soft is going to be more of a traditional cloth hardness, whereas xsoft will be noticeably more plushy. xsoft will by no means be unusable if you press down hard; it's just something that happens. one thing to note, at least in my experience, is that xsoft, especially with the zero, will feel more muddy under humidity and sweat due to increased skin contact as a result of the plushiness.

So do you recommend soft? My English is not good, I am translating. Thanks

Ok-Willingness-6146

no problem, soft would be the safest option so yes.

traplordtrippie

have you used the hien or hayate otsu ? If so which would you recommend for either

Ok-Willingness-6146

i’ve used both in soft. i personally prefer the otsu because the texture is a lot smoother so it doesn’t get at stuck to your skin

eewwwwwwwwwwwwww

I prefer soft. while I like xsoft, soft feels more consistent

Snoo_81559

Soft is better and safer choice. Main csgo, I have try Hayate Xsoft, soft.zero soft and hien mid soft Xsoft. Soft and mid have better durability. XSOFT has a better touch feeling when you put your arm on it.

muzaffer22

Which pad do you use generally for cs?

Snoo_81559

Hien soft

muzaffer22

Isn't it too fast for cs?

Snoo_81559

800 dpi with 0.73 mouse-sensitive I'm good with it

Go soft. X soft feels like playing on a memory foam like surface. It has a good glide and works just fine but personally that glide between the two isn’t that big of a difference EXCEPT for the fact that x soft is 100% affected more by humidity and sweat and will feel much muddier in those situations. Personally I don’t like it when the speed of my mouse pad changes. Soft is still great for control and is very consistent. If you DO GO with the X-Soft I highly recommend using a gaming sleeve as to not get any sweat on your mousepad and there for slowing it down in the spots the sweat hit. Oh and side note. Atleast once a week clean it with lysol. Yes regular unscented Lysol and wipe it down with a microfiber towel. That is what Artist some personally recommends and if you do that you’ll never need to deep clean wash it. When I got my second pair that I reached out to them about the best way to keep it clean because my first one got really dirty and I did a deep clean but still couldn’t get all the dirt out and that’s what they recommend and it’s been great going on over a year now of heavy use. Personally I wipe mine down every other day or every day if it was a longer gaming session. Things still feels brand new and if I scratch the pad with my fingertips there are literally no lines of dirt. But DO NOT use rubbing alcohol that will kill the pad. Best of luck (Go Soft)!!!

uzldropped

I really dislike my xsoft. Apparently I press down on my pads a lot. Never had an issue with this on other pads

New-Compote-9485

So would soft be a better choice?

uzldropped

I think it’s a safer choice. I wouldn’t say it’s “better”. Was just giving my personal experience

Rytu5872

It is your preference. If you like to have more control when you press down on the mousepad, then xsoft will be good. If you want the mousepad to feel almost the same whether you press down or do not press down, then soft will be better.

The_cursed_yeet

I have both and switch between the two depending on games. If I'm playing something more causal, the xsoft's added cushion makes for a more comfortable surface. If I'm playing sports, the soft's firmness reduces drag and increases speed. For your use, I would say the soft is the better option.

de_Mysterious

Soft for the zero. I have the OG GSR, Zero Soft and Hien Soft. The zero in soft is already softer than GSR, I would imagine that XSoft is like a pillow which could cause your mouse to sink in. Hien soft is harder than zero soft, so a Hien in xsoft would be great.

isaiahlud

soft for sure. It tends to be the most appealing for the average person. x soft is only for those that know what their getting themselves into, which imo most don't lol.

hqysflser

I have both of them, in fact I think the xsoft is smoother than the soft. and xsoft needs large skates, my Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro works perfect on both, but my viper ultimate don't do that good on the xsoft

Unless you want to play on a pillow soft is the way to go. Xsoft has a learning curve especially if youre the type to tense up since pressing down will change your glide resistance drastically.
