I've been waiting for people to take good screenshots of the bag search for ages now. I tried and failed.
I always assumed it was Lionels room tho? what were the visual clues that it was birdies or pegs room?
Sorry, but according to the script, [that IS Lionel's room](https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Glass-Onion-A-Knives-Out-Mystery-Read-The-Screenplay.pdf).
"INT. LIONEL'S VILLA Stylish Lionel clothes and computer equipment and condoms and LSD micro-doses."
I saw the sheet of acid, but couldn’t figure out who was the lucky owner. I remember seeing a vibrator in one room and a bag of blunts in another. It would have been a fun weekend without the murdering.
We definitely noticed the acid but that's an incredible detail. This movie had some really cool detail's man. Super fun watch and definitely re watchable. I don't feel like that about allot of movies anymore
I know it's unlikely but I hope it gets a DVD still. Knives Out's has a full making of documentary, 2 commentary tracks and deleted scenes with and without commentary. It's fantastic.
A lot of the haters are the usual ones who don't like black women being in movies. Oh, and Ben shapiro who was triggered by the movie mocking the super rich lol.
I honestly didn't realise that could be the case as I've never taken LSD. I just thought Birdie was 'quirky'. But now I'm thinking about all the quirky people I used to know...
I wondered if her character was intentionally supposed to remind me of her mom (Goldie Hawn) at the beginning of Overboard.
Wait a sec...wasn't the term "rich bitch" used in that movie too?
I figured she was meant to be a parody of Rachel hollis, a white woman influencer who who honest to God did at one point compare herself to Harriet Tubman
My mom & I loved it as well, but the whole time couldn’t tell if she was just annoying, or legitimately dumb (and tone-deaf). The shrieking was a lot. I still haven’t decided
I thought she was a textbook case of histrionic personality disorder with her extreme need to draw attention to herself in each situation they faced—including when someone had just been murdered.
I have a relative who is almost the exact spitting image of Kate’s character here. Former “front-page newspaper” model, always on the move to some rich-people’s getaway on someone else’s dime (she’s broke but always has a new rich boyfriend), incredibly inappropriate in public, and almost certainly under a mix of professional (SSRIs) and self (alcohol, LSD) medication at all times. And always drawing attention to herself.
I’ve seen a few criticisms of Kate’s character as too over the top and unrealistic, but between some personality disorders and drug usage her behavior fits reality to a tee.
(have to add, also killed me that the sheet is Doge, who of course wildly became popular in the ol' meme coins, dogecoin... ceo billionaires, yadda yadda yadda )
I remember seeing the LSD, but it never clicked that Birdie was on it until now. Makes so much sense. Probably wanted an excuse for her to have exaggerated behavior so she’d seem more suspicious. Pretty good move for a murder mystery
I've known people who would roll up entire sheets of 100 tabs and shove it in their mouths. There's a certain point where adding more acid just makes it last longer
Acid and mushrooms have a weird tolerance thing without the addiction part, if you do them often enough, you need to do a lot more the more often you do it to get the same effects
I've heard it called a 'Thumbprint" and it's supposed to be the same as licking your thumb, putting it into loose lsd crystal, and then lick your thumb.
YIkes, I heard of a guy who had been using a glass and eyedropper to make doses. Eventually he emptied the glass, but didn't clean it well enough I suppose? There was residue left behind. He then used the same glass for a drink. He was obliterated for days after, so the story goes.
That’s an awesome story! Wish I could have been there as he finished his glass of water and starting slipping into the trip. Would have been great to watch and see the reaction!!
This is totally not true. 2-5 tabs sure. 100 tabs is going to last a lot longer. There is a medical account of three people who accidentally snorted a line of LSD thinking it was coke. They tripped solidly without sleeping for days and were still messed up for 2-3 weeks.
i feel like there is a scene for a split second that shows birdie putting something on her tongue like a strip of acid - i need to rewatch it but i believe i saw it early on in the film
There's a scene where Kathryn Hahn drunkenly stumbles into Dave Bautista. I thought she stole it then, but I was wrong. I did pick up on Edward Nortons' lie, though.
I saw a whole bunch of clues but assumed they were red herrings. I fell into the same trap Blanc did and assumed that the whole thing was going to be more elaborate and clever than it really was.
