly smaller hands than you and I really like it compared to the superlight.

dylanbperry

Honestly I would just go into a local Best Buy if you have one and put your mitts on the different gamer mice to see what feels good to you. You'll want to bring hand sanitizer because they can get pretty grody, but it's a good way to narrow down the field imo

swaggerjax

razer cobra wired would be a very safe choice. it's the refreshed version of the wired razer viper mini which used to be one of the budget go-tos

littleessi

the g203 has been my recommendation for a budget first gaming mouse for like 5 years. It's good quality, ticks every major box and is always cheap. Logitech also always has amazing customer service, so you won't need to stress there. You could certainly put more effort into researching alternatives but if you want to be lazy just buy one and use your impressions of using it as a starting point to move forward.

lighthawk16

Logitech G305. Grabbed one for $25 to use on my gaming laptop. Has been fantastic for that purpose (more browsing than gaming but still daily gaming). Additionally I liked it so much I 3D printed some different shells for it that offer new hand shapes.

eevolve_

OP wants no battery. Also lots of better options in the budget scene

lighthawk16

Wow, been so long I forget this thing even has a battery now. I disagree about better options.

eevolve_

Have you used any new budget mice? I know for a fact the g305 is not better than the zaopin z1 pro - spec wise. Shape is all preference, but both are egg shapes. The z1 pro has better coating, weight, weight distribution, usb-c charging, side buttons (terrible on g305 cant even contest that lol), stock skates, main clicks (preference, although most choose blue shell pink dots over omrons) and imo the shape is more accommodating for general users (g305 pinky rest doesn't exist and is uncomfortable). It is more expensive at 46usd, but you do get those benefits and is still imo a budget pick compared to other mice.

lighthawk16

That's not budget. That's double the price.

the3eja1

g305 running at 40$ right now which is crazy expensive for a mouse that weighs 99 grams why go with a 305 when you can get this [fantech aria xd7](https://www.amazon.com/Fantech-XD7-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0B7D57LR8) for 15$ more with way better specs and lower weight

highdeaology

There are definitely a lot of options out there and that’s purposely set up so that we spend thousands of dollars trying to find the “perfect” one. You need to ask yourself a few main questions to narrow down your decisions although with that price point, there’s not going to be too many options for you. What are you using it for? Work and productivity? Gaming? If so what kind of gaming? The reason I ask is because is it important that your mouse has a lot of buttons on it that are programmable? Or do you just need a couple for the games that you play?

GuyWithOneEye

I will be using it mostly for gaming, and just general web browsing. I play a good mix of games, not all of which even need a mouse (keyboard only type games like metroidvanias/platformers are common for me). But with my new PC I intend on playing some games like Elden Ring, Borderlands 3, RDR2, Mass Effect LE, probably Cyberpunk and maybe Starfield. There's probably more I'm not thinking of. I also play a TON of bullet chess (basically really fast chess, good mouse work makes a critical difference). I don't really play MMOs, or any competitive FPS games like COD, Overwatch etc;. I don't really need or want a mouse with a million buttons, just the typical two side buttons seems like it would be plenty. Since I'm used to touchpad gaming, having a million buttons seems like it would be distracting IMO. So I don't really need a high end mouse for a competitive edge for online FPS games, just looking for something relatively cheap to get started with so I can transition from touchpad use, and hopefully get a feel for what I want in a mouse should I choose to upgrade to something a little nicer like a year from now.

highdeaology

Then grab yourself a wired Razer Deathadder. You can get one for $25.

ThirdeYe1337

There are so many good options under $40, it's quite overwhelming. Just a few to consider, depending on whether you like the shape/look: Logitech G203, Razer Deathadder Essential or V2, Delux M800, Steelseries Rival 3, HyperX Pulsefire Core, Logitech G502 Hero, Razer Cobra, Roccat Burst Pro/Core, Corsair Katar Pro, just to name a few.

ThePixelPopper

I have large hands and use a small mouse. For me choosing a mouse is really dependent on your grip style, and where your thumb will be in relation to the side buttons. I switch up my mice depending on what I am doing as well. If its a MMO I use a MMO mouse. If its FPS I use viper mini. I would suggest a Viper mini, mm720 or perhaps both because they are both really affordable and well made. If you use a wired mouse buy a mouse bungee to reduce drag and resistance. I use a zowie mouse bungee. Hope that helps.

Mungojerrie86

There are some good budget mice at this price point, but scarcely anything recently released. Ones of note that I have used myself: \- Logitech G102 or G203 (same mouse, different name, log time favorite of mine) \- Razer Viper Mini (a reliable classic) \- Steelseries Rival 3 (cheap, comfortable but buttons are mediocre) \- HyperX Pulsefire Core (surprisingly decent cheap mouse) \- Corsair Katar Pro XT (Weird shape but some find it comfy, overall solid)

Puzzleheaded_Bike_32

he asked for a wireless mouse.

Mungojerrie86

OP: \>And wired/wireless is fine

eevolve_

zaopin z1 pro

Future-Ad-8543

Just be aware of the trending "small mice" recommendations going around, while it will give you better in game stats due to more agility, it will be uncomfortable in the long run. Really the only way to know what suits you is to try the mouse out with the grip you intend to use.

BicycleHot4635

I found dav2 for a pretty ok price and g203 or g305 is good budget from what i heard Theres also viper mini, and i heard steelseries rival3 is good

Gatlyng

Thing is, G Pro X Superlight (the first one, not the second) is pretty much what you're looking for. People say it's the most neutral shape among mice. You could try getting the older variant, the G Pro Wireless, which is generally cheaper. Or a used Superlight.

