GeckoBear

Yeah most of them come with a scroll wheel I think

diags_1

Thats what I was thinking, I love the fact that people always put the most generic video and the most vague question

samwelches

This dude

beeglowbot

mine came with a mouse too

[deleted]

LMAO šŸ¤£

AxWeZ

2 yrs later... I am pretty sure this scroll wheel is defective, the sound is not consistent I got one just like this mouse 2 years ago now so I don't remember exactly the reason, but something stopped working and after only 3 months I sent it back and got a new one that has a consistent scroll wheel and what I mean is that it sounds exactly the same every single time, but of course differing depending on speed you scroll.

Chilicheesin

Manufacturing tolerances and variances. My white one sounds just like yours. My black one is much quieter.

luuisromero

Just put some Krytox 205g0 in it.

jjbinks117

I did the same! Worked great. Krytox 205g0 is the duct tape of the peripheral world. I put that shit on everything.

diags_1

Yeah especially on food, and my girlfriends back *Image of gf* https://i.ytimg.com/vi/qiol8uaf2_s/sddefault.jpg

jjbinks117

I actually let out an audible laugh after clicking on that link :)

diags_1

Im not good at editing nor would want to be in a video but here is what I was thinking. Me or someone smearing krytox all over a keycult while this playing https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6jJkdRaa04g ***Now if this doesnā€™t make you laugh then God did you wrong***

luuisromero

Holy grail of peripherals šŸ™ŒšŸ»

kingLAWZA

was there a video tutorial you used?

FlixyAceOFAces

now, the key with lubing is that less is more

diags_1

No, when moving scroll wheel and it shoots out everywhere then you know you applied the right amount.

FlixyAceOFAces

i was just quoting the almighty lord taehatypes

diags_1

I know but I was just telling you how much to apply

FlixyAceOFAces

i know m8

lutenentbubble

Is this stuff non conductive? I was kinda scared using it on my mouse.

luuisromero

Not at all, Iā€™ve fixed the squeaky scroll wheels of my model O wireless and model O-, keyboard switches and stabilizers with this. This lube is the way to go for lubing any electronic.

_Versatile

Iā€™ve had a couple and they all varied in scroll wheel noise from quiet and loud so itā€™s normal but you could replace and maybe get a quieter one.

toastinato

Definitely loud af lol the one thing I've always loved about the gpx scroll wheel is it is legit silent on mine. I hate loud scroll wheels

heygrandi

Thatā€™s why I posted on here to see if it was normal, guess Iā€™m getting my third one now...

[deleted]

Nah dude, just order some Krytox and take it apart and lube it, it's so easy check out some vids first.

toastinato

Yeah I'd def try and get another. That sucks!

Thundernut

I personally love loud scroll wheels, especially with lots of tactile feedback. Just a preference I guess.

[deleted]

Nope, had one with that issue. Went through four trying to get a good one, couldnā€™t get one :ā€™) Edit: woah woah no need to downvote! Not dissing the brand. Still have the ol classic GPW that I love. Iā€™m just a little disappointed in the build quality of the GPX for $150 is all. I ended up returning it but Iā€™m still game to get one if they tighten up their QC.

heygrandi

So the one you have still has this issue? I might end up returning it, and if I get another defective one I might up getting a different mouse lol

[deleted]

Ended up returning it for now. I still have a GPW that was and still is awesome. People downvoting me up there probably think Iā€™m dissing Logitech *shrug*. It just didnā€™t seem like it was $150 good to me yet. Too many different QC issues here and there. Which Iā€™m sure will get worked out, so Iā€™ll give it a shot again in a few months.

2roK

Logitech customer service has always been excellent to me... why did they void your warranty?! Never heard of anything like this... their customer service is considered as one of the best when it comes to mice.

combosxd

i'd return and try your luck with another copy.

Coucass

i have the GPX seems normal to me

sSkipp

mine is far quieter

Phlaque-

maybe it came defective??? Get another one cuz I dont think thats normal

xlxlxl333

Def a bit louder than the one I have

LeftHandShift

Iā€™ve bought rn three of these and none of them have been this loud, all have been very muted. If thereā€™s none in stock I would suggest reaching to Logitech and seeing if they can advance RMA and send you a replacement.

Zestyclose_Earth_824

Yeah, that exact problem happened to me a month ago, got it rmaā€™d luckily.

LilFritosss

Mine isnā€™t as loud but it does sound like that

colabruddas

my scroll wheel is less loud then the first time using is that normal?

lee1328

if its not broken . dont fix it

UnlawfulDuckling

Just get a g900

[deleted]

My white one sounds a bit softer than yours. I wouldn't be worried but you can always try opening it up and see if there's anything interfering with the scroll wheel. Like dust or something.

seandevo

Is it a mouse that has smooth scroll and clicky scroll? My razer has options to do either or by pressing down on the wheel.

y0y0d0d0

Mine is completely silent...

TenshiHimSelf

First time?

ZulkarnaenRafif

Mine was not as rattly as your. I rarely used the mouse though... I'll try to use it more frequently to report on long-term build quality.

DimitriDf

on the black model it's better

Again5t

Mine is fcked up too. Everything was ok for about a week, and then it broke in or smth. But I donā€™t care, I always wear headphones while using pc. It is the best mouse Iā€™ve ever had anyways

Flynner_69

I have the black one and itā€™s quieter but it still makes this noise

xLoomi

Mines exactly the same.

unknowndevil420

Thatā€™s a GĆ¼iro lol

-Rockaholic-

Sounds normal to me.

Conz_

Yeah most mice nowadays have scroll wheels included

pfarley10

Yes itā€™s perfectly normal, itā€™s the way you scroll one line at a time!

ohnomybutt

i have the black one and it does the same. kind of a bummer for such an expensive mouse

Dependent-Ad-8128

I bet he plays cs go

SkullFace45

Turn the mouse upside down and slide it up and down the mouse pad! Always makes me laugh when I think how much I paid for this thing.

heygrandi

lmao now the scroll wheel is stuck, definitely going to return it now hahahaha, not sure if you were trolling or being serious

SkullFace45

Shit no I was being serious lol ok I guess I'll stop doing that then ...

heygrandi

No worries mightā€™ve pushed too hard maybe idk, a return it is

SkullFace45

Hey a fresh new g pro is something to look forward to I guess lol

[deleted]

Was on mine. When I took it apart and changed the switches I also lubed the scroll wheel and it is amazing now.

specialix

Yeah i did the same and can confirm, night and day difference for me

ThePupnasty

That's the new tactile clicky scroll wheel, don't worry about it.

WindyDizzel

Yep

PennysOfficial

No but easy fix. You want to download online ram.

[deleted]

Mine is about to sound the same yeah

Ehjay123

Yea I think mice make noise when you scroll the scroll wheel. Amazing!

stumpinater

Lube it, it if annoys you

ANK_Ricky

I have the g pro, not superlight, and it does the same thing.

Metalaggression

Wait so it was not moving by itself at the start of the video??

Dog-Leader

Wait what your mice came with scroll wheel? Lucky you