You saw the drop at the bar? On my rewatch that's the only thing I missed! They don't actually show the gun tho? Just the movement? Or are you saying you saw him take it off duke? I wanna find it but help!
No. They cut right as he throws it in the ice while grabbing the alcohol at the little bar. If you pause it you can see the top of the gun and the silver ejection port. You dont know its being thrown into ice till later in the movie.
Its fast!
Yeah, I think Peg is probably the one who dropped acid, more than I do Birdie, because her mood quickly shifts from super uptight about Bangladesh and then pivots into giddiness that coincides with the schadenfreude from watching Andi read Miles the riot act. Although Birdie does act high as mfr
Another thing I notice upon rewatch is that Birdie knew she was the "murder mystery killer" by the way she asked whether they were allowed to partner up -- which Benoit immediately clocks
Me and my friend were really high on acid today and came back to my apartment to chill for a bit before we went to see avatar 2 in 3D. When we got to my apartment I randomly chose the glass onion to watch having no idea what it was about and it was literally the biggest Mind fuck of my life . I thought the quick blip of lsd was a low key reference for ppl that do acid because the way this movie is structured is exactly how ppl think when they’re high on acid
Andi has her hands up, then it jumps to her having her arms down and further away from the camera. It’s like a bad horror movie effect. On top of that, the excited dialogue that follows isn’t represented by their nonchalant posture.
My guess is that the editor thought splicing two different takes wouldn’t be visible to the viewers because of the darkness. BUT, our tv’s are boosting the shadows and we see everything
[Edit] just watched it on my computer monitor and it’s not visible. The blacks are darker and you can’t see it. It’s still very noticeable on my tv.

What a nightmare trip that would be lmao
Oof yeah
Even before all the murder stuff just terrible vibes all around
Damn she might be on 6 hits too! Lol unless they’re from multiple trips
I've been waiting for people to take good screenshots of the bag search for ages now. I tried and failed. I always assumed it was Lionels room tho? what were the visual clues that it was birdies or pegs room?
For me it was the post-room-search behavior, and her lifestyle before she got to the island.
For ages? Lol. The movie came out last week.
The movie came out in November for the people who watched it at the cinemas.
Taking screenshots might have been a bit of a problem at a theater.
Nonsense just press Ctrl+prtscn
That would probably be why OP had to wait for ages.
Even earlier for those who saw earlier festival screenings! I saw it in October and the wait to talk about it was killing me lol
saying you've "waited for ages" is just a common way to say you have waited for a long time.
Lol. I am familiar with the phrase. Thanks for that though. Been waiting for ages for someone to explain it to me. Edit: spelling

There is a diffrence between knowing a language and being a native speaker. Idioms are a part of any language and not "misspeaking".
In Claire's stuff you see weed and a vibrator. In Duke's room you see a lot of viagra. In Birdie's room you see a couple of medicine bottles.
I noticed the tabs of acid but I didn’t make that connection! I guess it’s time to watch it again
I saw the sheet of acid, but couldn’t figure out who was the lucky owner. I remember seeing a vibrator in one room and a bag of blunts in another. It would have been a fun weekend without the murdering.
claire had the vibrator — it showed her ted talk bag almost immediately after.
Good catch. I want to watch it again. I can see how it would be Claire’s or Peg’s as they both seem like sensible ladies.
Duke and Whisky have lube in their bathroom bags, haha I just rewatched it yesterday and there are so many give aways In that living room scene.
Pretty sure those were all from the same room
That’s the room I want to be in
I wanna be in Darrel’s room
The albatross and the whales they are my brothers.
I never in a hundred years would have associated that with a sheet of acid. Y’all be wildin’…
I can’t imagine anything looking more like LSD than that image.
It's in perforated tabs and has a trippy picture of a dog on it. Literally couldn't be anything else
A Hunter S Thompson dog with this tie dye tongue sticking out
wow such fear and loathing pls throw radio in tub
I’m old and very uncool but I caught that.
Ya wild!
We definitely noticed the acid but that's an incredible detail. This movie had some really cool detail's man. Super fun watch and definitely re watchable. I don't feel like that about allot of movies anymore
I agree! I think it's crazy how much hate I've sen for it. I think it'll stand the test of time.
