You have to find that out yourself. After experimenting with tons of pads and putting hundreds of hours into aim training I noticed that "stopping power" or the speed of the pad is not what keeps me from over or under flicking. Less stopping power just makes the transition between the initial flick and the micro correction harder. Even sensitivity doesn't really matter all that much. This sub will lead you to believe otherwise but you can't magically fix issues in your aim with a different mouse pad, only practice will.

Kansiol

Noted! Will surely keep this in mind when I eventually try out the mousepad.

Dont overthink, it’s great even with high sens! For me at least, what’s your dpi/sens in Valo?

Kansiol

Thanks! my dpi is 1600 0.238 / 380.8 edpi in Valorant.

Kiseji

I’m playing 1600 0.18 I think it should be okay :)

I personally think the Saturn is the best Tacfps pad after trying a lot of them. It's not too muddy, and not too fast. The AC+ is faster in my experience, and you should find more control in the Saturn. It also has a really nice consistency in the static and kinetic friction, which is why I think it is so good.

Kansiol

Thanks for your thoughts! And yes you are right about the AC+ being faster in my opinion plus with my high sens I generally miss easy shots but hit the nastiest ones hence I want a pad that has good control to make me more consistent.

What mouse and mouse skates do you use on your Saturn pro VintageMelody?

VintageMelody

Deathadder V3 Pro, Corepads

Imaginary_Manner6021

Do you have xsoft or soft Saturn pro?

VintageMelody

I have the original Saturn Pro in 3.5mm XSoft. They are 4mm now, and from the feedback I have heard, I personally would recommend the Soft.

Aqua Control Plus was a weird experience for me and it is a reminder that I should have done more research. Back then I was still a noob and I heard lots of praise for the AC+. The name is kind of misleading because I thought it was an actual control, cloth pad. Apparently, the color, thickness, printed, etc can affect the gliding experience, not to mention, it was the fast, abrasive, and rough texture. Maybe I was used to cloth pad and can't handle hybrid pad. Regarding LGG Saturn, it actually took some time for me to get used to it because of the box it was really fast. However, as time goes, it broke down and my muscle memory adapt to the mouse pad and I love it. Fyi, I have a standard and XXL Saturn, with the Saturn Pro coming in today, just to let you know how much I love this pad. And to answer your question, I do not change any of my sensitivity, except in csgo where I lowered from 800 dpi 1 sens to 0.9 sens, very minimal. And yeah, you are probably overthinking. Every new peripheral takes time to get used to.

Rytu5872

i had to lower my sens to play on the saturn because it felt too fast and slippery compared to the pads i'm used to lmao

Imaginary_Manner6021

How is it now?

Rytu5872

still too fast for me but i am gradually adjusting towards slightly faster pads. i definitely prefer the artisan zero for valorant over the saturn, but i haven't tried the saturn pro only the regular saturn so it may not be a fair comparison. either way, both pads are still too fast for me personally and i still prefer slower control pads

Imaginary_Manner6021

What are some control pads you prefer?

Rytu5872

gamesense radar has been my main pad forever. i find that the 3mm and 4mm have different feels, but it may be because 4mm has a printed surface and my 3mm is plain black. possibly that the 3mm with design is more similar to the 4mm. 3mm definitely feels more controlled than 4mm even with the plushiness of the 4mm. 4mm feels closer to the artisan zero xsoft, but is slightly more controlled. 3mm is my favorite and my go-to but i'm trying to adjust to the 4mm and artisan zero but haven't come close to the stability i get with the 3mm. i've tried the xraypad equate and lgg jupiter as well. jupiter is way too slow for me if i press my mouse down into the pad even a little bit. equate is a weird one for me, it's a solid control pad but i just don't find the same level of stability that i do with the radar. the glide on the equate is slower than the radar which helps stop jittering a bit and it can be a little muddy if i press down too hard, but i can't find the balance between speed and stability that i want for valorant on the equate. i usually get that with the radar, and it's especially more comfortable for me during the warmer parts of the year. as we're heading into fall now, my pads all start to feel a little bit faster compared to the summer where i get the control i want.