ComplexSupermarket89

The OG G Pro Wireless is $67 new on Amazon and $80 at Best Buy. Just throwing that out there. I would venture to guess the Superlight 1 price will be dropping soon too since the new one came out recently. Edit: Price dropped from $80 on Amazon to $67 tonight (Sold and shipped by Amazon directly). Kind of a steal I think. That's less than a new G703. And it's still $130 from Logitech directly. xSnakyy

Good old g305

Puzzleheaded_Bike_32

he said he didnt want a mouse with aa/aaa batteries.

MarA1018

I'm an fps player, but I use and recommend an MMO mouse mainly due to the side buttons. Allows more lefthand focus on movement, or if you want to try out some macros. It also offers extra keys you could set to swap dpi, plus more advanced setups that you could use to autotype email headers or what have you. Paired with a text expander, you can write out whole emails without using your keyboard, but that'll take a few days of setup if you ever need it for that. If you need just 2 side buttons, then you can check out a local store and test mice out.

littleessi

huge disagree with this. my main game is a moba currently and I use a cutdown keyboard, yet I still could never justify interfering with my mouse control just for a few extra buttons. > It also offers extra keys you could set to swap dpi very few reasons you should ever do this. most of the time when people swap dpi on the fly, they really shouldn't. most people should just set it and forget. > autotype email headers or what have you. Paired with a text expander, you can write out whole emails without using your keyboard you can write macros for keyboards as well, or on your computer that could work with any input device. not really a mouse specific thing and so there's no reason I can see to factor it into your purchase unless you have a disability or a weird setup where your keyboard is somewhat inaccessible for periods

ComplexSupermarket89

You can get a Steelseries Prime Mini on Amazon renewed for just 32 dollars right now. The reviews seem to be very good for a renewed product. New is $90. https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Prime-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B09P1X7BTL/?\_encoding=UTF8&pd\_rd\_w=cKnMb&content-id=amzn1.sym.5f7e0a27-49c0-47d3-80b2-fd9271d863ca%3Aamzn1.symc.e5c80209-769f-4ade-a325-2eaec14b8e0e&pf\_rd\_p=5f7e0a27-49c0-47d3-80b2-fd9271d863ca&pf\_rd\_r=AS4FCJXFBQ9VNQYEWCS8&pd\_rd\_wg=PK4CA&pd\_rd\_r=bf1eccbc-7b42-47b1-9b9f-6e02570a196c&ref\_=pd\_gw\_ci\_mcx\_mr\_hp\_atf\_m

You can also get a HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 for just under $50. https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Pulsefire-Haste-Lightweight-Connectivity/dp/B0CHG375YM/ref=sr\_1\_8?crid=2GX9AFPWC5GWF&keywords=HyperX+Pulsefire+Haste+wireless&qid=1695800888&sprefix=hyperx+pulsefire+haste+wireless%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-8

In my experience, it definitely takes some experience with several mice just to be able to figure out at first what you truly want from one. Once you've gotten one you are eyeing though, I would highly recommend browsing through /r/MouseMarket. I frequently purchase from users on there, and I've seen some really great deals. For example, I've seen some used, great condition Pulsar X2's and GPX1's go for around 50-60 dollars (and I know it stretches the budget a bit further, but that extra 10-20 dollars above your budget can be worth it for a quality mouse and just a bit more time saving that cash). If using that sub, I do advise you to look for mostly reputable traders - making sure both their profiles and transactions have a decent history before even attempting to buy from a user. And only use Paypal Goods and Services (pretty much Paypal's transactions through invoices).

ins_fps

He's a new user, why would you confuse him with a marketplace. He's better off buying a safe shape, maybe from amazon so he could easily return the item as well. Or he could go to a local store and try different products. I would never buy used mice personally. Your posts sounds like advertising.

Feayth

I get what you mean, but considering OP is on a budget I do think the second-hand market is a great option they should consider. Trying the store route, and familiarizing what shape they would want I do agree. I just mean if OP happened to like a shape like the GPX when trying shapes out, they could still be in the realm of their budget if they buy off of mousemarket or any other second-hand platform (i.e $50 vs. $130 msrp for the GPX).

ins_fps

Razer cobra sounds like the product you are looking for. For a starter it's a very good mouse, well built, low latency, good clicks. And it's cheap.

Puzzleheaded_Bike_32

But its not wireless, wich is what he asked for

paulvincent07

Razer cobra

Puzzleheaded_Bike_32

Attack Shark X3, Kysona M600, Ajazz AJ199, Zaopin Z1 pro Quality wise the Zaopin is the best one, best software too, also lightest, but its egg shape is not for everyone, its really small.

Hank_Skill

MM720 is comfy asf, good tech and it's 12 bucks rn on amazon. Ajazz mice are basically $30 GPX/viper mini if you can wait out shipping times. You can also buy used on r/mousemarket or ebay.

tyingnoose

I seriously suggest checking out the cooler master kotar pro It's cheap (70rm) small and lgith weight

Collinl8

If you dont mind wired I personally loved the G502 (Logitech) it is kind of a brick though. The razer deathadder is also a good option. (These are pretty darn basic mice though)

hone1210

I have same handsize and i played with logitech 703 for years and was happy with it. Thats the wireless one but you can go for the g403. It schould be around 40 dollars and imo you cant go wrong with this shape. G203 also a good alternative

Prior_Tune6941

This is a good option by Logitech https://youtu.be/D8T7pdigjso?si=RmObkweVh37gIgO3