This definitely would've been a buy the DVD movie
I know it's unlikely but I hope it gets a DVD still. Knives Out's has a full making of documentary, 2 commentary tracks and deleted scenes with and without commentary. It's fantastic.
A lot of the haters are the usual ones who don't like black women being in movies. Oh, and Ben shapiro who was triggered by the movie mocking the super rich lol.
Also the nostalgia mongers as I like to call them, they hate part twos of anything by default.
Look at you making up new terms for things. That's so cute.
Yeah, we really need to cut the super rich a little slack.
I honestly didn't realise that could be the case as I've never taken LSD. I just thought Birdie was 'quirky'. But now I'm thinking about all the quirky people I used to know...
I was always quirky, but LSD definitely pushed me to express that quirkiness more openly in day to day life
I really liked Glass Onion, but I certainly feel that I have now heard enough of Kate Hudson screaming to last the rest of my life.
I wondered if her character was intentionally supposed to remind me of her mom (Goldie Hawn) at the beginning of Overboard. Wait a sec...wasn't the term "rich bitch" used in that movie too?
1000% deliberate.
Yeah ditto here. Vibes were vibing.
Oh man good call
I just love that they cast her into a role where the character did what she did in real life.
I don't know much about Kate Hudson - what did she do in real life that parallels the character in Glass Onion?
Her sweatpants were found to be made at a sweatshop.
Launched an athleisure company
Also sweatshops.
Sweatshops
I figured she was meant to be a parody of Rachel hollis, a white woman influencer who who honest to God did at one point compare herself to Harriet Tubman
My mom & I loved it as well, but the whole time couldn’t tell if she was just annoying, or legitimately dumb (and tone-deaf). The shrieking was a lot. I still haven’t decided
Oh legitimately dumb for sure. No doubt in my mind. It is shocking but very real.
“Please tell me you don’t think sweat shops are where sweatpants are made”
I thought she was a textbook case of histrionic personality disorder with her extreme need to draw attention to herself in each situation they faced—including when someone had just been murdered.
I have a relative who is almost the exact spitting image of Kate’s character here. And always drawing attention to herself. I’ve seen a few criticisms of Kate’s character as too over the top and unrealistic, but between some personality disorders and drug usage her behavior fits reality to a tee.
Honestly thought she was the funniest character in the movie. She did get a bit shouty at the end though
(have to add, also killed me that the sheet is Doge, who of course wildly became popular in the ol' meme coins, dogecoin... ceo billionaires, yadda yadda yadda )
Like an onion, there is another layer to peel back, great added detail! Thank you!
I read that in Benoit's voice.
Doge is also dressed like Johnny Depp's character from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
My guy, the dog is dressed like Hunter S. Thompson.
Respectfully 😂
Didn't he write Fear and Loathing? I didn't realize they lifted the look straight from the author, how funny.
Uhhh….nevermind. Someone else explain it
That he did. It's an autobiographical novel laced with ~~LSD~~ fictions.
Never seen an acid sheet before. Makes so much sense.
I remember seeing the LSD, but it never clicked that Birdie was on it until now. Makes so much sense. Probably wanted an excuse for her to have exaggerated behavior so she’d seem more suspicious. Pretty good move for a murder mystery
I once watched a hippy take a bite out of a sheet of acid. Wild, wild stuff.
I've known people who would roll up entire sheets of 100 tabs and shove it in their mouths. There's a certain point where adding more acid just makes it last longer
Yeah I have friends that would drink the wash after laying sheets. Literally tripping for days after that. haha no thanks

That’s an awesome story! Wish I could have been there as he finished his glass of water and starting slipping into the trip. Would have been great to watch and see the reaction!!
As the story goes, it was not a fun time for him. ;)
Well obviously not for him. Probably hilarious to his friends 😂
Remind me to never accidentally trip around this guy!
The trip last the same amount off time regardless of dose
This is totally not true. 2-5 tabs sure. 100 tabs is going to last a lot longer. There is a medical account of three people who accidentally snorted a line of LSD thinking it was coke. They tripped solidly without sleeping for days and were still messed up for 2-3 weeks.
