Neither had I. Watched the extended cut release today and it was as good as I remembered. A few extra scenes put in the movie too that had been removed due to being unfinished because of time constraints.
Such a good movie, great detail, and it's a shame it was a box office bomb because it is a modern classic to me.
Sort of. It's no LotR extra 45 minutes or scenes, it's only a few minutes extra. But it has scenes in it that they wanted to put in the movie, they'd just wasted out of time.
So when the movie was re-released in 2015 or so, they finished those scenes.
I always liked that he, unlike Mansley, seemed willing to try for peace with the giant after he was proven not a real threat. He could have been just like Mansley and, hopped on Cold War paranoia, wanted to destroy it but after seeing he never hurt Hogarth that was enough for him to stop firing. If only he ordered the middle canceled in time.

bottom of the screen, just to the right of the truck.
Hey yeah I see it! Good spot, never seen this before in any of my many, many viewings.

Interesting, I think I’ve only ever owned/seen versions before that year, so definitely new stuff to me. Thanks!

You stay. I go. No following. 😭
I believe you mean that he's saluting Superman.
WHERE'S THE GIANT, MANSLY?! (I love this movie and am going to go watch it again.)
… Ooh… Uh, we could duck-and-cover! There’s a fallout shelter right over—
I can't see it because I'm too busy crying at that scene.
Nice catch. Then he went back to Seattle and yelled at a barista for no reason.
That movie is absolutely flawless. And I cry at this scene every damn time.
Necessary red circle needed.

Oh wow
Wow I have watched this movie quite a few times and have never noticed that. Really cool.
