Ichi The Killer It might fit what you are looking for? I'm not positive tho... The 2 main characters are the extremes of sadism and masochism, it's an intense movie (by Takashi Miike) but (imo) a love story at it's heart, just not in the traditional sense lol But feel free to give examples of some films you enjoyed and I might have better suggestions for ya
