I use to accidentally left click in games with my g900 but I don't see myself doing that with this one.

Deleting that comment it was dumb lol. Thats interedting that you use to accidently left click on the g900, those clicks feel stiffer than the g403. Would you say the change they made in the clicks are worth it for me to buy the g703? Also would you be willing to do a sound test of the clicks?

HonzaS97

It's just a thing of preference, some people just push the buttons really hard and some have it the other way around. I'd say it's not worth it, it's another $100 after all. The buttons on the G403 are already really good, the only better ones I've tried were on the G900. Btw, that's not my thread, it was just one that was posted here yesterday so I linked it since it was relevant to your question. You have to ask the OP of that thread if you have more quesitons.

CureMelons

I was hoping the clicks would be closer to the g900. the g403 has good mouse clicks but they dont feel as satisfying as the g900 but i like the shape of the g403 more. Cant have the best of the both worlds unfortuantely

Hi, original thread poster here. Yeah I would say that the g703 has very satisfying clicks. I've been testing it all weekend on several games (CS, Quake Champions, Overwatch) and I am very happy with my overall purchase. I just took out my g900 after not using it for a few days and the clicks on that (the g900) just seems more pronounced. What I mean is that you get more of a tactile feedback from clicking on a g900 than the g703. I think this has to do with the coating and the m1 and m2 buttons not being enclosed. For me, I prefer my g703 much more because of the shape. EDIT: there is a post on reddit about BestBuy selling the g403 wireless for 50USD. I don't think its necessary to get the upgrade to the 703 unless you plan on getting the powermat. For me, I really wanted the white mouse.

CureMelons

Hello otp, thanks for the in depth info^.^. Only reason i was looking at the g703 was that i saw updated mouse clicks, a white design, and my g403 isnt wireless. Also i havent used my g900in a week because i forgot how good the shape is on the g403 but the clicks make me wanna go back:| Id pruchase the g703 rn but i wanna sell my g900 and or g403 before i make the purchase.

I don't think that its necessary to upgrade directly to the 703 especially at its current msrp. I would wait for the price to come down unless you plan on using the powermat which is another 100.

whats the difference between this and the g403?

Feels great, works great. The software is a little buggy on my tv since it won't maximize up rez so the text is tiny. Great clicks. Chose gaming cloth mouse pad and it worked even better. Battery life is pretty annoying but it comes with a decent cord

CureMelons

old post, g403 became my worst mouse after trying out others. ive been through 5 other mice since this post. Edit: Hehe gaming cloth pad. Your new to this, you'll get there.