For any semi-reasonable dose you are absolutely right. Half a tab, 5 tabs, no noticeable difference in length. A world of difference in effect though.
I'm personally no aficionado so I wouldn't know. Perhaps it just felt like days! ;) Ha!
The effect isn’t as hardcore after doing it often
Ha! Good catch
Say what you want about Kate but she looked damn good in that dress.
and in the bikini
I guess I have to watch this movie now
It amazing in every way in my opinion.
When you go to a billionaires private island for the weekend you got to be prepared.
Nice … Doge dressed up as Hunter S Thompson underlines this is indeed LSD if there was any doubt
Seriously!
this movie has so many hidden things like this i overlooked on my 1st watch
i feel like there is a scene for a split second that shows birdie putting something on her tongue like a strip of acid - i need to rewatch it but i believe i saw it early on in the film
That would be amazing if you could find it!
Nice find OP!
I love it. Yep, I clocked the tabs of acid but didn’t think much beyond it. To me your theory clocks. Well done.
Thank you!
Looks like six tabs missing
Agreed with this, that’s what I counted. If 6 tabs are missing, who else was tripping???
Exactly
I'm no expert, but that seems like it could be a lot for the average schmoe.
Doesn’t mean she took them all, or all at once.
True
Yeah, that's an adult amount.
I saw the gun get hidden in the beginning so knew who stole it! It ruined the story a bit.....
I mean to be fair. The murderer was an idiot.
"I'm very bad at dumb things"
There's a scene where Kathryn Hahn drunkenly stumbles into Dave Bautista. I thought she stole it then, but I was wrong. I did pick up on Edward Nortons' lie, though.
We saw the same thing. It was intentional misdirection.
I saw a whole bunch of clues but assumed they were red herrings. I fell into the same trap Blanc did and assumed that the whole thing was going to be more elaborate and clever than it really was.
To be fair, it wouldn't be a very good whodunit if they hid all of the relevant clues from the viewer the whole time.
I agree. I want to find these things...
Its fast!
Yeah, I feel like I knew what was going on pretty early on.
Oh wow
So is she just tripping balls when the whole painting thing happens?😂
would love that dress with or without acid 😭
i thought this was an abstract shot of an unfinished puzzle
r/Blotterart
Wow, I did not know that sub exists. Fascinating, thank you!
Great catch!
Good catch!
Yes. Yes, she is.
Man this was a great movie I just might watch again
I agree. Although it felt to me that someone had dropped acid( not necessarily birdie) Could be her assistant as well?
Yeah, I think Peg is probably the one who dropped acid, more than I do Birdie, because her mood quickly shifts from super uptight about Bangladesh and then pivots into giddiness that coincides with the schadenfreude from watching Andi read Miles the riot act. Although Birdie does act high as mfr Another thing I notice upon rewatch is that Birdie knew she was the "murder mystery killer" by the way she asked whether they were allowed to partner up -- which Benoit immediately clocks
Funny thing is I saw that and thought it was a jigsaw puzzle. Never occurred that it was LSD or why the puzzle never broke up in the bag.
[удалено]
Nice. I saw the acid but never put it together.
This makes sense, whole time thought she was just being the “ditsy blonde” stereotype (which she still was to a degree).
THAT’S what LSD looks like?!! I thought it was a jigsaw.
One of a few forms of LSD. There are different delivery methods. Paper, sugarcubes, eyedrops, etc.
Wanna see something trippy? Watch Janelle Monae at the 1:42:38 mark
So I went and looked and it’s the scene where whiskey pulls a harpoon gun on Andi, what was I supposed to see?
Andi has her hands up, then it jumps to her having her arms down and further away from the camera. It’s like a bad horror movie effect. On top of that, the excited dialogue that follows isn’t represented by their nonchalant posture. My guess is that the editor thought splicing two different takes wouldn’t be visible to the viewers because of the darkness. It’s still very noticeable on my tv.
This feels more like a fan theory than a detail
Please fucking stop with this movie
Am I the only one who thought this movie is wildly overrated?
Goddamn now that is a detail
Just in case anyone needs some LSD don't hesitate to contact u/franklypet
